It isnt though - the website is correct. As I said, as soon as you go over your quota it will NOT sync those changes to your computer. So, your computer Dropbox is out of data - that one is wrong. Something has been added to your Dropbox via a device/shared folder which has put you over your limit. This this stops the…

What does Dropbox say if you mouse over its icon on the status bar? If it says over quota SOMETHING has happened on one device or another to stop it from downloading those updates to the machine you are on now. www.dropbox.com/events may show whats been added www.dropbox.com/share is still where I suspect the issue is.

For Public folders to still work you needed to be a paying user at the time free users lost access to it (15th March). It is not retro active. Note as well this ONLY applied to links made inside 'Public' - no other changes happened.
-
Have you done what was asked and logged a ticket?
-
Member of any shared folders? As soon as you go over quota syncing stops - so the larger new files wont have sync'd to your machine hence the discrepancy

Yes you can. Find the photo via Dropbox Click on it till its opened Click on the three ...'s in the top right corner Click on Export Click on 'Save Image'

@"norbyscook12" the biggest issue here is you are using Dropbox for something its simply not intended to do - as a backup tool. It isnt one. Its a syncing tool. You can stop folders syncing locally using www.dropbox.com/help/175, however, unless you are a Business Customer they will not appear locally any more. And the…

You need to download the files individually to the Camera Roll and then to the Photo Stream - there isnt an automated way I'm afraid.

You cant. The Public folder has been depreciated for free users now: https://www.dropbox.com/help/16
-
Please see what Rich said, or, the link I posted with work arounds. If those do not work Kasimir then I'm afraid there is no work around. Note that Dropbox simply isnt a hosting tool and so shouldnt be expected to work as one.
-
Dropbox have sent multiple mailshots out about this hypnocoach - if you've not got them I suggest checking junk/spam folders and also that your email is correct at www.dropbox.com/account
-
Have a look at https://milanaryal.com/hosting-images-with-dropbox-on-your-website/ - however, please note that it is NOT guaranteed that it will work, Dropbox are removing lots of access to hosting images on third party sites.

You cant cancel referrals that have been sent out. Note that they will simply sit on your account until the maximum limit for referrals has been reached. That limit is 32 (32 referrals at 500mb each). It doesnt matter if they are the first 10 you sent or the last 10. You will get referral space once they install on a…

The issue is, I'm afraid local to your machine then Frank - as I use Chrome and it works fine. Checked you are on the latest version? Made sure you have no ad-blockers etc. installed? Cleared cache and cookies?
-
Something is wrong with the browser then..... have you tried a different one? Maybe try incognito mode. Its a left click right next to the file name (same as you'd press for two files). Also, remember though as I said you can preview the files and open that way. If highlighting one isnt working to get a download could you…
-
Frank. You can. The option is there and has never been removed - in fact its been made clearer. On the website click the white space next to the file name so it highlights (as you would do to select multiple file) and then on the right hand side a big Download button appears. Or, as I said above, if you are in a preview of…

Dropbox states it will start slowing down with over 100,000 files (I think!) and anything over that starts affecting performance. As you have lots and lots on Dropbox you may wish to consider using Selective Sync to take off folders you dont use often (https://help.dropbox.com/syncing-uploads/selective-sync-overview). This…

About how many files do you have on your machine quitclaim? A fix COULD BE to unlink and relink Dropbox - to see if your database is corrupt on the machine.
-
@"techs2017" if somebody has your password then installing Dropbox is the least of your worries. Super Users are not employees but the answer is the official one - this isnt a security flaw. Its by design. When somebody adds Dropbox to their computer you receive an email telling you this has happened, unless you've…

Sounds like CleanMyMac has updated some sort of metadata within the files (e.g. last opened/edited etc.) which need updating (Dropbox only sees the changes not what changed). Also, as an aside, it wont upload everything again - it'll only upload the hashed changes.
-
It will still be called Public, however, all links within it will cease to work.
-
You need to download what will look like the folder from the area you saved them in (InDesign is actually a package of files saved which Macs turn in to a file - everybody else sees it as lots of files though). When you download this file you may need to rename the .zip to whatever extension InDesign has.
-
You may want to try on a computer rather than an iPad Julie then.

I suggest logging a ticket then via http://bit.ly/cm-support and ask for help. Replies will take time, especially if you are a free user but, you can track at http://dropbox.zendesk.com I also suggest including screen shots if you can - especially of the error messages.
-
You've not actually answered the rest of the question though. Are you using the most up to date versions of Dropbox? That error is usually if its out of date
-
And you get a reset password and that doesnt work when you use it on the iPad? Have you checked then you are using the most up to date version of Dropbox?
-
Have you done whats been suggested and tried a reset? www.dropbox.com/forgot
