Could you try updating your device's OS if that's not a problem @"TriciaTea"? You can also try reinstalling the app using the latest version from this page directly. If you have any antivirus, firewall or VPN/proxy running on your computer, you can temporarily disable them as well.
-
Could you maybe share your ticket ID so that we can look it up in our system @"TriciaTea"? While at it, could you clarify your computer's exact OS version and the version and status of the desktop app as shown in your system tray at the moment?
-
Hey @"TriciaTea", sorry to jump in here, but if you're still having issues with this after rebooting your computer, could you share some additional information so that we can assist further?
-
Thanks for your feedback on this @"AlexSzatmary" - let me know if you have anything else to add.
-
Hey @"AlexSzatmary", sorry to hear about this. I just wanted to mention that periods should not be used in file names as they could result in errors or they won't be synced at all. For more information, you can have a look here. I hope this helps a tad.
-
Hey @"KennyFlaming", sorry to jump in, but I just wanted to point out that this is your Dropbox folder on the website, not on your computer. If the desktop app is running normally on your device, then you should be able to see your Dropbox folder in Finder. We'd need a screenshot from there to further look into the issue…

Hey @"Susan D.11", sorry to jump in, but could you check if top level editing is enabled for the team since you're an admin of the team?
-
In that case, could it be that your team's admin has disabled top level editing? Let us know when you get the chance, Lance.
-
Hey @"batmacgyver", thanks for your feedback on this. It's been noted in our system. Please let us know if you have anything else to add.
-
Hi @"Rezzak", sorry to jump in here, but I just wanted to mention that this would be the best move here, since you don't have access to the email address that's connected to the original account and no way to regain access too. Just make sure to download all of your files from the account first. Let us know if you need…
-
Hi there anonymous, sorry to hear about this. Could you send us a screenshot of where you're spotting Dropbox in your file or folder paths so that we can have a visual too? Also, did you enabled the Dropbox Backup feature at some point in the past perhaps?
-
HI there @"farrtalk " - sorry to hear you're having issues with this. May we reach out via email to have a further look internally? Thanks! PS: Please avoid posting personal information on the Community in the future, to better align with the Community's Guidelines.
-
Hey @"DonOctave", sorry to hear you're having issues with this. From what I gather you must be referring to online only files - correct? If that's so, you can mark files or folders to be available offline as outlined here. Let me know if that helps, Don.
-
Hey @"lmp628", sorry to jump in here, but I just wanted to mention that if you don't see the Dropbox icon in your menu bar/system tray then the desktop app is probably not running on your computer. In that case, you can relaunch it from your Apps folder. Let us know of any updates!
-
Hi @"PitchCascadia ", since your query seems to echo the OP here, I merged your post under this thread. Feel free to have a look and let us know if you have any follow up questions.
-
Hey @"schmidjd", sorry to jump in here and thanks for your patience while we looked into this internally. We checked back with the team and confirmed that there's a limit to the items that can be shown in the left sidebar which is 250 items at the moment, but we're planning to make adjustments in the near future. For now,…
-
If you made sure that the Backup is disabled now, you should be safe to uninstall the desktop app if you like as outlined here. Let us know if you have any other questions @"tomikobako"
-
Hey @"JennJD10", sorry to jump in here, but I just wanted to mention that sharing an account's credentials is against our Terms of Service as @"Mark" mentioned too. Have you considered using a shared folder instead? Also, when you say that you have a Dropbox Business account, could you clarify which plan exactly?
-
You could try clicking on the search result and once you're inside the folder, the file path should be shown on the top of your screen under the search bar. Let me know if you need any further assistance, Ashley.
-
Hey @"mddc", thanks for using Dropbox and posting on our Community! If you'd like to find the owner of a shared folder, you can have a look here. As for transferring its ownership, you'd need to follow these steps. If you'd like to remove it from your account to avoid having it take up quota, you can follow these steps. In…

Thanks for keeping us in the loop on this @"DeadlyEspresso" Can you try signing out of your account through the app's preferences and try to delete the folder again?
-
Hey @"jlmoore314", sorry to jump in here, but I was wondering; is it possible that you were using another Dropbox account of yours (associated with a different email address) when the option disappeared?
-
Hey there @"igudwhi", thanks for flagging this with us. Can you please let us know if this persists after clearing your browser's cache or on an incognito window with no plugins or extensions running? Any additional information or screenshots you can share are more than welcome!
-
Hey there @"Michael C.15", thanks for posting on our Community! With the new version of the desktop app, displaying Dropbox in the Finder toolbar isn’t supported - Apple no longer allows you to add Dropbox when customizing the Finder toolbar - the context menus are not handled by this extension though. You can read more…
-
Hi there @"NEWBIEONE", thanks for using Dropbox and welcome to our Community. Can you confirm that you're following these steps and that you're looking in the app's preferences? Thanks!
-
I assume that you've already tried rebooting your computer as well @"mobin68" - correct? Do you happen to be running any antivirus or another 3rd party app that's monitoring your files?
-
No worries @"chrisryanphotog" - just let me know if anything comes up!
-
Hey there @"mobin68" - sorry to hear you're having issues with this. Can you please let us know your computer's exact OS version and the version and status of the desktop app as shown in your system tray? Also, how many files does your Dropbox folder contain approximately?
-
Hey @"bluehenve" - sorry to jump in here, but would manually uploading the file via the website or the (+) button within the mobile app work better for you perhaps? Also, not sure if this would help, but you could try setting a naming convention to see if that makes a difference. In any case, keep us posted!

It seems that this folder might be nested in another folder @"wazzuchick" Could you navigate the folder itself from your search and check its whole file-path from there? In that way, you should be able to tell its exact location as well.
