No worries! Please reply to my email, when you get the chance @"Max J.5".

Sorry to hear about this, @"layneheb". Let’s have a look. First off, have you already checked your Events page? Can you see more details there? Have you also looked at your Deleted files page, to see if you can restore them? Keep me posted.
-
Thanks for that! Appreciate it. I don’t see the small Dropbox icon in your menu bar indeed, so we’ll need to make sure the Dropbox app is running properly first. Can you open your Finder once again, go to your Applications folder, and double click on the Dropbox app there? Do you see a small Dropbox icon in your menu bar…
-
Hi from me too, @"BobF18". Do you see any active backups, if you go to this page perhaps? I'm trying to check if the 40% you see on your Dropbox account online are files being backed up from your computer.
-
Thanks for clarifying, Max. Can I log a ticket for you as well, and look into this further?
-
Thanks for posting on our forum today, @"DavidJV40". Have you checked if you’ve set up a brand new account indeed? If you click on your avatar (at the top right corner of your Dropbox Sign account), do you see the same email address as before? What steps did you follow exactly to reset your password? Keep me updated.
-
Sorry to hear about this, @"Gareth_Rees". Are you able to see all of your files, if you go on https://www.dropbox.com/home? What do you see if you go to your Events page? Let me know and we can have a look.
-
Sorry to hear this, @"Max J.5". Can you also share with me the current syncing status of your Dropbox app?
-
Welcome back to our forum, @"MrSuddenJoy". I wouldn’t say there are major differences between the two mobile apps. One of the few differences you may notice is that on the Android app, there’s also a hamburger menu on the left side of your screen, which doesn’t exist on the iOS app. From this icon, you can access the Paper…

Hi @"Paola024"! Hope you’re doing great. Do you have the Microsoft Excel app installed on your mobile device? If you do, you can open your Dropbox mobile app, find the Excel file you wish to edit, click on the 3 dots next to it and tap on “Open with”. This should open the Excel app on your phone, where you can make updates…

It’s my pleasure, Barbara! Glad I could help, even a little.
-
Glad to hear that, Judith! It’s hard to tell to be honest, especially since this isn’t always happening. If you try the suggestions above though, and the issue persists, feel free to let me know and we can investigate together.
-
Excellent! I appreciate the screen recording, @"MrSuddenJoy". I’ve removed your shared link from the forum to make sure it won’t get excess traffic (which may lead to banned links on your account). I could see though you’re referring to the Dropbox mobile app. When on the Dropbox website, can you try moving a file to your…

Are you seeing your previously backed up files locally on your hard drive now? Are they all local? If yes, and they’re the ones taking up most of your computer’s hard drive space, you can try moving them to your external drive, like you suggested above. Another option, if you’re not accessing all of your Dropbox folders…
-
Welcome back to our forum, @"johnweidner"! Out of curiosity, is this happening with all Paper docs or just one/a few of them? Have you tried reinstalling the Paper app on your iOS device? Let me know, and we can go from there.
-
Hey @"bbeck"! I’ve located your ticket in our system as well, and I can see your case is now being handled by our advanced team. I’ve left them one more internal note on your behalf with your posts here, so that they can see them.
-
Hi @"Ustym", thanks for posting on our forum. It’s not necessary that syncing more than 300k files locally on your desktop app will cause performance issues. However, this could be responsible for what’s happening on some of your devices. Can you attempt to remove any large folders you’re not frequently using from one of…
-
Hi again, @"jlfc", and sorry for nudging you. I was just wondering if you saw my latest post. Thanks!
-
Thanks for posting on our Community today, @"MrSuddenJoy"! Can you clarify where you see the “Move to Vault” option on your Android device? Are you seeing it for files that are already saved in your Dropbox mobile app or for files that are stored locally on your mobile device? I’d like to have a clear idea of your…
-
Glad you were able to sort this out; that’s a great workaround indeed! For anything else, feel free to give me a nudge.
-
I see. One more thing to clarify; you mentioned previously that this was working properly on your Finder, but not www.dropbox.com. This happened when testing this on your Mac web browser and not the mobile browsers on your iOS devices, correct? I’m having a look with our team to see if there’s something else we can try.…
-
I understand. In this case, I’m afraid it’s not possible to remove this completely at the moment. However, you should be able to change this from “Textbox1” to something else of your choice. I can most definitely pass your feedback about this though to our team.
-
Hi @"LEC1", and welcome to our forum. Do you mind clarifying what kind of updates you’d like them to make to that folder? Is the folder way over 2GB in size, or is there a small difference? Let me know, and we can go from there.
-
Would you like to move your local Dropbox folder to the external drive, or disable Dropbox Backup and move your currently backed up files to the drive instead? Just to make sure we’re on the same page and I provide you with the correct guidance.
-
Thanks for posting on our forum, @"amcoffice"! Hope you’re doing well. I’m glad to hear the desktop app’s running again on your computer. If you haven’t tried this yet though, I’d like you to open your app preferences and unselect - reselect the option to launch Dropbox upon your device’s startup. Do you encounter the same…
-
Hi @"Ben44", and thanks for posting this on our Community today. Can you send over a few more details on the update that led to this? Are you referring to the Dropbox Backup update perhaps? If yes, then this may be expected behavior, as described here. Keep me posted.
-
No problem at all! From what I can see, v374 is the latest one yet. However, v376 should also be out soon. When this happens, your Dropbox mobile device should be updated automatically. If you’re still having trouble with this even then though, let us know here.
-
@"VW2", as mentioned here, this should be implemented again with the v376 app version. You can double check the Dropbox app version you’re running by going to your Account tab > gear icon at the top right corner > scrolling down the page. Hope this helps!
-
Thanks for clarifying, @"SamC88"! One more thing I want to ask; do you wish to remove the text completely from the fields or modify it instead to something of your choice?
-
No problem at all! If you need something else, don’t hesitate to ping me.
