Hi @"macyman" Simply put - you cannot. That isnt how Dropbox works. If you need read/write access to the files you need to also have enough quota. If you can do with read only access ask for a shared link instead.

Hi @"EtaiOphir" Which business plan are you on? Is it Dropbox standard with 16 licences? In terms of space deleting files can take up to 8 hours to release space. Make sure nobody has set up backups: www.dropbox.com/backups and also note that deleted files do not use quota, so, permanently deleting make no difference.

Have you installed the Dropbox software on your computer and see the icon on the status bar at the top? If so that is what I am on about

@"Munish " wrote:Hi, I am still facing the same problem even after applying the solution suggested, can you help me with it. Thanks! Have you tried in the applications themselves to move the storage location of where it expects to see files?

Hi @"acannon420" Such functionality doesnt exist I'm afraid. Sorry. You'll need to manually copy the folder in to your local Dropbox folder each time you want a backup.
-
Is this on a computer inside of the Dropbox directory? I'm afraid you cannot. No such function exists.
-
No it doesnt and wont say unlimited.

Your current quota is 3TB. If you need more it should auto increase as you get near the limit or you can message and ask for more when needed.

Hi @"Jasmine28" Yes, clicking that will alert the owner - although it will depend upon if they are logged in etc. They wont get an email but will get notifications on screen/mobile devices. There is no other way of getting data in a shared restored without rejoining it. Its also worth pointing out that the owner could have…

Hi @"leo227" Unfortunately there isnt anything you can do but contact support as suggested as this is an account issue. OR set up a totally new account with a new email so that there isnt a trial linked to it

@"HelloAliceismyname" wrote:Hi Jay, thanks for your reply. My company dropbox account is Professional for freelancers, and the one that I would like to have is the Plus for individuals. Unfortunately its not possible to have both on at the same time then. One account needs to be a paid business one (i.e. a multi sea…

Hi @"erin_villa" The reason you cannot accept the share is it must be just over 2gb. Shared folders use the quota of everybody involved so you need enough to access it. If it was 2.01gb you'd not have enough space and so wouldnt let you add it. One other thing to just check is that you havent added any backups:…

@"Kristy Crooks" wrote: If i had done that, Would it give me the option for another way to log in? @"Kristy Crooks" wrote: I can't, the email doesn't exist anymore. It would be easier if I could enter extra security questions to verify it's me, like entering a mobile or something. This is really frustrating. Other application's allow you to verify multiple ways, not limited to one way There were options to set that up…

Dropbox on a computer doesnt open your files - the computer does, so, something on your computer is capable of opening .msg files. For mobile devices Dropbox doesnt have this capability, however you should be able to download a viewer which will do it for you.

Hi @"Steffen K.5" I have both running on my machine here quite happily, however, you need to make sure they are both totally independent of each other. By that I mean not backing up / syncing the same thing or one inside of the other.

That message is direct from Windows rather than Dropbox. Have you tried authenticating it to see if it works? Stops asking?

I use both if I'm honest. I mainly use the 'input email and use via Dropbox systems' for shared folders people have edit access to OR when I dont need to add additional info. I use the copy link and send via my own email if i need to add extra info / steps or instructions. I wouldnt be too bothered about the first one…

Hi @"UpsetBlackberry" You cannot I'm afraid is the simple answer. This is because there is no link, at all, between you/the other person with shared links. If you want them to get updates they EITHER need to revisit the link or you need to set up a Shared Folder with them instead but being aware that means they could have…

How did you do this @"Tooley S." ? As Dropbox doesnt have a way of selecting images and then sharing the selection my guess is its a third party system you have used. Dropbox does not have any sort of 'album' set up.

When the ban was put in place did you get an email? If so you sometimes get an option in that email to remove it. If not and you are a free user you can pay to upgrade. If you are already paid then I'm afraid its a case of riding it out.
-
If its a shared folder you also need a 90gb quota available. Your clients space has NO impact upon YOUR space at all.
-
You have either been sent a file which is a Shared File and so added to your account that is over 2gb in size (i.e. the amount of space you have) OR you are trying to click on the link and add to account. You cannot use more space than available. Instead, ask the person to send a read only shared link 🙂

Dropbox wont alter prices I'm afraid - the price you see on the website is the price you pay. Dropbox have repeatedly said it is not the quota you are paying for but more the service and features.

He hasnt unlinked you. He's deleted you. Ask him to restore it and then unlink you, or, restore from your backups as that may be quicker.
