Unfortunately this is correct. You cannot move to Family while on paid plans.
-
Were you a part of a Dropbox Team @"chuckbo" ? If so when they were disbanded an old quirk seems to have been identified and fixed in that bonus space for some doubled when a part of it.
-
Is Dropbox on the other devices running and have you given it time for them to update and sync the changes to the directories?
-
@"Matt1a" unshare and then delete those files out of your account, yes, you'll regain that space.
-
@"Matt1a" it says YOU have stored 7.09gb, but that screen shot also shows you have 0.5gb of space in shared folders which are using your quota - hence the error is correct. You are over quota. Shared folders use up the quota of everybody within the share.
-
Hi @"FLG" You need to let the account completely downgrade and 'stop' billing before then going to www.dropbox.com/plans and upgrading to a new one with your correct info.
-
The process is exactly the same, but, whats changed now is that Teams are not supported except in Business. So down grade and re-upgrade BUT be aware of things that are not supported - for example Teams or the granular sharing permissions Teams allow.
-
Hi @"SCBC treasurer" It depends, how are you opening the file? If you install Dropbox on your machine it will create a folder structure and you can open and access the files there and it'll auto save to others however you MUST MUST MUST make sure that nobody else has it open or editing it while you do or you'll get…
-
@"Estelleb26" tags are only available via the website.
-
@"kodemonkey" - Dropbox, sadly, are horrific at just closing tickets 😞 All I can suggest is (from experience) is open another which references the first one asking why it was closed and what is happening. But then again if @"clientreleases" happened to care about users and say what fixes were in place people could possibly…
-
@"Euergetes" if Dropbox isnt showing it in events then the rollbacks are irrelevant - the file has actually never existed on Dropbox. So the issue is why hasnt it saved on the device for those days.
-
Hi @"Euergetes" For whatever reason nothing has sync'd on Dropbox between those two dates (meaning Dropbox cannot recover anything). Was Dropbox running? It sounds to me like the Mac has had issues saving. What is www.dropbox.com/events showing?
-
I was just about to comment about how expensive that is!!
-
It backsup everything thats on my device, so, wont backup anything which is in the cloud - but for me thats fine (I still have the very very old PackRat add-on!). I dont think you'll find any service which can backup what you have on cloud but not device.
-
I run BackBlaze on my system which works really well 🙂
-
What does www.dropbox.com/account/plan say? That tells you how much you are using of your quota
-
At a guess they would tell you - they certainly tell people before they close accounts for inactivity.... however, whether you get/read/acknowledge is a diff matter!
-
@"evofoto" https://help.dropbox.com/teams-admins/team-member/free-teams-overview ?
-
So why is this a stable build? Why should people be upgrading to it @"clientreleases" ?
-
Still no change log @"clientreleases" ? 😞
-
So, there is a risk if you are over quota as while it hasnt happened previously the terms and conditions do state that they can delete files or accounts which are consistently over quota. I do suggest removing files from the account to reduce the quota. You can also look at notifications at www.dropbox.com/account
-
Without access to the email you cannot I'm afraid. So I suggest just downloading everything and starting a fresh with a new account 🙂
-
Dropbox isnt running on your machine by the look of it @"MikeHorn" www.dropbox.com/downloading to reinstall and see if that helps
-
Hi @"MikeHorn" Have you set up Smart Sync? https://help.dropbox.com/installs-integrations/sync-uploads/smart-sync
-
Unfortunately @"iuhaq72" if any versions were available it would have given you a choice to restore them on that screen. My guess is that you are a free user and as such its outside of the 30 day recovery window. Even now paying for an upgrade wont enable you to recover it.
-
That very much depends upon what settings your admin has set I'm afraid @"FourRivers" - some Teams are restricted from sharing and some are not
-
@"FourRivers" even though you sent it to a different email address that is almost immaterial in regards to what @"Rich" said above. If the person you sent it to opens the link on a device they, or you, are logged in on then you see it as though its your account. Dropbox knows and detects you are opening it on a device that…
-
@"clientreleases" hello? any hint as to these great improvements?
-
There have been emails getting sent out for about 10 or 12 weeks - however, as the email was wrong you probably didnt get them. But as I said as long as you have your password etc. you can log in now. No data is lost
-
Without access to the email there is no way to regain access to an account I'm afraid if you cannot remember the password etc. https://help.dropbox.com/teams-admins/team-member/free-teams-overview HOWEVER you should be able to still log in with the email and password as that info hasnt changed - all that has is the linking…
