Hi @"zevjk1", let's see what we can do here. Out of curiosity, does the Dropbox folder come up as an option under File Locations when you go to the Preference menu in Microsoft Word? Also, are you running the latest version of the desktop app? You can check this by hovering of the Dropbox icon on your menu bar. Let me know…

Hey @"Benjo1216", thanks for dropping by! Although there isn't currently an option to set when a file or folder becomes local again, you can suggest it, here. There, like-minded users can comment and upvote your idea. I hope this helps, but let me know if you have any other questions in the meantime.

Hi @"Trillman88", let's see what we can find. You mention that you click on the three dots to open the file. Does the file not preview when you click on it directly? A screenshot of the error message would also be very helpful. Thanks!

Hey @"stuyguy", thanks for dropping by. Currently, you can connect one personal account to a work account, but not more than that. Linking two accounts also won't affect your files. Out of curiosity, would you like to be able to connect all your accounts, so that you can access them from the website or your desktop app?…

No worries, @"raphaelp". That's what we're here for after all. If anything else comes up in the future, don't hesitate to give us another nudge. In the meantime, I hope you have a lovely day ahead!

If you only need to view the content, you can ask the owner to send you a shared link to it, instead. As for the folder, do you see it in your Share tab with the option to add it by any chance?

Thanks for letting me know, @"Righ". I tested this out from my end, and I'm able to share content using the desktop app. Could you check if the issue persists for you as well? If it is, let me know the desktop app's version by hovering over the Dropbox icon that's next to your computer's clock.

Hi there @"sanandan sudhir", thanks for joining us on this discussion. Could it be that there's a third party app on your computer that's interacting with the Dropbox desktop app? You can check this by having a look through your Task Manager. Let me know what you find, and we'll go from there.

You should be able to find the relevant steps by looking it up on the web, but give me a shout if you have any trouble along the way. Thanks!

Hey everyone, thanks for nudging me back and sorry to hear that you're all having trouble with this. Could you let me know if you're able to share the folder or file using the website? Also, is this issue happening only with a specific email or domain?

Hi @"raphaelp", thanks for reaching out to us. I understand that you can't access the shared folder, but could you clarify if you're able to find it in your Files tab, or if it's in your Share tab with the option to be added? Looking forward to hearing back from you!

Hey @"mrr17", I had a quick look around the web, where I found that .lib files contain static libraries that can be used as import libraries for .dll files, and .crs files are typically a type of binary file used by certain software. Since, from the version history, the files were added from a computer, the cause could be…

Hey @"yvettescott", are you able to open the file in the relevant third party app to edit the fields in question? If you can't do it directly from the website, are you able to download it and then open it?

Hey there @"TitanxD", let's see what we can do. Since you've uninstalled the desktop app, have you tried restoring the default folder path via the Windows properties? Let me know how it goes, thanks!

Hey @"Maemae76", have you tried doing this from another browser or an incognito window? If you have, maybe clearing the cache will do the trick instead.

Hey @"dodomolinari", thanks for reaching out to us. You're right, when you create such a link, it's looking for a specific location on your hard drive. So when you open it from another computer and the path is different, the workbook isn't able to run accordingly. You can find some additional information on this given by…

Do you by any chance have any pending updates on your computer or the Dropbox desktop app? Just for troubleshooting purposes, could you create a test file and try saving any changes to it while the desktop app isn't running?
