Seems Dropbox is having a service issue. Please see https://www.dropboxforum.com/t5/Error-messages/error-500/m-p/192873#M10151 for updates (to try and keep everything in one place).

Looks like a technical issue. Please keep trying or check back later. UPDATE: Dropbox is aware of the issuse. For official updates please see https://status.dropbox.com/

It doesnt, not as such. Rich's post remains the same. If you upload via the website then you cannot close that page. If you upload via the desktop icon on your computer you can as you are moving the files to your local hard drive first. As I assume you are NOT moving to your local hard drive and using the website option…

The only two places (and ways to share) are shared folders (www.dropbox.com/share) or shared links (www.dropbox.com/links). So everything you share from your account will be at one of those two places. Shared FOLDERS require a person to have a Dropbox account (regardless if you share read only or not) and use up quota on…
-
If you mean shared links then have a look at www.dropbox.com/links - this shows everything you share from your account as a downloadable link.

What does Dropbox say if you mouse over its icon on your status bar?
-
You are emailed and warned it will happen a few weeks before it does and again about a week before JO. You are also told when joining it is a subscription and auto renewal.
-
Do you have any junctions in your Dropbox folders?
-
You need to configure user accounts on your computer so you each have to log in when you start up your machine. Once you've done that you than simply reinstall Dropbox on each user account and log them in to the account needed.
-
No, sorry Kuruno. I believe that the name is set based upon your language preferences within Dropbox and once its set it cannot be changed.

It was being abused too much.
-
If you are after large volumes of downloads of data you may find Dropbox does not work - it has limits on shared links but I'm not sure if this includes via the API. I'm moving this to the API forum to see if they have any official line :)

The web interface is the same regardless of Operating System. Can you post a screen shot of what you are seeing?
-
That is something that is either controlled by the computer you use or mobile device you use. If you are talking about on the website then no, it isnt possible. Sorry.
-
Barry - same as Mark please post your screen shot.
-
If you have a shared folder inside your Dropbox then it uses up your quota. Therefore if you need access to it you need to get more space either via referrals, or, paying.
-
If there are a lot, maybe dropbox can reconsider this for pro users... As with the XP changes they will have already factored this in. Sorry
-
Nobody here can answer that I'm afraid Rich - we are all users like you
-
why not issue a warning to bad actors and then disable it for those that don't comply and let legitimate users continue to use this feature Because people can set up infinite accounts in seconds - quicker than they can be removed.
-
No I'm afraid not. The T&C's do not allow for refunds I'm afraid. This is why you are emailed prior to renewal to warn you.
-
Dropbox do not release roadmaps I'm afraid. You won't get a live person unless you are a Business user. All you can do is post an email to www.dropbox.com/support
-
... ?
-
I'd suggest googling for how to do the trace route and then posting it to support - this is a user supported forum, nobody here can help I'm afraid.
