Hi @"DHK", thanks for posting today! The files shouldn't be deleted from your computer entirely. It should only be deleted normally, and the file would appear in the Trash like other files. Can you confirm that his behavior has changed on your computer? This will help me to assist further!

Hi @"Laura42", thanks for contacting us! Just to clarify, you're trying to upload files to your Dropbox account? From which device are you trying to do so? I'm a little confused on what your plan is exactly, so could you describe it step-by-step for me? This will help me to assist further!

You can try uploading the files directly to the Dropbox site without using the Dropbox desktop application.

It could literally be any open app on your computer. You could try quitting the Dropbox desktop application completely, as well as any open app, and then delete any files or folders you don't want from Finder. If they reappear after that, please let me know.

Hi @"WhyDoHumansNoLongerExist", thanks for posting today! Just for clarification, is the website the only place with the updated files? What OSes and Dropbox versions are you running on those devices? This will help me to assist further!

Hi @"croqueteer", thanks for posting today! The green icon would appear if you've specifically marked files as available offline on your computer. Could you try marking one of them like that to see if this helps? Keep me posted!

Hi @"mprodywus", could you have the users contact the support team directly by opening an incognito/private browsing window, while not signed into their account, and accessing this link. Ask them to make sure to enter the same email they use to login to Dropbox.

The files shouldn't be edited from the app if there is no edit access. Have you tried to duplicate this behavior on their end to what options they are seeing?

Please don't provide any shared links on the community for security and privacy purposes. Are you certain that the users who are editing the files aren't also invited and are members of the shared folder itself? Are they previewing the file or link via a desktop or mobile Apple device?
-
Hi @"Giova GT", thanks for messaging the Community! The option should be in your phone settings. For a Samsung device, it should be in the Permission manager section. Keep me updated with any progress!

Hi @"HAL Pilot", thanks for posting today! Are the embedded links linking to a non-Dropbox location, a relative link to another location in the PDF, or something else entirely? How have you shared the PDF file with other users, is it via a shared folder, shared file or a shared link to the file? This will help me to assist…

Could you attach a screenshot of the referrals page, while hiding any email addresses on it to see what is there?

The option to backup videos has been there since the feature was introduced. Videos likewise would also be renamed to show the data and time they were created. While I personally don't know the reasoning behind why the files are renamed, I imagine that it makes it easy to locate a specific photo or video given the date and…
-
Hi @"Brett G.3", if you're using the automatic camera uploads feature, then it isn't possible to disable the renaming of the files. To keep your original file names, you'll need to upload the images manually to your account via the app.
-
Hi @"vesuvana", when you view that earlier PDF on a desktop browser, do you get the same issue with the overlapping text?

Hi @"jestabil", thanks for messaging the Community! You can view the backup on this page and to see what files are stored in there. To delete the backup, these steps should help out. Keep me posted!
