Hi @"sargan", thanks for bringing this to our attention. When you access the shared link to the folder, from an incognito window while not signed into your account, do you see a link at the bottom to open the folder without having to create an account? It should allow you and other users to view the shared link on the…

Hi @"bdepaoli", thanks for contacting us. As it seems that you don't have enough space on your Mac itself, as opposed to quota on your Dropbox account, there isn't a method to move files into your Dropbox folder, while not taking up any space on your machine. The files would need to upload first, and then can be marked as…

As you mentioned you have several thousand files, are there over 5000 files in the folder you're trying to automate? If you click the i icon there next to 'Apply to existing files', it would mention the file limit.

If you're using file requests to upload files to them, and you're getting this message, it's possible that they don't have enough quota on their own Dropbox account. Could you check with them to see how much quota they have on this page?
-
Hi @"juicyandlucy", thanks for messaging the Community. As @"Rich" suggested, it's possible you could be a member of a shared folder, which doesn't provide you with extra quota. Could you let us know how exactly you're sharing files with your friend? This will help me to assist further!

Currently, the only information we have for attempting to resolve a selective sync conflict would be the information in this article. Have you followed all those steps to resolve this?

Hi @"tblanpied", thanks for the screenshots. This would appear to be related to how Mac OS displays the size of local folders on your device in Finder. As you can see, the Get Info page correctly shows the Size on Disk, which is the actual size of files stored in those folders. There might be a setting in Finder itself…

Hi @"Rachel L.", thanks for messaging the Community. Did you mark the folder itself as available offline, prior to moving them to the other folder you mentioned, instead of manually marking each file as available offline? What is the default sync status for new files according to the Dropbox desktop application preferences…

Hi @"yesnobutton", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Are you receiving selective sync conflicts on both devices? Have you recently made any updates to the OS or system on either device? Any other info or screenshots would be helpful!

Hi @"Timandra", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Just for clarification, when you say that the camera uploads folder is missing, is it only missing when viewing the Dropbox folder in Finder and on your phone, or is it also missing on the Dropbox site? Is it possible that you've enabled selective sync, to prevent…

Are you trying to install the app and have the Dropbox folder on an external drive? Could you provide the exact version of Mac OS you're running on your system?
-
Thanks for the info. This would mean that the files weren't deleted by the Dropbox system itself, so the files were deleted via another method. Either an app or service on your computer deleted the files, or another device that your account is connected to could've possibly deleted the files. Any of the scenarios in the…

Thanks for the image. Could you click the blue link in that image and copy and paste the error log in your next reply in order to see what was logged?

Hi @"RockWarrior", thanks for bringing this to our attention. If you're not on a Dropbox Basic plan with more than 3 devices connected, could you try an advanced reinstall of the app using the steps in this link? Keep me updated with any progress!

In general, Dropbox doesn't delete your files without any user input. In some cases, when exceeding your quota on a Basic plan, you may be subject to data deletion, but you would receive multiple emails and notifications regarding this. This thread contains many possibilities on why files might be deleted from your Dropbox…

Hi @"pentagramwookie", thanks for bringing this to our attention. If you quit the Dropbox desktop application entirely, is it still slow when opening folders within the Dropbox folder itself? Just for clarification, as you mentioned removing files, are the folders or files marked as available, available offline, or…
