If you don't see anything in the file's version history, I'm afraid your edits didn't make it to our servers, but perhaps it's been cached by the app you were using at that time, namely Microsoft Excel. In any case, let us know of any updates @"jfreed"

In that case, could you try reinstalling the app using the offline installer from this page directly @"jfreed" ? Also, when you say 'saved information' are you referring to the files you've stored in Dropbox or something else?

Based on your screenshots, it seems that Dropbox Backup isn't enabled so could you try enabling it (as shown in your first screenshot) and let us know how it goes @"JCRCAN"? Just make sure not to delete anything for the moment to avoid any data loss.

I see, thanks for clarifying that and also providing your feedback on this @"famishedrover" -it's been noted in our system. The workaround here would be to use the annotation option within the Files app as you mentioned, but note that making the Files offline in Dropbox isn't supposed to make them offline in the Files app…

Hey anonymous - sorry to jump in here, but I just wanted to mention that you won't be able to add borders to your text blocks at this time through Dropbox. You should be able to achieve that through a 3rd party or an app integration though. I hope this clears things up a tad and let us know if you have any more questions.

When you disabled your backups the app would have gone through the process of removing them from Dropbox only and ensuring that they're still on the device so interrupting this process and what you've done so far sounds like you deleted the files altogether.
