Hi @"Scottpbrown", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Could you try using a different media player on your machine to preview the file itself? Does the file play normally on the Dropbox site from the link you got originally? Keep me updated with any progress!

Hi @"Quitt", what @"Rich" said is correct, file transfers on Dropbox Professional plans have a maximum of 50 GB per file. The only option if you want to do it via Dropbox at this stage would be to upgrade your account and add it via the shared folder.

Hi @"blakorpheus", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Have you used Hellosign or Dropbox Sign before now? Could you check if the domain name of the email sender matches one of our official domains? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"InvertedPilot1", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Just for clarification, is this the first time you've logged into your account after 10 years? This will help me to assist further!

Hi @"StuartN", could you clarify what you mean by having your client's primary Dropbox login? Are you referring to their login credentials for Dropbox itself? Are you using VNC or other remote manager software, or a VM? Do you have any proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router settings that could be…

Hi @"ahmed" Asghar, I’d recommend getting in contact with our support team directly to look into this matter in more detail. You can do this by opening an incognito/private browsing window, while not signed into your account, and accessing this link. From there you should be able to contact support. Make sure to enter the…

My recommendation would be to not migrate the Dropbox app, or the Dropbox folder itself, since that usually causes permission issues even today on the older version. On the new Mac, you can reinstall the app from the site, sign into the app, and then let the files sync down from the site.

Hi @"mnp22", out of curiosity, do you have a third party mouse or tablet connected to your Mac, or are you using VNC or another remote management software to access your device?
-
Is the Photos library missing entirely, or is the app itself saying that it can't be stored where it is, and needs to be moved? This thread might have information helpful to you.

Hi @"Mark E.29", are either of the new devices on the new version of the Dropbox desktop application for Mac OS? That version no longer supports LAN sync. Have you opened up all the ports required for the Dropbox desktop application to work normally? Are you using any proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even…

Hi @"SparshMittal", I'd recommend having these domains whitelisted, and these ports. Keep us updated with any progress!

Hi @"Babelle2023", all files in the Dropbox folder are stored on the Dropbox site, assuming that the Dropbox desktop application is running and fully synced, and that you haven't enabled selective sync. The online-only feature means that files don't take up physical space on your computer.

Thanks @"kenterickson", I've moved your post to the API forum for further assistance on this matter.
-
I'm glad to hear that it seems to be working for now. Just to clarify, when it said 'choose a Dropbox to save to', do you have a Dropbox Business team linked to a personal account, so you had the choice to upload to either account?
-
Thanks for the info, @"Gary Wang", we appreciate the info and have noted it on our end to look into.

No worries, glad to have helped out on this matter. If you need any further assistance in the future, please let me know. Enjoy your week ahead!

Hi @"Heather11", thanks for bringing this to our attention. It sounds like you might have upgraded to the new Dropbox desktop application for Mac OS. You can confirm this by checking the location of the Dropbox folder and seeing if it's in CloudStorage. Due to the change, Apple no longer allows Photos Library to be stored…
-
Hi @"fssbob", thanks for messaging the Community. To prevent any unexpected behavior, we'd recommend allowing the Dropbox desktop application to sync the files from the site directly when migrating to a new Mac. If you have any further queries, feel free to message back.

Hi @"Joel Mursal", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Are you connected to a stable WiFi network or cellular data when uploading? What messages do you get on your phone during the attempted upload? Are you uploading directly from the Dropbox mobile app, or via another method into your account? Any other info or…

Hi @"Dragon Personal Management", thanks for bringing this to our attention. If you're not on a Dropbox Basic plan with more than 3 devices connected, could you try uninstalling the app, rebooting the device, and re-installing it to see if this helps? Keep me updated with any progress!

Hi @"KS88", thanks for your message. Currently, it isn't possible to get a full list of the files currently on your Dropbox account. However, you could simply download the folders in their entirety, which would be a zip files containing the files. After that, you can extract the files you need from the zip file. If you…
-
Hi @"sbob", thanks for messaging the Community. As the Dropbox Backup feature and the main Dropbox area are separate, it isn't possible to move files from one section to another. Are you trying to move the main folders themselves, such as Desktop, Downloads and Documents, or subfolders within those folder? This will help…
-
Hi @"ccaravello", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Just for clarification, when you wife's phone was connected, did you ever see a prompt to upload images? This will help me to assist further!

-
Are you referring to the password error message, or the error log you pasted earlier?
-
Hi @"Sydenham", are you entering the admin password for your machine?

Does this behavior (where the file doesn't move up automatically) occur with other files, and not just file requests? What about in other folders unrelated to Dropbox?
