Hi @"Angry Beaver", how many photos do you have on your account approximately?
-
Does it have the old business email address that you no longer use? Are you able to change it to another email address that you have access to, one which isn't already associated with a Dropbox account?
-
Is the invoicing app currently open? Have you tried quitting that app entirely to see if this helps? Could you also check the bandwidth limit in the Dropbox desktop application preferences?
-
Hi @"Philip F.2", you can contact the support team directly by opening an incognito/private browsing window, while not signed into your account, and accessing this link, choose 'Other' and then put in an email address that you can access, followed by your billing info.
-
Hi @"AirSix", at this point, I'd recommend contacting the support team directly for them to assist you in relation to this matter, as they have more access to account-specific details.
-
Hi @"SueSi", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Just for clarification, are you able to login to the Dropbox account and change the email address on this page? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"Bittobetty", thanks for messaging the Community. Are these files in a specific folder, or randomly located on your account? How large are the files you're trying to sync? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"see1", thanks for these details. I'd recommend contacting the support team directly for them to investigate this in more detail on their end.
-
The desktop app shouldn't have to login consistently, it should remain logged in permanently, provided you don't manually log out of the app. What desktop OS and Dropbox desktop app version are you currently running?
-
It seems like there was a conflict at some point on your account, could you attach a screenshot showing how it appears in Explorer/Finder and on the Dropbox site?
-
Hi @"kenternst", thanks for posting today! Are you referring to the Dropbox site, mobile app or desktop app? Do you have any proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router settings that could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"Clifford_B", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Are you a member of a shared folder, which you have view-only access to, or another user has view-access? This will help me to assist further!

Hi @"Luce_S", I've merged you to this thread, please check the solution on how to disable the quick view on the site.
-
Hi @"thognar", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Currently, there isn't an official method to do as you're asking with Dropbox. There may be some other third party apps or services that can help you to sync that way to and from Dropbox. If you have any further queries, feel free to message back.
-
Hi @"KathieKathy", the Dropbox Backup feature is different to the normal syncing process of the Dropbox folder. Do you have Dropbox Backup enabled on your device? You can check if there are any active backups on this page.
-
Hi @"Liz Falconer", do you have any proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router settings that could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains?
-
Could you check the bandwidth settings in the Dropbox desktop application? Also, is the external drive connected via USB 30 or C to your machine, and is it also in use frequently during times of syncing?
-
No worries, thanks for letting us know in this matter and that you were able to get the edits.
-
There might not be a conflicted copy since this was via shared link. If the text was deleted, then it could appear on the events page, but as you've mentioned, it isn't there in the version history.
-
If a file is edited in Word for the Web, then it would be edited and saved almost immediately. Have you previously had conflicted copies when the same file with your collaborator was opened at the same time?
-
Do you have any proxy, VPN, firewall, security software, or even ISP/router settings that could be restricting traffic to the following Dropbox domains?
-
Hi @"chrisjorg", thanks for bringing this to our attention. Just for clarification, what kind of shared link to the file did you create for them to edit the file? This will help me to assist further!
-
Hi @"Morgsbek", thanks for messaging the Community! When you enable the camera upload feature, it will automatically attempt to upload any images in the camera roll and any albums you choose to the Camera Uploads folder. It won't be possible to preserve any album names, since all images go into the Camera Uploads folder.…

@"Britkit97", you can copy and paste your screenshot in your next reply, if you're not seeing the option to attach the screenshot. Otherwise, try using a desktop machine to attach it. @"dlav2001", it might not be possible to deselect subfolders when using the Dropbox Backup feature on your device.
-
Do the files have any sync icons on them? Could you attach a screenshot showing the difference of files on the external drive, and on the Dropbox site?
-
Could you clarify exactly what you mean by using a snipping tool event, step-by-step, for me to understand what is happening?
-
Instead of moving the file itself, does a copy of the file experience the same issue? Does the file have a password, or any other special permissions on it?
-
HI @"ddco3", could you clarify what the issue is exactly? Are you trying to add that shared folder which is 716 GB onto your account which has a 2 GB limit?
-
Could you test this by copying and pasting the file into the root Dropbox folder, and try starring that copy?
