Hi @"Korky K." It sounds like the shortcut links arent quite working. You should be using it via the sidebar menu options. The 'apps' folder is not really intended to be interacted with as it is used to keep programs that are running things within Dropbox. So, you probably need to use Obsidian to move its database to…

Is it a particularly large or complex PDF?
-
What OS version / Dropbox version etc. you using?
-
Within that folder (LocalAppData)
-
Have you checked what the text file says?
-
Hi @"kevinjones" Sounds like the database is corrupt. Can you try an advanced reinstall?
-
No there isnt. Dropbox is fully working as normal. If it isnt for you we need more info - mouse over the Dropbox icon on your status bar and tell us what it says.
-
@"Rpesmf3" Did you upload them to Dropbox? If so they will be on Dropbox however on mobile devices they do not sync back to photos. You'd need to manually resave them back to the device. They should be in the Camera Uploads folder on Dropbox

Hi @"Korky K." On the iMac when you have installed Dropbox if you go to the website at www.dropbox.com/home can you see the files or not?
-
Dropbox doesnt have such capabilities I am afraid @"Adel sting"

Its not usually possible to recover files if an account was deleted. Do you happen to have a device which had Dropbox on that maybe hasnt sync'd the account closure? Or, could you look and search on a device for them?
-
Wow. There is no need to be so rude. Its highly possible somebody has just tapped the wrong info in same as occasionally happens with emails.

@"bbzebra" wrote:Thank you Megan. If the user share the link and you can view and download, will you be allowed to add to the folder? No. Shared links are one way download only. If you need to then share back you either need a shared folder (which uses quota) or you can ask them for a Requests link which allows you to…

Hi @"vwagner" Is Dropbox running on your local machine if that is how you are emptying the folders? If so what does it say if you mouse over its icon on the status bar

@"NB141" wrote: @"Rich" Thanks One thing just to be aware of is that if thinks like the card expire (expiration date/change of card number/3 digit CVC2 number etc.) you may need to update via the website. If it doesnt get updated payment MAY fail which could cause Dropbox to downgrade you and so your account get removed…

@"Aymen Mrabti" wrote: What is the guarantee then on your site to sign a contract?? What are the benefits and how can I earn my rights? I assume you mean Dropbox Sign? If so that is just a platform to manage the signatures. It has no control over the actual contract etc. That is down to you and your own due diligence with…

Ah, to view previous version you need to restore. That is the only way to check who uploaded it. The other possibility is that its in a share and they are locked so only shared folder owner can permanently delete them. However they will purge after 30 days.
-
What happens if you click on that photo and look at the Previous Version history? Who was the initial person who uploaded it?
-
Dropbox doesnt do that as a product or service I'm afraid. So you cannot get support here for that, you need to speak to the people you signed the agreement with.

@"Redhotpaddy" wrote:Cheers, yea but it was working fine up to a few days ago. It's strange. Not Dropbox stopped working with Excel? No, Dropbox does still work with Excel.

What was the contract for? What services did you buy?

You are using Backup as I said: www.dropbox.com/backups is using on the main account. The shared files at FD will appear at www.dropbox.com/share As that says you dont have space as you have used it all up. And as its still trying to upload, from your earlier images, what will happen is as soon as you delete say 1gb of…
-
That is helpful, thanks! What is www.dropbox.com/account/plan showing in terms of space? What about www.dropbox.com/backups Also are you on a trial or a paid plan?
-
Have you checked the links sent? Dropbox were at one point very sneaky at setting it up. And no, deleted files do not use quota. So basically one of those things above is using your space - everything at www.dropbox.com/home and www.dropbox.com/backups uses quota. Nothing else.
-
You need to remove a device from your account as it says. It is very likely your phone is now linked twice. You do that via https://www.dropbox.com/account/security under devices.
-
Have you checked www.dropbox.com/backups to see if you have files there? What about www.dropbox.com/share ? Also post what is showing at www.dropbox.com/account/plan in terms of the bar chart of space used.

@"nitinsirsat" wrote:Dear Mark, What will be next? I am sure that I logged in before 1 year. If an account has been deleted for inactivity it hasnt been accessed in a year - or accessed after Dropbox sent the multiple emails (over 3 months) saying it would be deleted. In that case the data isnt recoverable. If you log in…
