Thanks for the update on this matter, and I'm glad to hear you were able to login to your account. Enjoy the rest of your week!

Hi @"Andrew33", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Could you try switching browsers to see if this helps? Otherwise, you can try using incognito/private browsing mode without any extensions running, clearing your cache and even resetting your browser entirely. Keep me updated with any progress!

Hi @"Christian W.10", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Currently, there isn't a method to just search for the file name of a file. If you have the files syncing in the Dropbox folder on your machine, you might be able to search via Explorer/Finder, or from the Dropbox desktop application. Keep me updated with any…

Hi @"Graham-7", in order to understand if it's official or not, could you attach a screenshot showing the exact email you received? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"joshualux", if you mark entire folders as available offline, then all files within that folder would also be available offline with a green icon.
-
Thanks for the update, this should help other users who have similar questions in the future!
-
Thanks for the info, in order to look into this matter in more detail, would it be possible to reach out to the email associated with your forum profile?
-
No worries, glad to have helped out! Enjoy your week!

Hi @"SGalbraith", thanks for bringing this to our attention. If you're not on a Dropbox Basic plan with more than 3 devices connected, could you try uninstalling the app, rebooting the device, and re-installing it to see if this helps? Keep me updated with any progress!

Hi @"marktb1961", thank you for your feedback relating to the new syncing behavior on Dropbox for macOS. As with any operating system (OS), macOS is updated regularly and with that, we must keep the Dropbox desktop app aligned with any requirements set out by an OS. Keeping aligned to those requirements ensures that the…

Hi @"g v.", are you referring to a change in the iOS Dropbox mobile app? Could you attach a screenshot showing this prompt you mentioned to review the images?
-
Hi @"judybirkenhead", if you're not able to share from your normal Dropbox folder, then you might be experiencing this behavior. You you clarify the exact error message you're getting? Is this for creating new shared links, or even accessing your previous shared links online?
-
Hi @"jhedleyj", it sounds like you already have a backup on the Dropbox account. Could you check this page to see if it's visible there and then try to disable it?
-
If the payment is being taken by Dropbox directly according to your bank statement, you can use the card lookup tool to locate which account it belongs to.
-
If you were using a Mac which was running the older Intel chip, then it would work normally. However, on Macs with the M1 chip, only the S Mode version of the app would run on Windows when using Parallels on that device.
-
Since it sounds like Windscribe itself is blocking the internet because it reconnects and blocks all traffic, this does affect the Dropbox desktop application. There isn't much I can suggest except to quit and restart the app when your VPN has to reconnect.
-
Hi @"Robinb91", have you tried using Ctrl+Click on the Dropbox icon in the system tray to access the preferences? From there you can choose the Dropbox folder location in the Sync tab.
-
Hi @"eam3666", it does sound like it wouldn't be possible to recover those files since they were deleted so long ago from the Dropbox site. In the future, we'd recommend downloading the files to another internal drive location, ensure that they have the correct size to them, and then move them to an external drive…
-
Hi @"bradipo", this would work for folders mainly, since any files inside folders marked as available offline would automatically be downloaded as well.
-
Hi @"audrey111", as you're running Windows on a Mac with an M1 chip, this is an ARM chip, which isn't supported for the Dropbox desktop application on Windows.
-
That's correct, since the new version of the Dropbox desktop application for Mac OS, files added online or from other devices will default to online-only on your machine. You can still mark entire folders as available offline, and files within there should download as local copies.
-
Hi @"NunzaumedeinRoss", if the files in your local Dropbox folder are the only copy remaining, I'd recommend as a precaution to move them to another folder entirely first. After that, choose the option to Rename the Dropbox folder from this prompt, and allow the app to sync the files from the site. Once that's done, you…

Currently, it wouldn't be possible to change it to make all files local on the new version Mac OS version of the Dropbox app. You should still be able to mark folders as available offline by right clicking them in Finder and choosing that option.
-
It's possible there's something affecting the upload on a cellular network, hence why I want to try a WiFi network, to further investigate what could be occurring.
-
That's correct, though aside from this, there are other items that Dropbox uses to detect a suspicious login attempt.
-
Hi @"AntoineHlmn", as it looks like you're running the new version of the Dropbox desktop application for Mac OS, all files added via the site or other devices would be downloaded as online-only by default.
-
Hi @"eagle123", thanks for bringing this to our attention. If you're receiving this error message from the iCloud service, then it could be a restriction from iCloud itself, and not Dropbox. Could you attach a screenshot showing this error? Thanks!
-
Hi @"RStephens", thanks for bringing this to our attention. In general, only a team admin would be able to access the admin console for the Dropbox Business team. Is it not possible to recreate the email address? Is it part of a private business domain name, or a public email provider? Currently, we only provide incoming…

Hi @"gilpactores", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Could you let us know more information about the security code? Was this sent via email, or a prompt on the machine? Any other info or screenshots would be helpful!
-
Yes, the password for the account doesn't need to be correct in order to receive this email.
