Apologies, I missed that - however, I believe its across the whole of the folder. So you should be able to change it at parent level

It isnt possible to set up options on Family Room: people have access to it and that's it I'm afraid Have a look at https://help.dropbox.com/share/share-files-family-plan#familyroom for info.

Folders always stay shared unless they are actively unshared - but, it is possible that somebody who has shared it previously has actually left the share without unsharing it. Hence you get the menu options you have. If you were owner you'd be allowed to unshare it, however, as you arent you can only remove from Dropbox -…

Unfortunately the recovery window for a family account is still 30 days: https://help.dropbox.com/delete-restore/missing-reappearing-corrupted-files As the files were deleted longer than 30 days ago they are not recoverable I'm afraid.

Have you tried a different browser? Clearing cache and cookies often also works That error is usually a localised one not one from Dropbox.
-
They just need to tap the X or click on the 'close (or exit)' texts to get past this screen. Then it will be downloadable.

@"JoshL1" wrote: I have tried what you have suggested, yet it does not help. You need to contact your bank again. And the only way to speak to support is on the links given. There is no phone support. If you've put in a ticket what was the number?

Your bank should be doing that for you - especially if you say the authorisation has been removed. However, via Dropbox the ONLY way to do this is at www.dropbox.com/support while not logged in if you are not a paying member yourself. An incognito window may be better.

Dropbox is syncing and indexing the files. If you dont want it to do that (note you may then end up with out of date files) you should just disable it from auto starting up.

Have you tried just turning off the 'Downloads' folder from the backups menu option? https://help.dropbox.com/organize/dropbox-backup-faq

You can try posting back here Monday office hours to see if one of the team picks it up 🙂 They may miss it now though as only work Mon through Fri
-
Is it a Team folder by any chance? If so the Team owner needs to remove you
-
You'll need to contact support via www.dropbox.com/support to get it resolved.
-
What is it saying @"Joe M.10" when you try and remove it?

I personally find that automatic offline doesnt work very well.... it certainly doesn't stay on here for my files (and again, like you, I have loads of space). So all I can suggest is manually doing it at the moment.
-
Have you got it set to Online Only? If so set it so that they arent and they should download as offline 🙂
-
Its just worth remembering that these are a rolling 24 hour window AND that Dropbox do, and have, changed how links work without warning before which can break things. My personal view on this is, dont use Dropbox. It isn't a hosting tool or platform and at some point it is going to stop working for you.

@"gyanarthi" wrote:Hi @"Nancy"... thats correct, I Use MPMU DEV snapsot plugin upload them both.. In terms of how the backup tool works that's something you will need to speak to the developer of the app for I'm afraid. Dropbox has no control over that.

@"mariposaccc" wrote:Is this possible? Do we need to buy more licenses even when they are using the same company space? Yes. Because each account needs its own space and quota. Shared folders do not benefit others. Dont just use the 1 account and share it with everybody, its against the T&C's and could cause the data to be…

How long ago did you log the ticket? What is the ticket numbers? And unfortunately as annoyed as you are threats wont get you anywhere. The issue has been going on for years because people have been doing this for years.... the number of files/viruses going out linked to Dropbox (and other providers) links is just…

What does www.dropbox.com/events show? Note as they are in a shared folder if the person who uploaded them has deleted and permanently deleted them they wont show on that link. Also, if they were deleted more than your revision window (or 6 months) they also wont appear.
-
@"ceedee" wrote:Is this even possible, or do I risk messing up all my data? Dont do it. The data will get corrupt. Dropbox (and any other cloud tool basically) isn't designed to use data files when something else is, so, as Mail has things being written and read from almost constantly it will cause issues. The other thing…

Hi @"Robert T.30" I actually dont think thats an ! its a notification (1). I had a similar issue on a mac that it just wouldn't go away. Its worth clicking on the bell icon though and seeing if anything is in that 🙂
-
As you can see the folders but not the files what does Dropbox say if you mouse over its icon on Computer A?
-
Do any files show as having the spinning sync'ing icon on them? It may help if you can take them out of Dropbox for a bit (say to desktop), let it sync to a tick and then put them back. If not try a full reinstall: www.dropbox.com/downloading
-
Have you looked at https://help.dropbox.com/account-access/one-time-code ?

So, it seems stuck at that. Have you tried restarting the computer?
