Hi @"youngwalkerl", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Are you attempting to edit the PDF on the Dropbox site, or via the mobile app? Are you certain that you're signed into the correct account when attempting to edit the file? Could you attach a screenshot showing this message you're getting? This will help me to…

Hi @"smallmultiple", thanks for bringing this to our attention. It sounds like you might be experiencing this behavior on your Mac device, which is related to Logic files and package files (which appear as folders). Could you confirm what version of Mac OS you're running on your machine, and where the Dropbox folder is…

Hi @"LADTM", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Could you clarify what you're seeing in Finder? Is the Dropbox folder located in the CloudStorage folder? Do you see any deleted files on the Dropbox site? This will help me to assist further!

Thanks for the image, this appears to be the same one as the first one you posted. Regarding the issue, what happens if you manually mark those files as available offline, does the icon not change from white to green? Are you able to mark the entire Dropbox folder as available offline?
-
If you click the camera icon in the forum reply box, you should be able to attach a screenshot into your reply.
-
What type of files are the 'available' files? Are they files or folders specifically?
-
Hi @"marwan_zahran2004", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Could you try these steps to make your files available offline, which will turn the icon green and keep them on your machine? Keep me updated with any progress!

Hi @"AmyP2019", thanks for the information. I’d recommend getting in contact with our support team directly to look into this matter in more detail. You can do this by opening an incognito/private browsing window, while not signed into your account, and accessing this link. From there you should be able to contact…

Hi @"Sparky_McGuffin", thanks for providing these details. Currently, it isn't possible to perform a monthly backup in the way you're describing using the Dropbox service, as the files are synced continuously. There may be some third party apps or services that can link to Dropbox which may help with your requirements. If…

Hi @"Wilson6", could you attach a screenshot showing this page on your account?
-
Hi @"NMDenise", the Photos folder on the Start menu is like the Dropbox folder, so it can be accessed in File Explorer. You should be able to drag and drop the photos you want from within that folder into the Dropbox folder, and then they'll sync to the site.

Hi @"skillfusion", thanks for messaging the Community. In general, it wouldn't really be possible to prevent a user to only download the file, since the shared link is just a normal URL for the browser which anyone can access. Even if there was a method for them to download the file on its own, there wouldn't be anything…
-
Hi @"Brian Lamoreaux", the web link is basically a shortcut to a webpage you would like to access on the internet, like a bookmark in your browser, so that is the URL you would enter. However, it might not work as expected if you're trying to access your own folders on the Dropbox site.

Could you explain exactly what happens when you attempt to rename it? Do you get an error message, or anything to show that it can't be renamed? Is it for the same type of file? What if you move the duplicated file out of the Dropbox folder, are you able to rename it then?
-
So, you're not able to rename the new file, or any file at all?
-
Hi @"alex eben meyer", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Are you duplicating the files within the Dropbox folder, or via some other method? Are you able to duplicate the file on the Dropbox site and rename it from there? This will help me to assist further!

Thanks for the info, in order to look into this matter in more detail, would it be possible to reach out to the email associated with your forum profile?
-
Hi @"CarlsB", could you try forcing the file to render by changing the DL=0 to raw=1 in the shared link as mentioned in these steps?
-
This message isn't related to the quota amount on your account, but the daily limits when using shared links and file requests. It could also be related to the content you share. Is any of that possible from what you saw on the article?
-
If you haven't logged into the account for over 12 months, then it sounds like the account was deactivated due to inactivity. Due to this, it wouldn't be possible the account, or the files within. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful on this matter.

Hi @"dominic w.2", I understand your frustration over your missing files. The steps to use Dropbox Rewind can be found on this page, and it allows you to rollback entire folder, or your account, back to an earlier time.

If the program is fully closed, the file should sync to the site, and then to their devices any other users. Does that file not sync at all, even when InDesign is closed?
-
Hi @"ClaireVerbeek", thanks for bringing this to our attention. In general, it wouldn't be recommended to open any file, regardless of what program you're using, on two separate machines by two separate users, as it would lead to conflicted files when file is saved. Is it not possible to close the file on one side, then…

Hi @"rogocomposer", thanks for messaging the Community. Just for clarification, are you asking for a feature to mark specific file types as available offline, or online-only? Or, are you asking for online-only files to be treated as normal files by other programs on your computer? This will help me to assist further!
