Hey @Francisco-Torres, thanks for the update! It looks like you're currently using the beta version of the app, which might give you some issues, since it's experimental. I'd like you to turn off the early releases option here and then simply reinstall the newest stable version of the app from this page. Let me know if…

Hey @JohnnyVegas, since we wouldn't be able to open the link for security reasons anyway, can you attach the screenshots themselves to your next reply? Thanks!
-
Hey @fossor, thanks for the additional info. Our team is aware of this and they're working to get it sorted in the next few days. As a temporary workaround, within grid view, you should be able to do this, by clicking the checkbox at the top left of each item.

Hey @guruuno, I appreciate the info you gave me. However, just to clarify, there are two ways of adding files from an external drive to Dropbox. You can either manually copy them into your Dropbox folder, to actually sync them to your account, which means that the files will also take up hard drive space in order to sync.…

We can actually only email you to the address associated with your Community profile, which can be found here. I can see that it's a different one; is the file missing from the account you're reaching out from or a different one, under the address you gave me above?

Hey @rh2284, thanks for posting your question to the Dropbox Community. I'm afraid that if the file was deleted more than 30 days ago, it cannot be recovered. If you'd like us to take a closer look, by providing specific info pertaining to this file, I can send you an email. Let me know.

Hey @TM2024, thanks for letting us know about this. Where are you seeing this issue? On dropbox.com? If so, have you tried accessing these files from a different browser or a private browsing window, to see if you get a different behavior?
-
Hey @DAC4, unfortunately, we can't access the link you sent us, for security reasons. Can you attach the actual screenshot to your next reply? Also, you mentioned that the shared folder still shows up in its location on dropbox.com and on the computers of other members; does the person who moved it, also see it in their…

Hey @guruuno, Walter is asking you some basic questions, so we can gather some info, in order to troubleshoot the issue accordingly. Keep in mind that you can back up the following types of external hard drives to Dropbox Backup: * On Windows: NTFS, exFAT, FAT32 * On Mac: HFS+, APFS, exFAT, FAT32 Is this the case for your…

That's great to hear, Augusto, I'm happy to see it was resolved! Not really sure why it did it this time, that's why we sometimes go back to steps we've already tried, but I'm glad to see it worked. If you come across this issue again, let us know!

Thanks for this info, @jpglutting, it's really interesting indeed. Does refreshing Finder, by force quitting and re-launching it, help at all?
-
Have you checked if this is happening with links from other apps/services besides Dropbox, Adrian?
-
Hey @jpglutting, can you make sure that Dropbox has full disk access? It might help in this case as well.
-
Does the file open as normal for the owner, when they try to preview it in their Dropbox, @CarlsB?
-
Hey @FungusSausage, unfortunately, for security reasons, we can't access the link you gave us. Is it possible to attach a series of screenshots in your next reply, showing the process and what you see?
-
Hey @Adrian L.5, have you tried copying the link and pasting it to WhatsApp, to see if the thumbnail appears, like the user mentioned above?
-
Hey Augusto, just wanted to confirm; if you move these files somewhere outside the Dropbox folder and then move them back in, do they still give you this issue?
-
Hey @iMorpheus, welcome to our Community. I'm afraid that there's no way to archive a file in Dropbox; you can only delete it, if you don't it to show up in your account. I would suggest taking a look at Emma's tips here and then post your idea on our Idea board, for other users to up-vote. That way, if your idea gets…

Hey @Babonbd, thanks for posting your question today. If you've just deleted some files and you'd like to restore them, you can do so from your deleted files page here. Here's an article with a visual of the process as well. I hope this helps and if you have any questions, let me know.
-
Hmm, how large is the file you're trying to access? Also, can you confirm with the owner that it's still in its location in Dropbox and hasn't been deleted?
-
Thanks for trying, @skarl. I just sent you an email, so we can investigate further. Make sure to get back to me when you have a chance. Cheers!
-
Thanks, @ChristopherBell, for keeping us updated. Your feedback is also taken into consideration and your comments have been passed along to our team. If you need anything else, let us know!
-
Hey @AugustoGoico, thanks for the screenshot. Have you restarted your computer at all, like Megan suggested? If that doesn't work, try these steps here to fix your hardlinks and permissions and let us know how it goes.
-
Hi there, @snook55, thanks for reaching out to us. I just tested this on my end and it works fine for me. Which browser are you using? Have you tried a different one, to see if that helps? Keep me posted.

Hey @dreampainter, thanks for posting to the Dropbox Community. Can you go to this page, and let me know if you have any issues accessing your files?
-
Hi there, @CarlsB, and thanks for reaching out to us. Have you tried opening the link from a different browser or a private browsing window? Let me know what you find.

Hey @petemes, thanks for posting today! Let's see if these steps help: * Go to the Dropbox support page * Click on the vertical ellipsis button at the top right corner in Chrome * Click on "Settings" * Click on "Privacy and security" * Click on "Third party cookies" * Click on "Allow third party cookies" Let me know how it…

Thanks, @shaneh. Would you mind checking this article with some steps to help fix syncing issues, and let me know if they help?
-
Hey @Charlie Windsor, currently it's not possible to include another user in the email chain; is it okay if we reach out to you, on the address associated with your Dropbox Community profile?
-
Hey @Rukir, have you tried using cut+paste instead of dragging and dropping the folder?
