If you edit the file on the phone, does it reflect the change on the Dropbox site? Do you see any changes on the events page?
-
Is this occurring when editing the file on either end, or just from one device to another?
-
Hi @"PDub81", what type of files are you updating from the Android device, and which app are you using to update them?
-
Okay, I just want to make certain what you meant by selective sync. When you uncheck a folder in the preferences, it stops that folder from syncing to your computer entirely. Are you doing that, or are all your folders checked, and only one is unchecked?
-
Could you attach a screenshot showing the same folder structure on the Dropbox site? A screenshot of the selective sync settings on the MacBook would also be helpful. How many files do you have on your Dropbox account approximately? Would it be over 300,000 files?
-
Could you try copying and pasting the screenshot images directly into the post, instead of using a shared link?
-
Could you attach screenshots showing what you're seeing on the Dropbox site, and the two Dropbox folders in Finder on both devices, showing the location of a missing folder or file?
-
Hi @"StarDust1004", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Could you let me know what the current status of the Dropbox desktop application is on both computers? Are no updated files appearing on the Dropbox site as well? Have you tried reinstalling the Dropbox desktop application using this link on both machines? Keep…

Hi @"omgsys", thanks for bringing this to our attention. As the message stated, your Dropbox team was in locked state, and was then deleted on September 27th 2024. This means that all files, folders and users were deleted at that time. Unfortunately, it wouldn't be possible to recover the old account or any of the files…

Are you referring to the selective sync feature on the MacBook or your Mac? Could you try reinstalling the Dropbox desktop application using this link?
-
HI @"Kirola", you'd need to check this yourself by quitting all open apps and services on your machine, to ensure that nothing is attempting to make changes to any files in the Dropbox folder.
-
Hi @"Doug H.19", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Do you see any recent events or deleted files which would help to explain what you're experiencing currently? Do you have selective sync enabled for any of the missing folders? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"Marc S.7", thanks for the info. In order to look into this matter in more detail, I'd recommend contacting the support team directly for them to investigate further.
-
You can re-enable the updates in the services panel. If this doesn't work, you can try manually reinstalling the Dropbox desktop application using this link. Regarding the canary file, it's possible that it might appear again, as it is created by another program unrelated to Dropbox.
-
Thanks for the info, in order to look into this matter in more detail, would it be possible to reach out to the email associated with your forum profile?
-
Are you creating a normal shared link or folder on your account, or are you using the Dropbox API to create a shared link?
-
Hi @"Stutra", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Could you clarify exactly what error message you're getting, and if you received any email regarding this matter? Have you tried checking all your shared links on this page to ensure there aren't any that are in breach of the Terms of Service? This will help me to…

Hi @"adamford", thanks for messaging the Community. Could you clarify exactly what you're experiencing on your device? Are you not able to upload files from your computer to the Dropbox site directly, or when downloading files from the site to the computer? Is the Dropbox desktop application installed and instead files…

Hi @"Nathaniel C.", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Currently, there isn't a method using Dropbox to distinguish between different speakers during the transcription. I'll leave this post open for other users to comment with their suggestions.
-
Hi @"Jacklefamily23", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Are you able to use the Dropbox desktop application to have the file sync to your account online instead? Could you try switching browsers to see if this helps? Keep me updated with any progress.
-
If there are any security updates to the Dropbox desktop application, or new versions with new features, your app might no longer function correctly as it would be running an older version when compared to the live version. The negative consequences of this would be unknown, and entirely at your own risk.
-
Hi @"WokeDucks", in general, we don't recommend disabling any Dropbox services manually through the Windows Services panel, so we wouldn't be able to provide any info on this matter for you. I'll leave this thread open for other users to comment with their suggestions.
-
Thanks for the info, it sounds like the shared links are now functioning again from what you've described. Enjoy your week ahead!
-
Hi @"hamarb123", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Could you attach a screenshot showing this error message you're receiving when creating a new shared link on your account? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"cutpee", what steps have you taken to attempt to resolve this issue on your device?
-
Hi @"hejlightyear", thanks for the image. In order to look into this matter in more detail, I'd recommend contacting the support team directly for them to investigate further.
-
Hi @"JK_EGD", thanks for messaging the Community! We appreciate the feedback on this matter. We take all comments into consideration when improving the Dropbox site and services.

The article I previously linked states that the last saved versions of the file will always appear as the conflicted copy. As to whether or not you need the original file or the newer conflicted copy file, that would be up to you to determine which is required for your needs.
-
Hi @"Bluebicycle", do you have any users on File Provider already? Are you able to move their Dropbox folder to an external drive while on File Provider, and if so, what is the full location of the Dropbox folder after you move it?
-
Hi @"Laterjayter97", thanks for bringing this to our attention. In general, this could occur in these situations for files in the Dropbox folder. As this is related to files and mods in games, given that both mods and games update their own files when needed, it's possible the two conflicted and created this issue. If you…
