Hi @"janicetaylor", are you able to right right a file or folder in the Dropbox folder, to see if the Dropbox context menu items appear there?
-
Is the file in a folder which is specifically marked to be available offline manually from the Dropbox folder in Explorer? This overrides the setting in the Dropbox desktop application.
-
Thanks for the information. I’d recommend getting in contact with our support team directly to look into this matter in more detail. You can do this by opening an incognito/private browsing window, while not signed into any account, and accessing this link. From there you should be able to contact support. Make sure to…

Could you attach a screenshot showing the desktop app settings? Are you able to manually mark the file or folder as online-only?
-
If you're not seeing any payments on that page, then it means that this is a different account, as it contains an archive of all payments made to Dropbox. Could you try locating the account in question using the card lookup tool?
-
Are you certain that you're logged into the same account? Do you see any confirmed payments (with an invoice and receipt) on this page on your account?
-
Hi @"Rommel_bakefree", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Do you see any missing files on the events page or deleted files page? This will help me to assist further!

Hi @"klubasek", thanks for the info on this matter. I’d recommend getting in contact with our support team directly to look into this matter in more detail. Hi @"Keith R.", thanks for bringing this to our attention. What version of the Dropbox desktop application and OS are you running on both machines? Is this only occurring for specific files types, sizes or locations in the Dropbox folder? Regarding the online-only setting on computer B, did you set this from within the…

Hi @"gd1235", if your account is overquota, any edits or new files added into your Dropbox folder won't sync to your account online, meaning they won't sync to that other user via the shared folder. In order to sync files, you'll need to free up quota on your account, use referrals to earn quota, or upgrade your plan in…

Hi @"Dvan", just to inform you that the file size is still very small, only 280 KB out of a possible 12.8 GB of data, which does mean that most, if not all of your files, were online only. Is the email associated with the current Dropbox profile the same email as the one which was deleted previously?
-
Hi @"dpwct", thanks for posting today. If you're still able to backup your photos library onto Dropbox, which isn't possible on the recent updated version for Mac OS, then you could share a link to the file or folder. This way they can download the file to their machine. After that, it would depend on their local software…

Hi @"amzp", if you're uploading images to the same location, with the exact same name directly to the Dropbox site, then there shouldn't be any duplicates, since it would overwrite the original. Are you using the Dropbox desktop application instead, or another method of uploading files?
-
Hi @"Aahawk83", are you able to sync the default location of the Dropbox folder to see if it allows it to install and start up?
-
Hi @"jonbjoseph", thanks for the info. Are you able to use the Linux commands to exclude the folders you don't need from your Dropbox folder?
-
That's correct, the sync icons are affected by other cloud platforms which have their own sync icons. When those apps are no longer running, then the icons aren't active any more.
-
Hi @"L_", if OneDrive and Dropbox are running on your machine at the same time, the sync icons are affected. If you quit OneDrive or Dropbox do the icons change?
-
Hi @"stuartcalder", could you locate the Dropbox folder in Finder itself, and then right click it and choose the option to make the files local?
-
Hi @"Help2025", so just to confirm what you said, you didn't upload anything to Dropbox just now, since you were trying to upload files to iCloud instead, and you're asking to see if somehow Dropbox made a backup of your files? Do you see anything on Dropbox Backup on this page, if you enabled it previously? Do you see any…

Thanks for the update, this should help other users who are experiencing the same behavior on their iOS devices. Enjoy your week!
-
Hi @"growthcfo", are you able to change the default app for opening PDF files on your iOS device manually, as this was set by your device? You might need to do this from the iOS Files app, according to some brief research I've done.
-
Hi @"Service Client ", this might be related to how your laptop works, since function keys are specific to each device. You might be able to change this in the settings on your laptop somewhere.
-
HI @"Zheszpar", if you're not on a Dropbox Basic plan with more than 3 devices connected, could you try uninstalling the app, rebooting the device, and re-installing it to see if this helps? Do you have any proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router settings that could be restricting traffic to the…

Hi @"Cindybbbbbbb", thanks for bringing this to our attention. If your account was overquota as you said, this means that editing existing files or adding new files in your local Dropbox folder wouldn't sync to the site. Do you see any file changes on the events page? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"Primehen", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Could you try temporarily quitting the antivirus software to see if you're able to run the Dropbox desktop application? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"dropitlikeitshot1", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Does this occur for any other file in another folder used for Dropbox Backup when you attempt to delete it? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"programthink", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Could you clarify in more detail the exact layout of how you originally installed the Dropbox folder (as in, using drive letters or names) before and after this change occurred? Are you using the Dropbox Backup feature? Screenshots of the Dropbox folder and the…

Could you right click one of those files, and then 'Properties'? The 'Size on disk' would confirm if the file is 0 bytes.
-
When you join a Dropbox team, the team admin technically owns your account and all data within, so when they deleted the team, this would also delete your account. Could you clarify what you mean by the files being corrupted? Were the files originally online-only and they're only 0 bytes on your computer??
-
Hi @"Dvan", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Do you recall if the Dropbox team admin converted your account to a personal plan away from the team prior to the team being disbanded? Do you have any other devices that could contain your Dropbox folder on it, and haven't yet synced to the site? This will help me to…
