Hey @, eperadam, could you let us know if you unlinked the desktop app from your account? What does the Security tab online show in regards to your connected devices?

Hi there @"Yvonne3", thanks for posting your question here. Currently, there's no option to edit an audio file on the website. However, you can have a look at this thread, where other users have expressed such an interest. There, you can upvote and comment alongside other like-minded users. Check it out and let me know if…

Hey @"bhoyt47", thanks for joining us on this thread. Could you clarify if you're having trouble manually moving the files out of your Vault folder? Do you get any error messages by any chance?
-
Could you let me know at which point in time you notice this behavior? Do you also find that the desktop app has a high CPU usage during this?
-
Thanks for letting me know, @"dropitoverthere", and thanks for joining us on this thread, @"redseb"! Could you confirm if you installed the desktop app with admin privileges?
-

Hi there @"Babe Mooney", I'd be more than happy to help look into this with you. Generally, if you think your account has been hacked, you can look through this article for some tips on how to proceed. However, I wanted to clarify that Canva is a service that allows students/professors to share content in one centralized…

Hi there @"dropitoverthere", thanks for reaching out to us about this. Could you send us a screenshot of what you're seeing? Have you noticed this happening at a specific point in time, for example, when you open files from your Dropbox folder? Let me know and we'll go from there, cheers!
-
Hi there @"PJChatman", thanks for reaching out and for taking the time to share your feedback with us. I just also wanted to mention that you can have a look at this thread, where other users also proposed the idea of a "select all" button for the deleted files page. Have a look and feel free to comment and upvote the…

No worries, @"codina"! Happy to have helped even a little bit. You know where to find us if anything else comes up in the future. I hope you have a great day ahead of you!
-
Glad to hear that, @"Smokey Bluntson"! If anything else comes up, just give us another shout. In the meantime, I hope you have a lovely week ahead!
-
Hey @"Smokey Bluntson", if you're getting the same error message, could you make sure that your browser's up to date?
-
Thanks for nudging us here, @Jenniferchristie. Could you clarify for us if you see the updated version in the mobile app and the website? Also, are both the MS Office and the Dropbox mobile apps up to date?
-
Hi there @"skro", thanks for reaching out to us and sorry for the late reply. Generally, when someone submits a file request, they should receive a notification to the email address that they entered. Could you ask them to see if the email notification went to their Spam folder? Let me know of any updates, thanks!
-
Hey @legoo1, I was able to find your ticket and have made sure to reply to you. Whenever you have a moment, check your inbox for my latest message. Cheers!

Just to make sure that we are on the same page, is the 'downloads' you're referring to a folder in your Dropbox account or your browser's Downloads location? If you could send me a screenshot of the error message, that would be super helpful.
-
Could you have a look at your events page to see if there's a recent record of these files?
-
If you unlinked the desktop app from your account, that Dropbox folder should be like any other folder on your computer that doesn't sync to the website. In this case, I'd recommend leaving it as is, or moving to another location, so that you can cross-check the files that get synced after you reinstall the desktop app.
-
Hey @"bbethel", could you send us a screenshot of the error message by any chance?
-
If you've also checked for any pending computer updates, could you send us a screenshot of the error message?
-
Hey @"Rikonthebarge", just to make sure that we're on the same page, are the folders also empty on the web?
-
Hey @"legoon1", could you make sure that your browser is up to date and you don't have any pending OS updates left?
-
Hey @"Timmusician", thanks for nudging us here and sorry to hear about your frustration. Since you mention that you uninstalled the desktop app and deleted the Dropbox folder, could you clarify if the folder you're seeing is a regular folder by any chance? It'd be super helpful if you could send us a screenshot of it.
-
Hey @"BY4", you can submit this as a feature you'd like to see in the future, here. There, users who share the same interest as you can comment on and upvote your idea. I know this isn't much, but I hope this helps to some extent!
-
Thanks for keeping me in the loop, and glad to hear that you were able to resolve your concern in the end! If anything else comes up, you know where to find us. In the meantime, I hope you have a wonderful day ahead!

Smart Sync is a space-saving feature for your hard drive. When you set files to be online-only, only specific information becomes available on your hard drive, like the name and type of the file. You can tell if an item is online-only by the syncing icon that it has, which should be grey with a white cloud in the middle of…

Hey @"S_e_hicks", thanks for nudging us here and sorry to hear about this. Do you see the files that you're looking for in your account when you navigate through the desktop app? If you don't have the desktop app installed anymore, do you see them via the web?
-
Hi there @"wilsuthers", let's see what we can do here. Could it be that the file in question is Smart Synced as online-only by any chance? Have a look and let me know what you find, thanks!
-
Hey @"David S.178", I just wanted to check back with you and see if you're still having trouble with this? If you are, could you click on or hover over the Dropbox icon that's on your system tray and let me know what it shows?
