That sounds like you have downloaded the Keynote on to a Windows machine and its trying to open it but not able to. Mac files are viewed as a folder on Windows devices in a lot of cases. Have you checked that your versions of PowerPoint is capable of opening the Keynote file (i.e. version is up to date etc.)

If you have installed on a computer it should open in whatever apps are on your computer as long as you have them available (e.g. if you open the Dropbox folder and double click an Excel file it will open in Excel on the machine as long as its installed). The settings you already have - i.e. access to the shared folder is…

Can you leave it via www.dropbox.com/share ?
-
If you dont want sharing conflicts you all need to be in same shared folder with same read write access.
-
Yes. Or the other common issue is that people dont open via Excel on a computer from Dropbox directly on their computer but rather download it, open it, edit and upload it
-
Dropbox will auto add it to the account you are signed in to. The only workaround I can think on this one is to copy the link to an incognito window while logged in to the personal account you wish to use.
-
Have you checked Chrome is at a recent version? It may need an update if its a new PC - same for Windows.
-
You cant I'm afraid. Microsoft doesnt allow this - as its embedded into the program itself. You can manually work on files inside of Dropbox and hit save on them frequently to save to Dropbox (how I do it), however.
-
Thats almost certainly an issue at their side. Dropbox produces a preview of files to watch online, however, its important to point out Dropbox is not a hosting tool - its not designed or intended for this and will almost certainly fail at some point.
-
If you open the file inside of the Dropbox folder and INSIDE of the share while online you should be able to work on it together IF you have the right account type: https://help.dropbox.com/view-edit/edit-microsoft-office-documents

If you used Dropbox Camera Uploads tool this is the folder they are automatically uploaded to - either from connecting a camera, mobile or external USB etc. It isnt possible to specify what folder Camera Uploads use.

Deleted files do not use your quota. So, if you are out of space something else is using it. Your quota consists of everything you see at www.dropbox.com/home and www.dropbox.com/backups
-
If they are deleted you can just ignore them as they dont use quota. However, to permanently delete them the only way to do that is as it says, via the owner who uploaded initially.

Hi @"Korky K." It sounds like the shortcut links arent quite working. You should be using it via the sidebar menu options. The 'apps' folder is not really intended to be interacted with as it is used to keep programs that are running things within Dropbox. So, you probably need to use Obsidian to move its database to…

Is it a particularly large or complex PDF?
-
What OS version / Dropbox version etc. you using?
-
Within that folder (LocalAppData)
-
Have you checked what the text file says?
-
Hi @"kevinjones" Sounds like the database is corrupt. Can you try an advanced reinstall?
-
No there isnt. Dropbox is fully working as normal. If it isnt for you we need more info - mouse over the Dropbox icon on your status bar and tell us what it says.
-
@"Rpesmf3" Did you upload them to Dropbox? If so they will be on Dropbox however on mobile devices they do not sync back to photos. You'd need to manually resave them back to the device. They should be in the Camera Uploads folder on Dropbox
-
Hi @"Korky K." On the iMac when you have installed Dropbox if you go to the website at www.dropbox.com/home can you see the files or not?
-
Dropbox doesnt have such capabilities I am afraid @"Adel sting"

Its not usually possible to recover files if an account was deleted. Do you happen to have a device which had Dropbox on that maybe hasnt sync'd the account closure? Or, could you look and search on a device for them?
-
Wow. There is no need to be so rude. Its highly possible somebody has just tapped the wrong info in same as occasionally happens with emails.

@"bbzebra" wrote:Thank you Megan. If the user share the link and you can view and download, will you be allowed to add to the folder? No. Shared links are one way download only. If you need to then share back you either need a shared folder (which uses quota) or you can ask them for a Requests link which allows you to…

Hi @"vwagner" Is Dropbox running on your local machine if that is how you are emptying the folders? If so what does it say if you mouse over its icon on the status bar
