Hey @"Justinw", thanks for joining our Community. Can you please clarify if the syncing icons on your files have completely disappeared, or have they perhaps changed? Did you receive a notification on your Dropbox icon to update your Dropbox app to Dropbox for macOS and if so, have you done so? And if you hover your mouse…

Thanks Marko, I just sent you one, so make sure to get back to me, when you get a chance. 🙂
-
Hey @"Rafael Millan", can you please send us a screenshot of what you see in your backups page?
-
I'm afraid that if these files are within the Documents folder and you've chosen to back up this folder to Dropbox, they will be backed up as well. There's no way to specify which folders to have backed up within a backed up folder at this time.

Hey @"Sam B.11", sorry to see you're experiencing this issue. Have you taken a look at the info in this article about it?
-
Hey @"Chrisg53", could it be possible that you have another account that was accidentally upgraded? Are the monthly charges credit/debit card ones, or through iTunes/Google Play?
-
Hey @"MarkoK1", thanks for letting us know about this. Can we actually send you an email, so we can look into this internally?
-
Hey @"Maxadolf", sorry to jump in here. Anyone, even people without a Dropbox account, can access files through "can view" shared links. Can you clarify how you shared it with them? Also, what is the file type and size (in MB/GB) of this video? And are you downloading it directly from the link, or is it saved in your…

Thanks for reporting this to us, @"sawin1". If you re-build the Spotlight index and are still facing the same issues, do let us know.
-
You can follow the steps here to clear your browser's cache. I hope this helps!
-
Hey @"kurtbaud", thanks for the nudge here. Can you give us some more info as to why you cannot share the folder with 'can edit' permissions? Are you getting some kind of error message, or are you perhaps not seeing an option to? If you can send us a screenshot to give us a visual of the issue, that would also be much…
-
Hey @"Alijan", happy Monday! Are you having some kind of issue uploading photos to your Dropbox account? If so, can you give us some info on the issue?
-
Thanks for the additional info and screenshots, @"MtnBiker". Have you checked your backups page, to see if you have any backups enabled that might be taking up your space, like Jay suggested?
-
Hey @"LRicci", sorry to see your Dropbox icon is missing from your menu bar. Just to check if the issue lies there, can you try the steps here, to make sure the Dropbox icon is selected to appear in your menu bar?
-
Hey @"nnifinn", happy Monday! I just sent you an email, so make sure to get back to me when you have a chance.
-
Hey @"RD photos", if you choose, say, the "link for viewing" option, does it not allow you to share it with other apps like Messenger or Instagram? If not, what happens after you choose an option?
-
Hey @"robn1", you can always bookmark the events page on your browser, so you can easily access it. Can you please send us a screenshot of these errors that you're getting, so we can also have a visual of the issue?
-
Hey @"viclea", thanks for joining our Community! I believe that this is a third party app, which sounds like it's saving files to your Documents folder. But for them to be taking up your Dropbox space, that means that you have enabled our backup feature on your computer, is that right? If this wasn't intentional, you can…
-
Hey @"crackeryaker", can you click on the arrow (dropdown menu) next to the "Modified" column header, choose "Size" and then try to find the "calculate size" option, to see if that works?
-
Hey David, can you try choosing the second option from the error message ("give Dropbox a new location to create a new Dropbox folder") and then follow these steps? 1. When the new Dropbox folder is created, immediately pause syncing 2. Move only the content of the old Dropbox folder into the newly created one. 3. When the…

Hey @"FireFox99", thanks for reaching out to our Community. Have you tried downloading your files using a different browser, or a private browsing window, to see if that helps?
-
Thanks for the screenshot, @"dlsmith2827". Can we reach out to you via email, so we can look into this internally?
-
Hey @"Anwick" and @"bagofchips", sorry to see you're having an issue with this. Can we actually reach out to you via email, so we can look further into this?
-
Hey @"DJohnsonPPI", thanks for posting to our Community. You can see all the ways you can search for files on Dropbox and which search features are available to which plan here. Also, if you use the Dropbox desktop app, you can search for files using the local Dropbox folder, which is just like any other folder on your…

Hey @"ARQPPZ", sorry to jump in here. Our shared links are live, so if you share a link with someone and then you update the file that the link points to, they'll be able to access the updated file every time, as long as they have access to the link. I hope this clarifies things!
-
Thanks for the additional info, Sonny. I'll still need some clarifications, though. Are these Word files shared between you and your customer? Meaning, are they in a folder that both your accounts share? And also, after editing the files and saving them locally (which appear to have synced), if you then open them from…
-
Hey @"korp_mac", welcome to our Community. Have you tried selecting the files, right/control clicking on them and choosing 'make available offline' to see if that helps? Let me know.
-
Hey @"bgovindji", thanks for reaching out to the Dropbox Community. I'm sorry to see you're having trouble with this. When did you originally sync these files to your Dropbox? And were you able to access and open them before? If you right click on one of those files in your Dropbox folder, do you see a 'make available…
-
Hey @"MWilcox", thanks for coming to our Community with this. Can you let me know what happened, when you renamed the old Dropbox folder on your D drive and tried to move the new one through the preferences? Did you get the same error message, that a Dropbox folder already exists, or was it something else? Also, at the…

Hey @"Sebastian S.13" and @"Crosbie", sorry to jump in here. This is actually a known issue that we're having, and our team is currently looking into it. We'll keep you updated on any new info, once we have it.
