Thanks for the screenshot! I‘d like you to ’click on the “Go to notification settings” option and disable the notifications for your desktop app. After that, please restart your computer and re-enable them. Does that make a difference?

@"macnutz", after you’ve managed to log into your old Dropbox account, you’d need to update the email address indeed to make sure this doesn’t happen again. As for your ticket, can you tell me where you’re having difficulty exactly? Did you open another browser where you’re not logged into any Dropbox account to submit it?
-
Just to clarify, if you check your menu bar again, close to your clock settings, there’s no Dropbox icon there? What if you open your Finder > Applications folder, and relaunch the Dropbox app?
-
That’s interesting. The files within .tmp.driveupload, do they also have the blue rotating icon next to them? The reason why I asked you about other cloud services before is because Dropbox doesn’t normally have a green syncing icon with an underlined checkmark, so I’m wondering if it’s Google Drive that's trying to sync…

Thanks for the additional info and the screenshot! I had a look into our system, and was able to locate your latest ticket, which seems to have been escalated to our specialized team. Since we don't have any account visibility on the forum, I’d suggest continuing with them directly. However, to make sure our team looks…

No problem at all!
-
Even in this case, you can start typing, right after clicking on the “All events” option, and you should see the search results change according to what you’ve typed. I know it can be a bit confusing, as there’s no text field indeed.
-
Thanks for posting this here, @"macnutz"! From what I understand, you’re referring to this one-time security code. If you’re still signed into your Dropbox account on the mobile app, can you please check your notifications? It’s possible you’ll be able to find your one-time code there. Otherwise, you’ll need to log a…

I’m just asking because if you enter the email address of the recipient, then you’re basically sharing the folder with her Dropbox account, which will require her to sign in by default. Can you please test this with a different folder that’s not shared with anyone and click on the “Create and copy link” option without…

Sorry to hear about this, @"jupiterfarmer". First off, I’d like you to send me your ticket number here and I’ll check it for you. Other than that, which computer folders are you trying to back up exactly? I'd also like a screenshot of the plan you see on this page. Keep me posted for any updates.
-
@"CMM27", if you go back to your Events page and click on the “All events” dropdown menu (on the right side of your screen), you can type in “paper” and select the relevant deletion events, so that you can restore your Paper docs without scrolling all the way down the list. Let me know if that helps at all.

Alright, let’s check one more thing; if you go to your Shared tab here, are you seeing this folder in the list, along with an option to re-add it to your Dropbox account?
-
Hi @"Bill_Richards"! Out of curiosity, are you using any other cloud services/apps on your computer that could be interfering with Dropbox?
-
Welcome aboard the Community, @"JW19"! Hope you’re doing great. When opening the folder settings to create the shared link, are you also inserting the user’s email address or simply clicking on the “Create - Copy link” option? If you open an incognito window on your browser instead, and check this link, are you also being…

Thanks for the ticket number, @"aakash13". Due to the nature of the issue, I'd suggest waiting for our support team's reply. However, I've left an internal note for them, in order to get back to you as soon as possible.
-
Thanks for clarifying, @"arrysaa"! Can you perhaps send a screenshot of the unknown process you mention?
-
Hi @"aakash13"! Thanks for posting on our Community today. Can you please share your ticket number with me, so that I can check it, as well? Let me know when you’re ready.
-
Hi from me as well, @"dbForumUser"! Just to clarify, does this message pop up every time you access your computer, or was it a one-time thing?
-
Hey @"GratefulUser"! I believe Megan’s referring to her post here.
-
That’s great to hear, @"JoeWood"! Don’t hesitate to ping me, if you need something else.
-
Welcome back to our forum, @"JoeWood", and I’m sorry to hear about this. When was the last time you saw those files on www.dropbox.com? Did you check both your Deleted files and Events page and there’s no sign of your missing content? Is it possible your files are saved on a different Dropbox account (under another email…
-
Hi @"arrysaa"! Hope you’re doing well. Can you please clarify what steps you’ve followed exactly? Feel free to link the Community post you’ve checked, as well. Was an advanced reinstall among the steps you’ve followed, too? Let me know.
-
That’s true, indeed. When a folder gets deleted, then the shared link stops working, as well. Is it possible you have a second folder under the same name on your Dropbox account and the link’s connected to it instead?
-
Not really, unfortunately. However, since you previously saw a message that the file had been successfully uploaded, I believe that everything’s alright. Besides checking your email’s spam folder, I’d also suggest adding no-reply@dropbox.com to your email contacts, in order to make sure the address is whitelisted. Other…

Hi again, Denise! Just to clarify, are you seeing the same error if you test this via different browsers on your daughter’s computer? It may be worth checking this via an incognito window on her default browser, as well. You can do this by clicking on the 3 dots that should be showing on the top right corner of the browser…
-
Welcome to the Community, @"znelson32"! Just to clarify, did you delete this folder with its contents via www.dropbox.com and it can now be found in your Deleted files page, but the shared link still works nonetheless? Also, the shared link that you originally created, was it with edit or view-only permissions? Let me…
-
Thanks for clarifying that! If you were just uploading a file to someone else’s file request and you saw a message that the upload was successful, then you should be all set. Did you check your email’s spam folder as well, and there’s no confirmation there? Is it possible you entered a different email address instead, if…
-
@"Harris T Rajan ", can you describe the steps you took to share your file? Generally, to share a Dropbox file/folder with someone else, you need to be signed in to your Dropbox account. If you opened a file request, you can see more details about it here.
-
Hey @"Shane S.7"! Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Feel free to check Jay’s post here, in case you haven’t already. From what you mention though, this looks like a legit Dropbox email, as it's been sent from one of our official domains. If you still have security concerns after that, or if you’ve received more…

Thanks for the updates, Federico! Have you already reached out to our support team by any chance? If yes, please send me your ticket number here. Otherwise, I can open a ticket for you to check this further.
