Hey Fazxc, I’m sorry to hear about this. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but you're using the Dropbox mobile app, and not www.dropbox.com on your Android device. Correct? If yes, were you using our camera uploads feature to add these photos to your Dropbox account, or were you trying to add them manually instead? As for…

Hey @"J Harold W."! Thanks for your post. Can you clarify which log files you’re referring to exactly? Feel free to send over a screenshot of what you’re seeing, too. Ping me, once you’re ready.

Without clicking on the “Open CSV” button in your email, can you go to your Shared tab here and check if there are any files/folders that are shared with that team?
-
Thanks for the screenshot, @"tomtom989898"! Do you happen to share any files/folders with a Dropbox team under the name of “WJC CVE”? Based on the email you received, it could be that the team is currently in locked state and your common files will get deleted on the 06/26. If you check your Dropbox account directly,…

You can definitely accept the solution that worked for you, Martie! If the issue comes back, we can revoke it then.
-
@"tomtom989898", can you send me a screenshot of the email you got, while showing its sender, as well? Please also follow these steps to make sure your Dropbox account is secure.
-
Perfect! Are you still unable to open your Excel files now?
-
Thanks for confirming! Next thing I’d like you to do is open the Microsoft Excel app on your iPad and follow these steps: 1. Navigate to Excel app 2. Tap account icon in top left corner 3. Tap 'Storage Accounts' 4. Add Dropbox account. Please also make sure that there’s no more than one Dropbox account listed there.
-
If you save one of the Excel files you can’t currently open to your iPad, are you having any issues opening it then? Or are you able to access it, just like you can on your Files app?
-
Hey @"UpSurge"! Please follow Walter’s instructions here first. After that, you can download the beta app version from this page.
-
Glad to hear that, @"Beatboxer". Let us know if the same issue occurs again, and we’ll be happy to look into it.
-
@"mgm17", hope you don’t mind if I jump in. Can you send me a screenshot of the email you received from Dropbox?
-
Besides the file that you deleted, did you try to share another one that could be perceived as malware, as well?
-
Thanks for the updates! I wouldn't recommend deleting the Dropbox cache folder, as it’s important for the proper function of the desktop app (you can see more info about this here). The files that you see inside the cache folder though, are they files that you worked on/accessed these last few days, or you haven’t touched…

Hi @"Rayza"! Welcome to our Community. Out of curiosity, is this the first time you’re experiencing this issue, or has this happened before? Are you seeing a specific message from the list of errors provided here? Keep me posted.
-
Hey @"NAK"! Let me jump in here, too. Can you send me a screenshot of what you see at your Events page? I’d also like one more visual of what you see here.
-
Hey @"MikeInGFD"! Sorry to hear this is happening. As a first step, I’d like you to restart the Dropbox app on your computer (in case you haven’t already) and let me know if you can see those notifications again on your screen. If you can, I’d like a screenshot of them, too. If not, do you remember what they were about?…
-
Hi again, @"Saz1"! Can you go to your Start menu > Programs and restart the Dropbox app from there? Can you see the Dropbox icon in your system tray after that? If yes, let me know how your files are syncing now.
-
Glad to hear that did the trick, @"TvdM-62"! I’ll be here for anything else you may need. Cheers!
-
Hi again, Koen! I can see that there was already a ticket logged for this, and it appears that the issue has now been addressed. That said, if I've misunderstood the case, don't hesitate to let me know.
-
Hmm, I see. Can you open your Finder once again, go to your Applications folder and restart the Dropbox app from there? Let me know if you can see the Dropbox icon in your menu bar after that and sync your files.
-
Thanks for the additional info! It really helps. So, from your description, it looks like there’s a syncing issue on the desktop app of your computer (the one you upload files from) and it doesn’t connect properly to our servers, in order to sync the files online and to the rest of your devices. Can you let me know what’s…
-
Hey @"TvdM-62"! Thanks for posting on our forum. After dragging the file to the desktop app on your computer, can you see it on www.dropbox.com, as well? As for your handheld device, can you clarify the syncing status and app version of your Dropbox app there? Keep me in the loop for more updates.
-
Hey @"Saz1", thanks for your post. As a first step, can you check your Dropbox account on www.dropbox.com? Can you see the same files you’ve saved on your desktop app there? Let me know, and we’ll investigate this further.
-
I’m happy you were able to figure this out, @"skylog"! If you need something else, don’t hesitate to give me a nudge.
-
Thanks for the extra info, @"alesmana"! Are you sure that the files were deleted indeed and not moved to another location within your Dropbox account? In general, if a file is moved, this will also be reflected as a deletion from the original folder and an addition to the new one (at your Events page).
-
No worries, @"Martie"! If the error appears again, feel free to post it here then.
-
Hey @"Maddilynxdimick"! Can you describe to me the exact steps you’re taking to select your photos on the mobile app? Are you using the Photos tab? I’ll be able to further guide you this way.
-
Hi from me too, Koen! As a test, can you create one more folder in the same directory as the “Test folder” and let me know if you're unable to change its permissions, as well? Feel free to do this via a different browser too, so that we can isolate the issue a bit more.
-
Hey @"mydrumbox"! How long has it been since you deleted your other Dropbox account? If you open an incognito window on your browser now and try to log in to www.dropbox.com with that email address, do you see a message that the account has been deleted?
