Hey @"Stephermryan", just wanted to clarify a couple of things. What happened after you clicked on the "add to Dropbox" button in the email? Did the folder get added to your Dropbox online, but didn't sync to your computer's Dropbox folder? Do you see the folder in your Shared page and in your All files page?
-
Hey @"Jess51", thanks for the additional info. What's your phone's exact Android version, please? Do you have the Passwords app installed on other devices as well?
-
Sorry to hear about this, @"pavelas". Is your Dropbox folder currently located in your User folder or in ~/Library/CloudStorage?
-
Hey @"billearl", sorry to hear about this. Did you get the chance to look into this with Apple?
-
You followed the steps correctly, @"RJL". Do you see any changes after you did? What's the sync status now?
-
Hi from me as well, @"stephenroberts999"! If you simply hover over the Dropbox icon in your system tray, what's the sync status and version of the app there? Do you see any error messages?
-
Hey @"o12johns", can you check your bandwidth settings, to make sure syncing is not limited?
-
Hey @"sadsad", I'm afraid that if the backup was interrupted and the files never made it to Dropbox, there's no way to restore them from Dropbox. Did you check the backups page that I mentioned before? What do you see there? Have you also checked your Trash, to see if you can find anything?

Hey @"janneman1111", thanks for joining the Dropbox Community. I just tested this on my end and I didn't come across this issue. You're uploading these videos manually through the Dropbox app on your iPhone, right? Can you open the Dropbox app, tap on "account", then on the gear icon and then on "clear cache" to see if…

Hey @"Stanners", thanks for reaching out to us. The situation here is that in Excel, you can create links in a workbook to another workbook or file on your computer using a formula that references an external location. When this link is created, it points to a location on your own hard drive. When your workbook is…

Hey @"JanFrederik", thanks for posting to the Dropbox Community! The option you're seeing in this article, is not for the people who will upload files to the file request, but for the creator of the request. The person who sent you the file request needs to give you the email, basically, you can't generate it yourself. I…

Thanks for keeping us updated on your experience and what has worked for you, @"LummoxJR". Hopefully, this will be useful for other users experiencing this issue as well. If the issue does return, though, let us know.

Hey @"Rellek7", thanks for posting your question to our Community. In understand your Dropbox folder has been moved under Locations. This is what happens with the new version of Dropbox for macOS on File Provider, which moves your Dropbox folder to ~/Library/CloudStorage. You can read more about this change here. If you…

Hey @"Damien C.1", sorry to jump in here. It's actually expected not to receive notifications on the mobile app every time someone adds/edits a file in a shared folder. If you want, as a workaround, you can follow the steps in this article to "follow" the folder; that way, you can receive email notifications for file…

Hey @"kllbrg", I just sent you an email, so we'll continue working on this there.
-
Hey @"Edward H" and @"echomack", if you select the file or folder you want from the "all files" page, then click on the "..." (ellipsis) button on the right and then click on "File/Folder info", are you able to access your tags and add new ones?
-
Sorry to hear about this, @"LummoxJR" and thanks for all the info you gathered. Just to confirm, does the issue go away when the Dropbox app is closed or uninstalled?
-
Hey @"RJL", thanks for posting to the Dropbox Community. At the moment, there's no way to sort files by sync status. Also, regarding the files with the sync icon, can you please hover over the Dropbox icon in your system tray/menu bar, to see the sync status and version of the app itself?
-
Hey @"jtravel", can you give us some more info on your issue? Are you having trouble viewing a document in full screen through your Dropbox iPad app? and why? Have you tried tapping on Account > gear icon > clear cache, to see if that helps?
-
Hey @"cherkcom", thanks for the additional info. Is it possible to also get a screenshot of what they see when they try to accept the folder using a web browser?
-
Hey @"rfilkin", thanks for reaching out to the Dropbox Community and sorry to see you're having issues. If you're updating a file through the Dropbox folder on your computer and the updates are not showing up either on the mobile app or on the website, it sounds like the Dropbox app on your computer is not syncing the…

No worries, @"IsaacRaphael"! It looks like this pop-up is coming from a site called Dropgalaxy, and not Dropbox. I hope this helps!

Hey Nick, happy Monday! Did the files you added in the "Family" folder get a chance to finish syncing, before you switched the folder to online-only? When you right-click a folder to make it online-only, indeed, all the files and subfolders in it will become online-only, but only after they've finished uploading/syncing.…

Hey @"RCugs"! If you're accessing our Community through your phone, try requesting the desktop version of the site; this will allow you to upload a screenshot to your next response, by clicking on the camera icon above the reply box.
-
Thanks for the screenshots, @"M1207"! Do you get the same behavior when you try from other browsers or a private browsing window as well?
-
Thanks for the screenshot, Claire! Have you tried manually signing out of the Dropbox application on that computer, to see if that helps?
-
Happy to help, John! If you need anything else, please let us know. Have a wonderful weekend!

Hey @"Pecan111", if you were threatened after clicking on a link in your Instagram account, it sounds like your Instagram account might be compromised. Have you checked for any suspicious logins? Try resetting your Instagram password for good measure, and delete the link from your bio, if that's where you saw it. But I'm…

Hey @"DavidNeedsHelp", welcome to our Community! When it comes to email notifications, the only email that the folder members will receive, is a weekly digest one regarding updates on the folder. If you want to receive an email notification each time a file is added, you can ask your folder members to follow the folder. I…

Thanks for the update, @"Stvno". Do the names of the files that are missing from your Dropbox folder have any of the characters in this article? If not, open the Dropbox app's preferences and go to the "Sync" tab > "Select folders to sync to this Mac", to see if you can find the missing folders there.
