Hey @christy-nelson - thanks for joining the discussion here. What you outlined is actually expected as it's no longer possible to create folders or files in the root via the desktop app, but you should be able to do it on the website normally. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hi there @DAC4 - sorry to hear about this. Can you please send us a screenshot of the exact error they're getting when trying to move the shared folder back into their Dropbox folder? This will help us assist further.
-
Hi there @guruuno - sorry to hear about this and thanks for letting us know about the troubleshooting steps you've attempted so far. Could you just clarify what version of the Dropbox desktop app you're using and if you have reached out to our support team about this? Also, have you tried fixing your hardlinks and…

Hi there @mrmrmr - thanks for bringing this to our attention. Can you please clarify your computer's OS version, and the version of the Dropbox app you're using? Do you happen to be running any security software on your computer by the way? Let us know more and we'll take it from there.
-
In that case, you can try chatting with our support team directly through this page. Let us know of any updates @FLSunshine
-
Hey @Feonafe - sorry to hear about this. Did you try getting in contact with our support team directly perhaps?
-
Hey @CharlieSha - thanks for the feedback on this. I've passed it on to the team internally and you can let us know if you have anything else to add. For now, you can use the 'Preview on Dropbox.com' option that will take you to the same page as the 'send for signature' option did. From there, you'll be able to send it for…

Hey @Noelinho, could you clarify if this happens with the Dropbox desktop app completely closed as well? Also, do you happen to have any 3rd party apps that might be syncing, backing up or somehow monitoring your files on the affected computer? If you could also let us know the app's version as shown in your task bar as…
-
Thanks for clarifying that for us @FungusSausage Can you please clarify where exactly are you spotting the issue with the thumbnails as it's not quite clear to me from your screenshot? Is this when you navigate your files locally on your devices or via a 3rd party app perhaps?
-
Is this with the app running or completely closed @FLSunshine?
-
If you've ensured that the files the shared links point to haven't been deleted by their owner, could you try another network and let us know if you still get the same results @CarlsB?
-
Sure thing @"bersona3" - you've got Whenever you get the chance, please take a look at your inbox and we'll take it from there.
-
Hey @lausbd - thanks for using Dropbox and posting on our Community! Shared links you'll be generating for the files you'd like to host on your website most likely won't change, but might generate excessive traffic which could in turn lead to a ban of your sharing capabilities. I hope this helps a tad.

No worries, Piet. You've got
-
Hey @pietjacobs - sorry to hear about this. Would it be OK if we sent you an email to have a further look internally?
-
Thanks for the additional information @"bersona3" Since you made sure that you're looking at the correct account and since there's no file activity showing in your events page and you can't find those files in your deleted files page, the Sharing tab and/or your backups page, I'm afraid we won't be able to help much from…
-
Thanks for clarifying that for us @"gariloki" We've logged your feedback on this in our system and you can let us know if you have anything else to add. If you'd like to use the website instead, you can have a look at this page for keyboard shortcuts, and this one for starring your files.
-
Hey @"NPN-PN" - thanks for sharing your thoughts on this with us! I've passed your comments on to the team and you can let us know if you have anything else to add. Cheers!

Did you ensure that you received this email from a trusted email address/contact of yours @CptDreadRoberts? As for attaching a screenshot here, you should be able to do it via the camera icon, but if it's not working for you, you might need to clear your browser's cache or use another browser.
-
Hey @jerryhsi - thanks for bringing this to our attention. I'm afraid you won't be able to submit your application to the email address you mentioned, but have you ensured that you're following the steps @Rich previously outlined?
-
Hey @MDuser89, have you tried renaming your files to be ordered as you'd like, as Rich suggested? Other than that, I'm afraid there's not much else we can really recommend to achieve this.
-
Could you maybe send us a screenshot so that we can have a visual too @CptDreadRoberts? Also, where exactly did you receive this email and how did the link look like?
-
Hey @"skarl" - sorry to jump in here, but could you try one last thing for me before we revert this to email? I'd like you to try zooming in and out in your browser to see if there's a way to close the window shown in your screenshot. Let me know if you still notice the same!
-
When is the last time you remember seeing them on the website @"bersona3"? If you're not seeing any signs of them in your events page, it may be that they were never uploaded in the first place.

While I can't suggest on the other apps, for the Dropbox app on your iPad, you can follow these steps: * Open the Dropbox iOS app. * Tap the account icon (person) in the bottom right. * Tap the gear icon in the top right. * Scroll down and tap Clear cache. * Tap Clear cache again. Once you’ve cleared the cache, log out of…

Hey @"Windo" - sorry to hear that. Could you clarify the exact OS version of your computer, and the version and status of the Dropbox desktop app as shown in your menu bar? Also, can you find another file in your Dropbox folder and control-click on it and send us a screenshot of the options you get?
-
Thanks for the additional information, Christopher - much appreciated. I just gave it a go on my Windows device as well and I was able to see the "view on Dropbox.com" option normally on my files. Do you have any 3rd party apps installed on your computer that might be causing issues? Can you maybe send me a full screenshot…

Hi there @Caamada - thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. When you say you shouldn't need to upgrade for this function, could you elaborate a tad as it's not quite clear to me? When it comes to the size of your folders, you can use this feature. As for checking the number of the items a folder contains, you can hover…

Sure thing @Silvarthur - you've got

Hi @Charlie Windsor - thanks for the additional information and the screenshots too. I just wanted to mention that the grey squares are called placeholder files which will sometimes show up while your files are still being processed in the back-end. In case you have only recently added these photos to your account, please…
