It looks like the file wasn't saved properly, unfortunately. This means that it wouldn't be possible to recover the file. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful on this matter.

Are you able to view the capture saved in the Dropbox folder without any errors?

As the default group is a company-managed group, then it wouldn't be possible for non-admins to remove users from the group. You'll need to get the admin to remove that user from the group. You can read up more about groups from this page.

Hi @"sammybloomberg", thanks for messaging the Community! By default, when a new user is added to the 'Everyone at' group, however, you can remove that group from the user and choose Group 2 instead. Depending on your sharing permissions, you might be able to share a link to the folder in question, which won't require that…

HI @"Patricia V.2", the screenshot was to confirm that the size on disk is smaller than it should be. In this case, it looks to be the same, meaning that no files are marked as available online. Could you attach a screenshot of the Dropbox folder in Finder, showing the sync icons specifically to confirm that they have a…

Hi @"Jon2024", thanks for bringing this to our attention. If the Dropbox Capture app wasn't able to upload files to the site in time, then it's possible that the record isn't recoverable at this point. Are you able to locate a copy of the file locally somehow? Keep me posted with any details.

Hi @"Dallexx", do you have OneDrive installed on your machine? If you quit that app temporarily, do those yellow icons go away, or change to another icon?
-
Thanks for the info, we appreciate the feedback and do take all comments into consideration for the future!

An external monitor could be affecting this somehow. You could try these steps to see if they help with the display of the Dropbox desktop application.
-
Hi @"itevans", do you have any custom DPI or zoom settings on your desktop display resolution from within the Windows settings?
-
Hi @"SKCSKNathan", the original post isn't related to your feature request, and it refers to a feature that is no longer available with Dropbox. Regarding your request, would the person be working exclusively in the Dropbox Paper document, or on other browser tabs? Have you found any similar apps or services that could…
-
Hi @"AdyShearer", are you following these steps to attach files in the Gmail app? Regarding your screenshots, the camera icon allows you to attach images, or you can copy and paste them into your next reply.

You can create a Dropbox account and then create a file request link, which allows people to upload files to the account, without being able to see other files in the account. Then you can create a shared link to the same folder, which can be accessed by anyone on the web if they have the link, and that'll allow them to…

If the files in total would be less than 2 GB, then you should be able to do this on a free Basic plan with Dropbox. Do you want the other users to have their own Dropbox account to upload files into a shared folder, or will you need only one account to which everyone can upload to?

There are these settings related to apps on your team, though it should be for the entire team, and not specific accounts. Since it is occurring for certain users, it might be related to a device or account-specific issue for those users, especially since you're using different enterprise management services to distribute…

Hi @"billwh", thanks for messaging the Community! How large are the files you're trying to share with others? Will they need edit access to the files as well? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"Stewart TAS", thanks for providing these details! Just for clarification, does that Microsoft license match any of the other licenses visible in this article? Did this change happen recently after any updates to the OS or apps? This will help me to assist further!

Thanks for the update. Generally, third party apps keep a cache of frequently accessed files in order to speed things up for yourself. However, this might result in the app not getting the latest copy of the file, which can lead to this situation. Clearing the cache forces that app to get the latest version of the file.

No worries, I'm glad to have helped out. Just to let you know, the only instance in which files are deleted from your account by Dropbox is if an account has been left inactive for 12 months in a row (as in, a person doesn't login or sync files to the account), then the entire account is deactivated.
-
Hi @"ardnassan", thanks for messaging the Community! Currently, there isn't a way to see which photos haven't been uploaded from the phone to your account. Another method to ensure the photos are on your account would be to connect the phone to your computer and then copy the folder into your Dropbox folder, which would…

Hi @"torrmundi", it can take time for the request for files to made offline if there are a lot of files in the folder. It can be a matter of waiting for the process to complete itself.

Hi @"dreamuser-dnco", have you tried contacting the support team for further assistance on this matter?
-
When you reinstalled the Dropbox desktop application, did you perform an advanced reinstallation?
-
Does the Dropbox preview show the correct up to date file? Have you tried clearing the cache in that Office viewer app?
-
Hi @"Joak0695", we appreciate the feedback on this matter. You can try to manually create a shortcut to the Dropbox folder through Windows and add it to your taskbar.
-
Thanks for the feedback. As this is a change required by the new File Provider update, there isn't much else we can suggest. We do appreciate your comments and take everything into consideration when looking to improve the service.
-
Hi @"Allen D.", thanks for the details. I think it would be best to provide this information in a ticket to the support team directly for them to investigate this in more detail on their end.
-
Hi @"autologout", thanks for messaging the Community! What version of iOS are you currently running on your device? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"thognar", it wouldn't be possible to edit files directly in the Vault. You'll need to edit files first on your computer, then upload them into the Vault on the site. @"beelove", what concerns do you have in particular regarding the change to having Vault being based on the Dropbox site?
