Yes, it looks like it's disabled, so it isn't active currently. Are the Desktop, Documents and Downloads folders still in the Dropbox folder?
-
Hi @"JGLR", if the Save option is inactive, then it could mean that the computer backup feature is already disabled. When you view the Backups tab in the Dropbox desktop application, does it show 'Set up', or Manage at the top?
-
As this doesn't appear to be Dropbox-related, since this works on our test devices, I'll leave this thread open for other users to suggest other ideas on how to resolve this.
-
If you're not getting a prompt, then there is definitely something on your browser, machine or network preventing it from loading, since I get a prompt on my test devices without having a 365 account. There is a possibility that a proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router issues could be restricting…

Hi @"itsjustme1", thanks for messaging today! When you attempt to print the file via Office Online, do you get an option for a printable PDF of the document? Does that version print from the Dropbox site? Any other info or screenshots would be helpful!
-
I'm glad to hear you were able to locate the correct option. Enjoy your weekend!

Hi @"foolio", it looks like you're following the the steps to 'share' a file by using Dropbox, instead of saving it to Dropbox, hence why it's asking you for an email address to share it to. Could you try scrolling down the original options to find one that says save or add to Dropbox? You might need to expand the options…

Hi @"juri", thanks for messaging the Community! As you've noticed, shared folders do take up quota on all active members' accounts. If you don't have enough quota on your account, you can ask them to create a file request to upload files to their account. If you need any further assistance, please let me know!
-
The Dropbox Transfer plan has the same quota as the Basic plan, meaning you get 2 GB of quota. The 100 GB is for using the Transfer feature on your account, which on a normal Basic plan would be 100 MB. The files could be uploaded directly into a transfer to be sent to someone.
-
Hi @"Astrojon917", it looks like you're on a plan that doesn't provide enough space on your account for the files to sync. Since you mentioned that you upgraded to a larger plan, please could you clarify exactly what plan is written on the account page? Alternatively, you can see your recent payments which would give the…

The folders in Finder appear to be in different locations since they don't match. Are you certain that these are showing the exact same folder as visible on the Dropbox site?
-
Hi @"mvpm", could you attach a screenshot showing the exact filename as it appears on the Dropbox site, and how the folder appears on your local machine?
-
If the files aren't visible on the account, and not in the events page or deleted files item, then it wouldn't be possible to recover them at this point since the recover period of 30 days would have expired. I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
-
Have you tried other browsers, aside from Chrome, on the phone to open the shared link?
-
Hi @"Katrinka", could you try opening the shared link to download the file via another browser on your device?
-
Thanks for the update, I'd recommend getting in contacting with the support team directly for further assistance. Once you get a ticket ID from the automated response, please let me know the number here so I can locate it in our system!
-
Hi @"SpacBogdan97", were these files located in a shared folder that another user could have access to? When was the last time you access the shared link, was it over 30 days?
-
Thanks for the update, I'g glad to hear that you have your files back. Enjoy your weekend!
-
Hi @"Alexis Franck", thanks for posting on the Community! It seems that you're experiencing the issue at the bottom of this article on your device. Do you have any other cloud providers running on your machine? Could you try temporarily quitting them to see if this helps? This will help me to assist further!

In that case, the account sounds like it was fully deleted, and this is a new account. However, the team admin might still have the option to transfer your files on the deleted account to another member on the team, including the admin themselves. That member could then share those files to you so you can download them or…
-
Those steps would convert a member on a Dropbox Business plan to a personal account away from the team. If they didn't choose the option to 'Convert to individual Dropbox Basic account instead', then they would have deleted the account from the system completely. Generally, the email is reserved for 7 days to allow the…
-
Hi @"bjchoi", thanks for joining the Community! As you were able to create an account with the same email, it means that the original account has been deleted from the system. In general, this means that it wouldn't be possible to restore the original account. Was that previous account part of a Dropbox Business team, or…
-
Hi @"Osman H", thanks for messaging today! I haven't checked the link directly, however, I would only recommend opening a link on the Dropbox site directly. If this site is requesting your Dropbox email and password, then it could be a phishing site, so I personally would not recommend accessing it. If you need any more…

Glad to hear it's working now, let me know if you have any further queries in future! Enjoy your week!

Hi @"Borg3", thanks for posting on the Community! Currently, there isn't a 64 bit version of the Dropbox desktop application for Windows. If you wish, you can suggest this change for others to vote on, so the dev team can look into this in future! [Moderator edit: A 64-bit version of the desktop app is now available to…

Hi @"beegee49", thanks for posting on the Community! Are you referring to this app to email files to your Dropbox account? Are you getting any error messages or other information? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"Joseph Parks", any files you add from your PC into the Dropbox folder will remain local, they don't get marked as online-only immediately. If you disable the save space automatically feature, then they won't become online-only after a month of not being used. Bear in mind that Smart Sync is device-specific, so one…

It wouldn't be possible to sort the images on the Dropbox site by creation date. The only sorting options on the site are by name, modification date. number of invited members, type of file, file extension, and finally the size of the file.

Hi @"John W.134", thanks for posting on the Community. It sounds like you're interested in completely deleting your Dropbox account. You can do so by following these steps. This will permanently remove your account, and there won't be a way to log back into it or regain access to any existing files. If you need any further…
