Dropbox works, and has always worked, with URL shortners - I frequently use Rebrandly. However, you need to make sure the shortner isnt trying to change the URL at all by appending data to it.

You need to contact your card company NOT Dropbox - as its your card which is compromised and as such they will use it for other things.

Often when using transfer tools to move between PC's it creates some of the Dropbox files not all which causes uses. Have a try of an Advanced Reinstall and see if that helps.

Have them check at http://www.dropbox.com/account/plan to see if they got the bonus space from you signing up? And if they can see the device (computer) at http://www.dropbox.com/account/security its worth noting as well that Surfaces or devices where you download from an App Store dont count, it has to be full client.

What does http://www.dropbox.com/referral_status show? Note that they need to have download and installed it to a desktop device. Mobiles do not count.
