You would get an event similar to 'You created the shared folder xxxx' in the events page. It is possible that this shared folder was created a while ago?
-
If you said you moved the files into another folder, it does sound like you moved them into a shared folder already. Could you check the events page to see the history of the file movements?
-
Hi @"Kashif Nurani", thanks for posting today. It is possible to create a shared folder without inviting anyone to the folder. Currently, there isn't a way to see who you previously shared the folder with, if there was anyone. If you need to unshare the folder, you can follow these steps. I hope this helps to clarify…

Do you see any other login attempts on this page on your account?
-
Hi @"Birsay1", could you attach a screenshot showing the Dropbox desktop application in the menu bar when you click the icon there?
-
Have you tried using the recovery words to log in to your account again?

Hi @"ghettomuppet", just for clarification, are you able to actually access the Dropbox Passwords app and your settings there? Do you have any old devices that you still have access to in order to receive the notifications on those devices?
-
Hi @"Abrouss", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Do you have any proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router settings that could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains? This will help me to assist further!

Hi @"Buck5271", @"Mike B.40", since there are two usernames here, this means that you have two separate Dropbox accounts, and have been logging into different accounts. Please double-check which email you're seeing when logged in on this page, and make sure it's the same email on all your devices.
-
Hi @"twoadmin", I've sent you an email, please could you reply to it when you get a chance? --- Ciao @"twoadmin", ti ho inviato un'email, potresti rispondere quando puoi?
-
Hi @"Buck5271", are you certain that you're signed into the same Dropbox account on all devices? Can you see your phone and laptops on the devices page?
-
Hi @"ColeM", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Was this folder a personal folder, or a shared folder? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"bgillespie12", are you 100% certain that you don't have an Apple ID under your email address? What happens if you attempt to login to the Apple site using your normal email address? Do you see Dropbox listed when you use these steps to login to the Apple site?
-
Hi @"madreocho", could you try removing your access to the file from this page on your account?
-

Hi @"Juliana Silva", did you manually upload the photos to a folder with an automation or naming convention applied to it?
-
HI @"Mike B.40", could you attach a screenshot showing what you're seeing when you connect your phone to your computer?
-
That's correct, if there is a file request associated with that folder, then you should get the option for the sender's name.
-
You should get the option for the sender's name when adding a naming convention in a folder you chose to use for the file requests.

Hi @"Clare1988", Dropbox Simple is the same as any Dropbox plan, in that you can connect your Dropbox desktop application and mobile device to your account to sync files.
-
Hi @"KEAlt", thanks for bringing this to our attention. As the file is being uploaded to the Dropbox site, even if the user is signed in, it would be seen as created by you. The 'modified by' field on the Dropbox site would only be different if you were in a shared folder with other users, and they modified the files.…
