Hi @"BBrier78" Simply put here if you want the same files in both iCloud and Dropbox you cannot I'm afraid. It will cause corruptions and data loss. You need to use one or the other.
-
Do you know how big it should be? Is it giving any errors etc.?
-
Hi @"romwel54" Simply put dont use Dropbox. Dropbox isnt a website hosting tool, it isnt designed or intended to do this. Dropbox have done lots in the past to STOP people using the system to host sites etc. and I suspect that is happening here.
-
You need to mouse over the Dropbox icon on status bar - i.e. near clock @"JMS58" wrote:Also, I am now seeing file directories, but not actual files in the sub-directories or directly under the Dropbox folder. Hmmm. Thats expected. Dropbox creates directories first and then populates based on size order smallest to largest…
-
Have you given it enough time? It takes time to download - what is it saying when you mouse over the icon on status bar?
-
You cant do this with Dropbox itself, you'd need a third party program to download all of the data and copy it to Dropbox.
-
The situation is addressed in the documentation - if you loose access to the email you will probably loose access to the account. Chat is available on the paid plans, but, times will vary depending upon where you area. You can see that at www.dropbox.com/support
-
Hi @"Walt347" You can remove old devices via https://www.dropbox.com/account/security 🙂
-
Do you mean so that they sort by name regardless of file type (e.g. file or folder?) If so I'm afraid that isnt possible.
-
I suspect Dropbox cannot see/aware that iCloud already is backing them up, but, it is why its failing.
-
If you are logged in, at all, to the Dropbox services, it will detect your plan. So if you are a free user it wont let you log a ticket. If you are a paid user, and logged in as a paid user, you'll get the options to contact support 🙂
-
You need to contact support via www.dropbox.com/support. However, they may not be able to help as without email access you cannot prove ownership. Make sure you do so while not logged in (including here) so often an incognito window works best. https://help.dropbox.com/account-access/lost-email-access

Hi @"oklahoma9" Simply put you cannot do this. It wont work and will lead to data loss. If the directory is in iCloud you cannot sync to Dropbox. If its in Dropbox you cannot sync to iCloud.
-
You can contact support at www.dropbox.com/support, but, they'll say the same thing. Replies will take a few days and they arent open weekends. Dropbox do not have the capability to recover things which it has permanently removed - imagine the legal issues if they did from people who wanted to remove files etc. from…
-
As the website says its permanently removed its not recoverable. Dropbox keeps files for 30 days, but, not the passwords that have been reset. Unfortunately as you reset it you've lost everything.
-
Hi @"Dragonretard" You cant merge accounts I'm afraid. You'll need to use shared folders to move the data beween them and log in to the account you want to keep on all devices: https://help.dropbox.com/account-settings/merge-two-accounts
-
How do you mean you reset it @"omar153" ? If you told Dropbox to do a reset they are permanently deleted and not recoverable: https://help.dropbox.com/installs/dropbox-passwords-faq#How-do-I-reset-my-Dropbox-Passwords-account
-
That was a possible answer to it.... Dropbox isnt updating systems where people have them Dropbox on an external drive.
-
On my machine here I simply right click the directory and choose 'copy dropbox link'. If you just click on 'Share Link' on the website it seems to now auto add on editing rights. Try clicking on the three ...'s next to the folder/file name, then Share with Dropbox and use that to create a view only one if its via website
-
Hi @"bwanna" Dropbox does sync files, but, only ones that reside within the \Dropbox directory. It wont work if it isnt.
-
Have you checked to see how many devices are registered at https://www.dropbox.com/account/security ? If you are a free user you are only allowed 3
-
Dropbox isnt on an external drive is it? https://help.dropbox.com/installs/dropbox-for-macos-support
-
What version of Dropbox and what version of iOS is the iPhone using?
-
Are both running same version of Dropbox? www.dropbox.com/downloading
-
If you dont see them online either try going to www.dropbox.com/share and see if you can rejoin
-
Have you done a search of the Mac via Finder?
-
Have you given them edit access? For that it has to be a shared folder
-
Ohhh I've not seen grey folders before..... do they have data in them? My guess is they had some sort of security authorisation on them within the Business Account and you are no longer authorised to view them from this new account. Were they originally Team folders by any chance? I suspect you may need to go back to the…
-
Hi @"Abodhaby1" Dropbox is as safe and secure as you make it. If you share the files via links then it becomes in the public domain and anybody can access. Dropbox also does not allow illegal materials and storing/sharing/using such could result in accounts being terminated and reported to local Authorities.

How do you mean 'hidden' ? What is happening?
