While we're at it, can you clarify your device's OS version and the version of the Dropbox desktop app installed there as well? You can find the version if you hover your mouse over the Dropbox icon in your system tray/menu bar.

Hey @"arbur" - sorry to hear about this. Have you tried rebooting your computer and unplugging and re-plugging the external drive since you first noticed this? Let us know and we'll take it from there.

What does your plan tab show in regards to your quota breakdown @"vwagner" ? Also, how large are the shared folders you kept?

Shared folders take up space on your account @"vwagner" Have you tried removing your access from them to see if your space is freed up then?
