No, sorry, that solution is the only way. Dropbox does not store outgoing emails, plus, the links could have been shared in other ways, say, via a direct email. The only way to stop anybody having access to a link is to cancel it and create a new one.
-
Hi @"DanM1959" If the other person is not a member they are accessing just read only shared links where are the same for every person who has access to them. You'll need to cancel the link at www.dropbox.com/links and make new ones for the people who should have access instead.

Your account is now owned and operated by the company - which you agreed to when selecting Yes I'm afraid. The way to resolve it is to ask the company to remove you from the Team.... note not DELETE they need to remove you.
-
@"1546974" - as does Dropbox, You get emails to your registered emails many, many weeks before renewal. I get at least three or four of them to say its happening.
-
Hi @"sboudreau1" That will only appear on a brand new install or one where the software is not linked to a Dropbox account - so if you are simply reinstalling the software for say an update to the software/to fix a software issue it wont because it will auto link to what you have.
-
Hi @"Xeri" You havent got your original subscription via an App store have you?
-
The only thing you can do is to get the company to reset your account, or, set up a new account and move all data over to it.
-
Unfortunately nobody can answer this until it happens 😞 Usually, however, we are given notice of such changes so you can make appropriate plans.
-
Hi @"Janet B.5" Unfortunately if you have no space to initially sync you are quite possibly stuck - they need to be local first before they can become smart sync'd
-
Without access to the email address its almost certain you wont be able to change it. I'm afraid the work around is to set up a new account
-
Not natively with Dropbox, no, but you could try writing a program via the API for you? https://www.dropbox.com/developers
-
You need to send a message to ask for support and if it is possible for a refund - they are only given where legally required (as you clicked OK you accepted the payment and those terms): https://help.dropbox.com/accounts-billing/payments-billing/refund
-
Hi @"rondachristie" You seem a tad confused.... Selective Sync removes the directories completely from the machine where as smart sync leaves the on the machine but with 0 bytes used. They cannot be combined - a file/directory is EITHER Smart Sync'd or Selective Sync'd.
-
I've merged both posts together or things get complicated Based on your first post Dropbox isnt running, or, doesnt have overlays etc. set up Try a reinstall: www.dropbox.com/downloading
-
That icon isnt anything to do with Dropbox @"ned666" its a windows one: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/what-do-the-onedrive-icons-mean-11143026-8000-44f8-aaa9-67c985aa49b3?ui=en-us&rs=en-us&ad=us#ID0EBH=Windows You'll not see the SmartSync menus etc. if you are not on a paid plan as they are account type…

Do you currently pay via an App Store? If so you need to upgrade via there
-
They are tied to a user, yes. So if a user leaves the system (i.e. deletes account etc.) the links are also removed as well.
-
Do you have enough hard drive space? Are you sure the error isnt from your computer? Dropbox wont be saying it cannot sync if you have space according to the website. Can you post a screenshot?
-
Do you have enough quota to do that? www.dropbox.com/account/plan ?
-
How are they downloading it? All this option does is remove the download buttons etc. It does not mean there is no way, at all, to download it.
-
Oh dear. Unfortunately the ONLY logs that are stored are at www.dropbox.com/events and the tabs at www.dropbox.com/account where it shows devices logged in. No other data is retained or available.
-
@"gcnd" unfortunately then there is no way to recover the account
-
You will need to use a Dropbox requests link at www.dropbox.com/requests HOWEVER people wont be able to see what is already there - its one or the other I'm afraid. The shared link you gave out only allows viewing and for people to upload to it you'd need to know their name and email address for them to set up an account
-
@"Rick_A" this is where changelogs would help @"clientreleases" .....
-
What does www.dropbox.com/home show in terms of files? Is that the same as on your machine? What about www.dropbox.com/account/plan ? That is the quota that matters
-
Refunds are only given where legally required. All info about what to do and if you can get one is at https://help.dropbox.com/accounts-billing/payments-billing/refund
-
The brown logo isnt a Dropbox one. My guess is you've enabled the Briefcase function in Windows: https://www.techmesto.com/how-to-enable-briefcase-feature-in-windows-10 This is not supported in Dropbox and Dropbox can only sync/use/work with files that are in its own directory. So to use them you need to move the files…
-
Hi @"CoastalClover" As long as you have everything stored locally on your device (i.e. nothing SmartSync'd and nothing in Selective Sync etc.) you should be able to do this easily. For safety what I'd suggest is: * Set up a new account with an email you've access to * Log out of Dropbox on the…

Are you using the most recent version from www.dropbox.com/downloading ?
-
Thats an error with the coding from SurvivalCraft2 I'm afraid - make sure you are using the most recent versions and if you are contact them for assistance.
