Hi @"NMDenise", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Could you clarify how you're attaching images from the camera uploads folder onto Facebook Marketplace? Have you tried rebooting the device entirely to see if this helps? This will help me to assist further!

Hi @"bigpixel", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Just for clarification, the folder is definitely still in the Dropbox folder on your computer, with all the files inside it? Do the files have any syncing icons on them? Do you see any recent events or deleted files on the Dropbox site? This will help me to assist…

Hi @"JuliusIncestus", thanks for bringing this to our attention. When you created the shared link, what this an edit link or a read-only link? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"esmewang", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Are the files visible on the Dropbox site or the Dropbox folder? Is the Dropbox desktop application currently installed an running on your machine? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"Torsten2", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Have you tried tagging files on the Dropbox site in order to search for them? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"Fairsarae", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Could you check what the permissions are for the shared link? Is it possible that you created a shared link with edit permissions, meaning it would become a shared folder? This will help me to assist further!

Hi @"KJS-LES", thanks for messaging the Community! The Dropbox folder is that same as any normal folder on your computer, aside from the fact that it allows syncing with the Dropbox service. Files will take up space on your computer in this folder, unless you use selective sync (to prevent entire folders from appearing on…

Thanks for the info, I can see you're already in contact with a support agent. They'll be able to assist with this from there on.

Hi @"morashmedia", this seems to be the normal selective sync window. A minus symbol here means that you've selected a fold, but not all of the subfolders are selected. Technically, only the folder structure, the files in the root of each folder, and the final folder, should be syncing to your computer.

Could you provide me with the ticket ID in order to locate it on the system?

NordVPN does have a service running in the background, so if you're using the desktop app (not the browser extension), it could still be affecting the traffic to Dropbox. I'm glad to hear you were able to locate what affected your connection. It might be worth contacting NordVPN support since they might be able to help…

Hi @"CedarHillHomestead", I've merged your post into this thread. We've logged your feedback about this feature, and if you have any further input, we'd appreciate any comments.
-
Thanks for the info, in order to look into this matter in more detail, would it be possible to reach out to the email associated with your forum profile?
-
HI @"tyeik", are these files in a team folder, shared folder or a private folder? Have you tried contacting the support team already regarding this matter?
-
Thanks, it looks like you're running the newer version of the Dropbox desktop application. How many files do you have in your Dropbox account and how many are in your Dropbox folder?
-
Is the main computer also connected via WiFi, or using a network cable? Could you try quitting all open apps from the system tray, aside from Dropbox, and try adding a file to the Dropbox folder to see if the speed improves?
-
Okay, this image indicates that you're not using any quota at all. If the shared folder was on the account and taking up quota, the bar should be filled with a pale blue color. Are you 100% certain this is the same account that you're getting emails about?
-
HI @"Sim4", the article here does contain a list of the most common characters that might prevent syncing to certain devices and OSes, however, it is not a full conclusive list. Generally, uncommon symbol characters could also affect the syncing of files and folders.

If the app is uploading slowly to the Dropbox servers, then something could be throttling that connection. Are you certain that you have no other software that could be monitoring the Dropbox folder or app? Have you contacted your ISP for further assistance on this matter?
-
Could you clarify what support you're referring to, from Dropbox or another company?
-
Hi @"andy03", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Do you have any proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router settings that could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains? This will help me to assist further!
-
Okay, so what you're saying it that in your experience the app never opened a file in another app when you first tapped the file, and you believed that setting a default app would allow you to do so, is that correct?
-
Hi @"Gerold1", the CloudStorage location is also on the hard drive. Please could you confirm the exact location of the Dropbox folder from the desktop app preferences, while hiding the username?
-
So, just for clarification, you're saying that the first tap always showed files in another app, if specified, and this changed recently? Did this apply to every single file type in your Dropbox account?
-
Are you referring to the first tap you make on a file, which will preview it in the Dropbox mobile app in step 3? If so, any file will preview first in the mobile app, and then if you choose to edit it, you use the 'Open with' prompt to open it in your desired app, which should now be defaulted to Jota+.
-
It sounds like this might be an issue with the Adobe app if it can't upload to the Dropbox servers, since it works normally from within Dropbox. Have you tried contacting them for further assistance on this matter?
-
Just to check again, do you mean the desktop app or the mobile app? What OS are you running running on your device?
-
If you create a shared link with edit access, this makes the folder a shared folder, so users will require a Dropbox account of their own to edit the file. Currently, it isn't possible to share your system Documents folder with other Dropbox accounts.

You can click the camera icon in the reply box, or copy and paste it directly. The second image of the edit button in the Word app would also be helpful.

Hi @"brett t.", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Could you clarify exactly what you're referring to regarding the previews, and how it's affecting the workflow with these third party apps? Any other info or screenshots would be helpful.
