Hey @"b012b012bb". I'm afraid not even our support team can update the email address of that Dropbox account, as this would pose an account security concern. However, I've logged a ticket for you, so that we can check all other possible options. Please reply to my email, as soon as you see it.

Hey @"omglol"! In general, before confirming anything, we want to gather as many details as we can, so that we can provide the most accurate info possible. In this case, I wanted to make sure that you’re working on Dropbox in both cases and not Dropbox Sign. On Dropbox, you should be seeing your signature requests on both…

Thanks for posting on our Community, @"VG2024"! Can you send me a screenshot of what you see exactly, right after trying to share your folder with other users? If I get it right, you’re trying to share it with both members of the team and external users and the same thing happens. Correct? Keep me in the loop for any…
-
Hope you don’t mind me jump in, @"omglol"! Can you send me a screenshot of what you see on your mobile app versus what appears on your Dropbox account online? If there’s anything personal showing, make sure to mask it first.
-
Hey @"rsrunique"! Do you see those files, if you visit your Dropbox homepage here? If yes, you should be able to delete them this way (keep in mind that the shared links you sent will also stop working, if the files they link to are deleted from your account).
-
Thanks for all the screenshots, @"andr3i"! Can you test this via a different browser as well and let me know if the same issue still persists?
-
Hi @"Lindanew", hope it’s OK if I jump in. Is it possible you simply dragged the Documents folder within Dropbox on your computer? If you go to this page, do you see your Documents folder there?
-
Sorry to hear about this, @"GG35". Just to clarify, did the issue come back this time right after updating the OS of your computers, or was it already present when this happened? Can you clarify the current syncing status of your Dropbox app, as well?
-
Welcome aboard the Community, @"borii"! To make sure we’re on the same page, have you checked your Backup page online and none of your files are there? Let me know and we’ll take it from there.
-
Hi @"andr3i", and thanks for posting on our forum today. Can you send me a screenshot of any errors you’re getting now? Let me know when you’re ready.
-
Thanks for the screenshot, @"joonhwa"! Did you check my previous question about the Microsoft app you can use to edit your files?
-
Did you download the Microsoft Word app for editing documents? If not, can you give this a go and let me know if you still have an issue? Feel free to send me a screenshot, as well.
-
Hope you don’t mind if I chime in, @"BasicUser". If you don’t have more than 3 devices currently connected to your Dropbox account (you can double check this here), please try reinstalling the Dropbox app and let me know if it fixes the issue.
-
Hi from me, @"taha2"! Is the folder in question located within another one? Is it a shared folder that you’re having trouble with or a team folder? Feel free to send us a screenshot of what you see too, so that we can have a visual of what appears in your case.
-
Hey @"nikksaab"! To narrow down what steps you’ve already tried, did you also check your email’s spam folder and added no-reply@dropbox.com to your email contacts, before resending the code?
-
Hey @"Robert T.30", can you click on the Dropbox icon again and send me a screenshot of the window you see next? I’d like to have a visual and see what we can try from there.
-
Hey @"joonhwa"! What @"Mark" meant is that you can’t edit those files with the Dropbox mobile app. You’ll need to download the Microsoft app for Word on your phone instead and edit the files there. Your updates should sync to Dropbox normally.
-
@"marcelltab", I can see this was posted two days ago. Are those files still there? If yes, can you clarify the current syncing status of your Dropbox app?
-
Hope it’s OK if I chime in, @"Sumski1111". Are you still having the same issue? If yes, can you test this via another browser/incognito window and let me know what happens? Finally, what’s the total size of files you’re trying to download?
-
Thanks for posting this on our Community, @"cherylshep"! Are both these members part of your Family plan or do they have their own individual Dropbox accounts? Can you clarify what they see exactly when trying to edit the files you’ve shared with them? Are they also trying to edit them via www.dropbox.com or their desktop…
-
Thanks for posting on our Community, @"user500". Was the user, whose Dropbox account has been deleted, also the owner of the shared folder or just its member? Are you on a personal account or Dropbox team? Feel free to send me a screenshot of what you see too, while hiding the personal details that may be showing. Keep me…

When saying the file wasn't online, you mean on www.dropbox.com, correct? You could access your Dropbox account directly from your web account instead, but the desktop app should still be syncing files normally to the rest of your devices, no matter if they’re set as online-only or available offline (these settings are…
-
@"Carola11", since this is most likely related to OneDrive indeed, there’s not much guidance we can offer, I’m afraid. Only the Microsoft support would be able to do that.
-
Hi Kneth! Hope it’s OK if I jump in. Do you mean that you’d like to open the files on your desktop app and make sure they’re not made available offline even then? If yes, I’m afraid that’s not possible, as the Dropbox app needs to download the content of the file first for you to access it on your device. When you don’t…
-
@"yomaocorp", even if you downgrade your Dropbox account, this shouldn’t affect the files you’ve already uploaded. However, if this is the first time the ban has been applied to your Dropbox account, it should be lifted automatically after 24h have passed. If you still have issues after this timeframe, feel free to let us…
-
If you clicked on the globe icon of your desktop app, it means that you tried to upload these files via www.dropbox.com. Correct? If yes, I can suggest trying a different browser as a test (or an incognito window) to see if it’ll make any difference. If it doesn’t, you can try dropping that folder in the local Dropbox…
-
Glad to hear incognito worked! This means though that the issue is most likely browser-related. What we usually suggest, in cases like this, is to clear your browser’s cache/cookies and also make sure that it’s updated to the latest version. Other than that, you can restore your browser to its default settings and disable…
-
Thanks for clarifying that! When you have access to your device again, I’d also like to know the Dropbox folder location that you see under the Sync tab of your app preferences. Otherwise, we could risk deleting the wrong folder, which would also affect your Dropbox files online.

Welcome back to the forum, @"TimB2". Can you describe to me the exact steps you took to back up those files? Do you have external backup enabled on your Dropbox account or computer backup instead and you moved those files to one of your computer folders, that’s currently being backed up? What’s the size of the folder…
