It means there is an error Mouse over the Dropbox icon on the status bar (usually near the clock) to see what the error is
-
Yes they will literally roll everything back to how it was when at the point its asked for :)
-
You cant in that way I'm afraid, The only way the subtitles would display is if the file itself already had them encoded in to it. Also please remember you have limits on streaming depending upon your plan and how much will show as the website is designed as a preview only not a fully featured streaming service

You can do it in one go via https://www.dropbox.com/help/security/recover-deleted-files-folders However, if there are lots you may need to get support to do it (if its too many for you to do the recover options wont appear). You can log a ticket at www.dropbox.com/support and track at http://dropbox.zendesk.com
-
Can you post a screenshot as Dropbox doesnt have a deleted files folder so I'm a tad confused as to where you are.
-
Upload it using the desktop software: www.dropbox.com/downloading Its much more reliable than the website. It will try and download everything to your machine locally so instead of doing a standard install use the Advanced route and use Selective Sync
-
I'm am genuinely amazed (and disappointed in them actually) that you did. It defeats the whole premise of setting up 2FA if it can simply be disabled on a whim. This precedent has made Dropbox less safe :( That said I'm pleased you got your stuff back. I cant imagine how I'd feel to loose all of mine.

Is this to join a shared folder? If so she should be able to accept it via www.dropbox.com/share
-
What about the Advanced Uninstall part of this? https://www.dropbox.com/help/desktop-web/advanced-reinstall
-
That wasnt the comment I was referring to. I was referring to change logs.
-
From experience they wont change it either - plenty of posts on here over time about it. From team managers and supervisors galore. Fingers crossed you get somewhere but I strongly doubt it - you wont, however, get anywhere via here.
-
It wont change. In fact I dont think you'll get a reply. Jay has already said that its the final answer on the topic. Without what they are asking for the account is lost. Sadly its that simple. And if you dont manage to get a phone with the same number on it soon the account will be purged from Dropbox anyway after a year…

What is www.dropbox.com/events showing?
-
Your last post went in to a spam quarantine, sorry. I've unflagged it and put it back for you.
-
Five sounds extreme! Make sure you log it as a ticket :)
-
Sadly none of those suffice Joachora. The only way to get the account back is via the security mechanisms you put in place - the security codes or the phone number.
-
I can guarantee that even if you get to CEO level they wont let you access the account without the security you've set up - they've been exceptionally strict on this in the past. Supervisors wont (and cant) override what the security team have said. Without the systems you set up (i.e. the phone or security codes) that…
-
Oh thats rubbish :( Sorry I cant help anymore.
-
Can the cellphone provider not then allocate it to you? I know that here in the UK you can pretty much request a phone number be allocated to any SIM as long as it isnt allocated.
-
It is a crime. It doesn't stop people doing it though. Unfortunately though as has been said without the phone or the secure code the accounts none recoverable. Out of interest have you tried calling the number? If its live would the person maybe give you the number if you got one sent to them?
-
Unfortunately you told Dropbox to not give anybody access to your account unless they had the 2FA details (i.e. the codes you should save when setting it up) or the mobile number. Its only reasonable that they adhere to that instruction and not give anybody access who does not have it. Pictures etc. are easily forged and…

Deleted files do not use quota. As I said before what is the Share folder using? That space on the website IS correct. So if its still large you've a large file still hidden within your system somewhere.
-
Do they still appear at www.dropbox.com/home ? What is the 7.21gb quota used as - how much is in Shares?
-
How did you remove the files? It should be instant once they are not showing up at www.dropbox.com/home So, if you deleted them from a computer you need to give it time to sync to the green tick.
-
Only certain paying account levels have access to online chat. And within Business accounts only Team Admins do. If you are not an Admin you need to speak to them for assistance or log a ticket.
-
The issue is Mike as I have said - that information is NOT available if they are not within your own company. As I have said "there is no way of knowing who is accessing (or has accessed) those files. Thats because, they are just a 'web link' that anybody at all can access - there is no authentication or ID appended to the…

You cant do what you want I'm afraid because there is no way of knowing who is accessing (or has accessed) those files. Thats because, as I said, they are just a 'web link' that anybody at all can access - there is no authentication or ID appended to the links to know who is accessing what/when.
-
You can click on 'Type' and change to ascending and descending according to that there, but, this doesnt necessarily group according to file/folder (e.g. PDF is a type as is Word).
-
I dont think you can. Shared links are viewable by anybody, at all. There is no security authentication on them when people go to view them unless a password has been set (and even then anybody can use the password if they have it). https://www.dropbox.com/help/files-folders/view-only-access The following may also help:…

You can get them via the website don-peters: https://help.dropbox.com/files-folders/view-only-access
