What is www.dropbox.com/events showing? Referral space is only removed if there is reason to do so - i.e. abuse etc.

Have you tried restoring to yesterday's versions? https://help.dropbox.com/delete-restore/recover-older-versions What about opening Excels from another Dropbox account or that is say emailed in to a person instead?

@"eakkus" wrote:Hey @"BenDBX" & @"Jay" Is there any changes / developments regarding the issue? Knowing Dropbox they wont release any information until its ready to go and or happened - if they ever decide to do it.... of which of course there is no requirement to do so - this is the first time I've ever seen anything like…

@"zoeij" wrote:1) Is v1.1.35 hopelessly outdated and should I just give up? 2) Do you have any suggestions about how to transfer these files off of my old machine? Wowser, yes it is!! We are currently on 204.4.5420 and versions much before that are blocked from accessing the cloud sync tools. From a practical point of view…

Hi @"JennyDy" Yes that is right. You can rename and even move shared folders around your account at will without impacting other people. The only thing to make sure you DONT do is put them inside of each other. So I have all of my shares in a (very originally named!) folder called 'Shares' where I name them something…

@"JennyDy" wrote:The name of the foder is Nya kommunen u.b. - could the problem be with the naming, that it won't accept the two full stop punctuation marks in the folder name? Thank you so much for any help. Best regards Jenny That is exactly it 🙂 Rename the folder (dont worry it wont change for others) and it should sync…

@"shahaf" wrote:I Do know that my dropbox is full, is that related? Almost certainly, yes. If Dropbox is full it wont sync updates/changes or new files added to the directory. So, those files with an X on it will be ones you've added to your machine BUT have not been uploaded to Dropbox because there is no space. Same for…

Hi @"TC55" You need to ask that the company remove you note they must not delete you. Then you will be removed and downgraded back to a free account at which point you can re-upgrade. The only people who can do that though are the business themselves.

Unfortunately you can only have one or the other - iCloud or Dropbox on a folder. So, if you want Dropbox to do it you need to download them all locally first and disable iCloud.
-
It is very unlikley you will be able to access the account without access to either a device (mobile possibly?) with Dropbox installed already OR the email. https://help.dropbox.com/account-access/lost-email-access You will need to log a ticket with Dropbox while not logged in - even to here so try an incognito browser and…

@"Cain57" wrote:Any way to make the link setting behave like the email setting? I'd like to know who opened our links. Simply put, no. Because Dropbox doesnt know who has the link - you could have given it to 1 person or 1,000.

Sorry to hear of your loss @"MotherOfTheGroom" How long ago did she pass? The reason I ask is that whole accounts are wiped after 12 months of inactivity meaning if nobody was logging on in that time the data would be wiped which is irreversible.
-
No issues as such - and dont seem to have seen any reported on here. Out of interest are all your files/folders on internal drives and within the \Dropbox folder? i.e. no symlinks or junctions being used?
-
There is no email submission available. If the site isnt submitting try a different browser or make sure that all add ons are disabled and clear cache and cookies etc.
-
They should get am email with notification if its a link, however, many many ISP's block Dropbox emails unfortunately. You are much better off copying the link and pasting in to your own email - that way you also have proof of sending should it ever be needed.

If there is not showing any version history available at all on the file it hasnt been edited in over 30 days on Dropbox. Is it possible you moved it / renamed it / relocated it? Dropbox sometimes doesnt link moves together easily. Have you checked www.dropbox.com/events to see when it was last edited?
-
I wouldnt delete it, but, you should be OK to empty it 🙂
-
I am also on a Mac and find the sorting infuriating as well - how it can sort different across all different folders! There is a way of resetting all and starting it again from a Terminal command. And thank you 🙂
-
Hi @"pwerlin" Sorting of files/folders etc. is not a Dropbox issue - its one from Apple and on the operating system. It is OSx which sorts and organises everything you 'see' on the screen. I suggest speaking to Apple for assistance. Or if you are a bit more confident…

@"nidhiloveschocolate" wrote:so should i consider the pop up fake or the laptop is not fresh? Thats only something you can decide. The popup could have been malware from a bad website. @"RagusLive" wrote:If this is explicitly not possible that is fine, I just wasn't able to find any conclusive information about this specific question/use case. Thank you. It isnt possible, no, sorry. However, a potential workaround is to watch www.dropbox.com/events as this will show when the upload is complete for you 🙂

@"DavidAt" wrote:Surely i don't need extra space when none of the information will be held on my account? Yes you do. There space does not benefit you at all. So as I said the other people who can access it have more quota available - it could even be a few hundred MB which is making the difference.

Either on the Photo button OR the 'drag and drop' bit below:

At the moment its just a case of dont update to the new one within the Dropbox menus, and I assume, not upgrading the Apple OS. There isnt actually anything to resolve, unfortunately, the new set up is by design and working as intended. At least until Apple changes things it wont be changing back.

Can you post a screenshot of what you are seeing and trying?

Hi @"Brucemcintyre22 " Just to check is it this page you are following https://help.dropbox.com/view-edit/add-a-watermark ?

The offer is only valid if you use a preinstalled Dropbox client. If one isnt installed your device is not eligible. Downloading from the website will null and void any offer. You'd need to revert back to factory default settings IF it was available preinstalled.
