Thanks for posting on our forum about this, @"Jayson L."! From your description, I believe you’ve installed the Dropbox for Windows update, that’s also further explained here. Seeing a new column with the sync icons is an expected change indeed following the update. As for your files not syncing locally anymore, I’d like…

Hey @"kennygs". I’d also like to know the Dropbox app's syncing status and app version you see on your end. Besides that, are there any third-party apps that are accessing the files in your Dropbox folder? Have you rebooted your device in the meantime and the issue persists?
-
@"eltrompetero", besides the file count currently syncing on your device, are there any third-party apps at all that could be interfering with Dropbox? Can you also clarify your app’s current syncing status for me?
-
Hey @"eltrompetero". If all of these files are syncing locally on your Dropbox app, it’s still possible that this could be the reason why you’re having this issue. In general, syncing more than 300k files locally may cause performance issues from time to time and it’s suggested to remove any excess folders you don't access…
-
Hey @"sargan", let me jump in here, too. What you mention is correct; anyone who has access to your shared link will be able to view the contents of the parent folder and any subfolder or file it contains.
-
Thanks for clarifying! When creating a shared link to a folder with multiple files, then Dropbox will use the same shared link as the one generated for the parent folder, but it’ll also add the file’s name to it. In other words, if you open a file to preview, its URL will be the shared link of the parent folder combined…

I’m sorry to hear about this, @"MsRR". After having a look into our system, I can see you already have an open ticket about this, which was logged by my colleague Jay. He’ll have a look into your request and further assist via email. I’ve also left him an internal note for you. Let me know if you need something else in the…
-
Apologies for asking again, but did you try to reset your password as well and you still couldn’t sign in to the account? What do you see exactly, if you do this? We'll go from there.
-
Hi @"Peejay51"! Welcome to the Community. I understand that your folders appear unchecked under your selective sync settings, correct? Can you send me a screenshot of what you see there? Besides that, I’d like a screenshot of the same folders as they appear within your local Dropbox folder now. Did you take any actions on…
-
Thanks for posting on our Community today, @"robmarsh"! Although I’m not familiar with how Wix works, I’ll be more than happy to assist with any Dropbox-related questions. Regarding point 1, I'm afraid that there's no direct way to export the file structure of your Dropbox account. It's great to hear that you may have…
-
Thanks for clarifying that, Frank. Are you absolutely sure there’s no typo when inserting your email address or password? What I’d suggest as the next step, as a test, is to reset your Dropbox password and tell me if you can log in then.
-
Thanks for the screenshots, Frank! If you’re not on a free Basic account with more than 3 devices currently linked to it, can you reinstall the Dropbox mobile app and let me know if you still receive the same error after that?
-
Thanks for posting on our forum about this, @"Frank Doebbelin". To look into this further, can you send me a screenshot of what you see when trying to sign in to your Dropbox account, before and after entering the code? If there’s your email address showing, please make sure to mask it first. Give me a nudge, when you’re…
-
Thanks for posting here, @"pixel666". Can you send me a few more full screenshots of your Dropbox backup settings? Also, which directory are these hidden folders normally saved in on your computer? Let me know more details and we’ll check this further.
-
Hey @"Diane V.2"! You don’t need to do anything on your old computer. The only thing you have to do is go here on your new computer and install the desktop app to your device. After you’ve signed in, it’ll create a new Dropbox folder, which will sync your files to your new computer.
-
Sorry to hear you’ve having the same issue, @"house12". When saying you did a clean reinstall, do you mean an advanced reinstall perhaps? Can you clarify the Dropbox app version you’re running on your computer?
-
@"jkdotmv", can you clarify the syncing status and app version of your Dropbox app at the moment? If you open the files that you edited recently via File Explorer > your local Dropbox folder, do you see your latest edits?
-
Yes, please. Before trying that though, can you also test one more thing with me (if you haven’t done this already)? Can you create a shared link to one of your files instead, send it via iMessage, and tell me if there’s an issue then, as well?
-
Hi @"Fourcuz"! Sorry to hear about this. From your post, I understand that you’ve already checked your spam folder, correct? If you haven’t tried this already, I’d also like you to add no-reply@dropbox.com to your email contacts and resend the code. Finally, what you can do as a workaround is to reset the password of your…
-
Thanks for posting here, @"jkdotmv". To look into this further, we’ll need to know a few more details. For example, which platform/device did you use to edit those files initially? Were you able to see your updates on www.dropbox.com after that? Are you missing updates from the same platform/device where you originally…
-
Hey @"DavidJ1"! Have you tried reinstalling Xmind on your device? To clarify, are you seeing all of your files normally, if you open the Dropbox mobile app? What’s its current app version on your iPad?
-
Hope it’s OK if I jump in too, @"bachtenor". What I want you to try next is to open your local Dropbox folder and see if there are any files that are currently trying to sync in there. Feel free to also send me a screenshot of what you’re seeing.
-
Hi from me too, @"hw213nw"! It sounds then that this has something to do with iMessage specifically. Is it possible to reinstall the app on your device? Do you see any difference after that?
-
Hi from me too, @"khalidnikon"! Can you try something else for me? What I want you to do is right-click on your local Dropbox folder, select “Get info” and send me a screenshot of the next window you’ll see.
-
Hi @"Ino4"! Thanks for your post here. To have a clearer image of what may have happened, can you clarify how exactly you migrated those files over to your new Mac computer? I’d also like a screenshot of how they appear when you open your local Dropbox folder there. Let me know when you’re ready, and I’ll have a closer…
-
Hey @Glop, hope you don’t mind if I jump in. At the time, it’s only possible to do this via the web/mobile app, as Hannah mentioned above. Whether or not this is something that’ll return to the desktop app as an option in the future, I’m afraid we can’t provide much info on.
-
Thanks for posting about this here, @"CFGtech"! Do you happen to use Dropbox Badge, by any chance? Other than that, can you let me know what’s the syncing status and app version of your Dropbox app at the moment? Feel free to ping me, when you’ve got more info.
-
Thanks for posting here on our Community, @"DenRad"! Your feedback is truly appreciated and I’ve passed all of your comments to our team, as well. If you need something else, I’ll be around the forum.
-
Hey @"Blud", can you send me a screenshot of what you see exactly? We’ll go from there.
-
Hey @"ImgnPixel", sorry for jumping in. To make sure I got it right, this folder isn’t saved within another shared folder, correct? Are you still unable to see the “Unshare” button even on another browser?
