Hi @"nilesh1231", currently it isn't possible to edit text files on the Dropbox site. This would only be possible on the Dropbox mobile app. If you wish, you can suggest this change for others to vote on, so the dev team can look into this in future!
-
Could you attach a screenshot showing your devices page, and the error you're getting when removing them?
-
Hi @"VIP1", thanks for posting today! Could you try switching browsers and then removing the devices to see if this helps? Keep me posted!
-
Hi @"James C.81", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Have you tried right clicking the Dropbox folder and choose Make available offline to have all the files download? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"lauren626", I've sent you an email, please could you reply to it when you get a chance.
-
That's correct, uploading to the Dropbox site directly onto the same file is guaranteed to keep the link active. Letting the file save in Explorer/Finder and then syncing 'might' keep the link, depending on how the save is created, so it isn't guaranteed to keep the link.

Hi @"Alain_Brassard", I've sent you an email, please could you reply to it when you get a chance.
-
We appreciate the feedback on this matter. Regarding refunds, please could you follow the steps in this article depending on where you purchased the plan from.

Hi @"silverlaker39", are you certain that you're signing out of the Dropbox desktop application using the steps my colleague suggested?
-
Hi @"petengai", thanks for bringing this to our attention. It sounds like you used selective sync to prevent entire folders from syncing to your machine. If you want to see placeholders, then you'll need to check those folders using the steps in the above link, which will make the folders appear. You can then mark the…

Hi @"WiseGrasshopper", what happens exactly when you doubleclick a file in Explorer? Does the syncing icon on the file change? Are there any attempted downloads by the Dropbox desktop application? How large is the file you're trying to open?
-
Hi @"Snaggy", generally, saving the file in Explorer/Finder should work to keep the shared link active. However, depending on the app you're using to save the file, this could result in a momentary deletion of that file, thus deleting the link, and then the file being recreated as new again. The only method guaranteed to…

Hi @"cancant", just to check, does this behavior occur for folders or files that are smaller in size?
-
Hi @"orgo5555", as @"Rich" stated, it's possible you created a shared folder, which can be added to a user's Dropbox account when you invite their email. A shared link to a folder, however, allows you to set those permissions.
-
The ellipsis should be on the right then when you hover over the folder, like so:
-
Hi @"RickOShay", the shared link seems to work normally and downloads fine. Is it only certain users who are getting this error, or every user who tries?
-
You'll need to go to the parent folder above this folder, and then click the ellipsis that appears on the right.
-
Hi @"trashcaneron", is it possible that you have any proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router settings that could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains?
-
Hi @"fuserr", thanks for bringing this to our attention. This could mean that an app on your machine might have tried to access those files, not necessarily open them, so it could've been a security program or antivirus. Is it possible that you might any apps or services that might monitor the Dropbox folder on your…

Hi @"HAS1", I've merged you to this thread to keep similar queries together. Could you contact the support team by opening an incognito/private browsing window, while not signed into your account, and accessing this link? Please make sure to pick an email to which you can receive and send emails from.
-
Hi @"Koorbloh", do you mean that the email was deleted from your inbox entirely somehow? Are you not able to locate it in your trash folder in order to reply to my colleague?
-
Hi @"jonsymbolgoodman", thanks for bringing this to our attention. The sharing tab might show an approximate amount of data for sizes over 1 GB. You can calculate the exact size of the folders by following these steps. I'd recommend checking the first folder which shows 1 GB in total on that page. Keep me updated with any…

Thanks for the screenshot, it's possible that this could happen if you moved to the File Provider version a year ago, and used the context menus to change the syncing status, and then upgraded to Mac OS 13. Could you try marking the entire Dropbox folder itself, by right clicking it directly, and choosing either Available…

Thanks for the info. Could you check to see how many devices you have currently connected on your account from this page? If you could also see this info for your personal account as well, that would help.
-
Thanks for the info, could you attach a screenshot showing the exact window you're getting when attempting to login to the Business account in the Dropbox desktop application, while hiding any personal emails or names?
-
Hi @"lauren626", could you try these steps to see if you're able to set up the backup manually? If not, could you attach a screenshot showing what you're seeing on that backup prompt?
-
Thanks for the info. Do you have any proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router settings that could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains?
-
It shouldn't be possible for files to have both icons on them, unless these are package files which could contain their own hidden subfolders within the file. Could you attach a screenshot showing what you're seeing, while hiding any personal names and info. However, showing the file extensions would be helpful.
-
HI @"ricodude", could you try switching browsers to see if this helps? Otherwise, you can try using incognito/private browsing mode without any extensions running?
-
Thanks for the info. If you're getting the two icons appearing on the folder, this would mean that one of the files in the folder is online-only. This article gives more information on this matter. Could you check inside the folder to see if there is an online-only file, by the icons shown?
