Hi @"Ben P.1", just for clarification, do you have any proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router settings that could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains? Is this a personal machine or a company-managed device?

Hi @"danchez", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Were these files in a private Dropbox folder or a shared folder? This will help me to assist further!

Hi @"TBirdUK", thanks for bringing this to our attention. You can use the right-click command, or the Powershell command in this article, if that option isn't available in order to set the file to be ignored by the Dropbox desktop application. This will prevent the file from being detected by the app, and thus won't sync…

Hi @"Bobingabout", thanks for bringing this to our attention. If you attempt to paste the image into another app, does the image paste when using the second option, aside from your app and Discord? This will help me to assist further!

Thanks for the reply, I'll leave this thread open for other users to comment their suggestions on this matter.

If you are on one of these plans, you can sign in as one of the users on your Dropbox team, allowing you access to their personal folder. Currently, it isn't possible to convert a folder into a team folder, you'd need to create it manually and then move the files into the team folder.

Hi @"RyanScammell", thanks for contacting us. While it isn't possible to split your Dropbox folder across two separate drives or locations, there is a workaround using normal Dropbox features to do this. It could be possible to use a different computer profile on your machine and sign into the same Dropbox account. During…
-
Hi @"mpedroso", thanks for the details! Could you clarify what you mean by each staff member having a folder in your folder? If you're already in a Dropbox team, then there should be team folders already existing on your Dropbox account. Depending on your team structure, you might find it helpful to separate team folders…

Thanks for the info, your feedback regarding the access code for sending signature requests has been very valuable and we will endeavor to make sure that your voice is heard.
-
Thanks for the info, in order to look into this matter in more detail, I'd recommend contacting the support team directly for them to investigate further.
-
Hi @"financialplannersfirmla", we appreciate the feedback on this matter. As Dropbox Sign is separate to the Signatures feature on the Dropbox site, this would be the difference you're seeing. It would only be possible to use the access code on the Dropbox Sign page. We take all comments into consideration when improving…

What error are you getting when attempting mark files as available offline in your Dropbox folder?
-
If the events page shows only that number of files deleted, that the Dropbox site didn't have those files on the site. Is it possible that the files didn't sync to the Dropbox site originally?
-
Hi @"cachaito", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Do you see any of the missing files on the events page? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"hsaccount", thanks for posting today. We appreciate the feedback on this matter. Currently, there isn't a method to directly download the Dropbox account to an external drive without copying an existing Dropbox folder there, or manually moving it through the Dropbox desktop application. We take all comments into…

Hi @"wanderr", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Did you enable the Dropbox Backup feature at one point? Are you able to manually move that folder out of the Dropbox folder? This will help me to assist further!

Does the issue occur on any other text file on your Dropbox account, either if it's a different name, or if the file is in a different location?
-
Could you try testing it with a file in a private, unshared, subfolder to see if you get the same behavior? What is the name of the file, and does it occur on any file? Are you certain that this file isn't being accessed by any programs on your computer or any other apps or services that could be connected to Dropbox?
-
Are you able to update the Dropbox desktop application on the work computers? Are those machines managed by the IT team, and if so, would they be able to update the app for you?
-
If there are no events, then it would indicate that this is a new account, so there wouldn't be any record of an old account on the system, since it sounds like it was deleted, as it isn't possible to have two Dropbox account with the same email. Was your Dropbox account a personal plan, or part of a Dropbox team?
-
Does this occur when you edit a text file regardless of the location in your Dropbox account?
-
Just for clarification, was the text file open on the Dropbox site as well, or only on the mobile app while you were editing the file?
-
Apologies for the delay, if this feature isn't available for your Dropbox account, then you would need to use the Terminal command in order to ignore a file or folder. If you're already not seeing the option, then the feature wouldn't be available on any plan you could subscribe to.
-
Hi @"jagman653", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Are you able to see any files on the events page or deleted files page? When was the last time you logged into the Dropbox account prior to today? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"robyn4ryan", if you're not seeing the missing files on the deleted files page, then there's a few possibilities as to why this might be the case: * The files are on another Dropbox account under a different email address * They were on a shared folder you don't have access to any more * The files were deleted outside…

Hi @"Courtney945", thanks for bringing this to our attention. What device are you using when previewing PDF files? Are you able to set a default PDF previewer via your mobile OS? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"DHK", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Do you have any other apps or services that could be interfering with the Dropbox desktop application? Is this a personal machine or a company-managed device? This will help me to assist further!
-
This idea has been delivered! Find out more here. Thank you for your support!
-
If you edit the file on the phone, does it reflect the change on the Dropbox site? Do you see any changes on the events page?
-
Is this occurring when editing the file on either end, or just from one device to another?
