Hey @"cherkcom", sorry to hear that. Are all your recipients opening and having this issue with the Dropbox mobile app? Or on the website as well?
-
Thanks for that, @"nothanksm8". I see a lot of uploading and downloading happening at the moment, so I would suggest allowing that to finish first. Does it look like it's progressing as normal? Or is it stuck?
-
Hey @"David125", since we understood that your comments were feedback on an existing feature, we moved the post to the "support" section of the Community, let's say. But your comments have already been passed along to our team. Thanks!

Hey @"wingrunner", if you navigate to Paper through the waffle menu option, are you able to create new docs from there and see where they're saved?
-
Hi again, Nick! Indeed, the Dropbox application doesn't have a full blown interface, like other apps; just the Dropbox folder and the menu, which you can access from the Dropbox icon in your system tray. As for the storage space, when you manually add files to the Dropbox folder, they will initially need to take up space…

Hey @"JohnDeLange", thanks for posting to our Community again. Do you mean that you'd only like to store files in your Dropbox account and have them on our servers, but not access them from your devices? I guess that would be possible if you stopped using our applications or our website. But keep in mind that if you do not…

Hey @"Black_Cat", thanks for posting your question. Can you let us know why you'd like to delete the .plist file? Unless you have an issue with the desktop app, I would advise you not to delete it. But if you do have an issue with the app, please let us know, so we can assist you further. Thanks.

Hey @"Edward H", thanks for reaching out to the Dropbox Community and happy Friday! I see that you're currently on the Photos page. Can you go to the All files page instead and let me know if you see the option there? Cheers!
-
Hey @"Miami", thanks for reaching out to our Community. I'm really sorry to hear about your health.. I hope you feel much better soon. If you'd like to download your Dropbox files, you can do so by following the steps in this article. Once that's done, you can delete your account with these steps. I hope this helps, but if…

Thanks for the screenshot. Is this the same thing that you see when you login to your account online and go to the "devices" section in your security page?
-
Hey @"Dark Vader", can you change your plan to Dropbox Family through this page?
-
Hey @"Stvno", signing out of the app and then signing back in, wouldn't cause your files to stop syncing, but we'll get to the bottom of this. What is the sync status of the app right now, when you hover over the Dropbox icon in your menu bar?
-
I see, that's for this additional info here! If you see an option to join the folder, it means you're not a member of the folder at all. The "shared" page will show you both the folders you're a member of an the ones you've been invited to, but haven't joined. I'm afraid that unless the people who invited you retract the…
-
Hey @"Nick390", thanks for reaching out again. Do you see a small Dropbox icon in your system tray, by the clock? That's where you can access the Dropbox application from. From there you can access the preferences and the Dropbox folder itself, which should also be in your file explorer along with all your Dropbox files. I…

Sorry to hear that, @"ArcticAnna". Have you taken a look at this article, to see if you can find any helpful info?
-
Sure thing, @"Krapomatic". If that's the case, you should be able to erase them, just like you would with any other folder. If you want, you can first remove any members on them as well. I hope this helps!
-
Hey Dimitri, Indeed, you’ll no longer be able to open Office files in Google Drive in Dropbox. If you had Google files, you would be able to move them to Google Drive, where they'd be replaced in Dropbox with shortcuts. Unfortunately, we can't speak for our Product teams on partnerships, but we appreciate your feedback and…

CloudStorage is the location of the Dropbox folder if you have the new Dropbox for macOS version for File Provider. I'm afraid the location cannot be changed. This should be your working Dropbox folder. Is it working correctly otherwise? If you add files to it, do they sync to your account online?
-
Hey @"vicsver13", thanks for reaching out to the Dropbox Community. If your account is full due to backup files, you can see and delete them here. And if you need some additional space, take a look at this article for more info.
-
Hey @"ABL_2400", thanks for posting your question today! If the admin of the Dropbox Business team removes you from the team by converting your account back to an individual (Basic) one, you can absolutely re-upgrade your account afterwards. Especially if the account is over its quota after downgrading, you can simply…

Hey @"Krapomatic", thanks for reaching out to the Dropbox Community. Are you the owner of those shared folders? And do you need to erase them only from your account or remove them from the other members' accounts as well? Let me know.
-
Hey @"dimitrievenflow", thanks for reaching out to us. To clarify this message, as the article states "If your team has created any Google Docs, Sheets, or Slides on dropbox.com, they’ll need to choose whether to move their files to Google Drive or convert them to the Microsoft Office equivalents". So, basically, this…

I understand where you're coming from, @"aasedler", and we'll try our best to figure this out together. To rule out the possibility of this happening due to unauthorized activity, what you can check, is the Security page in your account settings. Do you see any web sessions of devices linked to the account that are not…

Thanks for the update, @"nothanksm8". What's the syncing status of the app at the moment? Has it finished syncing? And if you hover over the Dropbox icon in your menu bar, which version do you see?
-
Hmm, pretty strange situation, indeed, Mary Ann. However, since the file can be opened directly from the Dropbox folder, I don't think it has to do with Dropbox at this point. I see that the file is pinned in the Excel app, right? If you unpin it and then pin the correct file, what do you see? If that doesn't work, I think…
-
Hey @"aasedler", the person that somehow became the owner of the folder and reached out to our support team, would have received an email with the chat transcript and a ticket number to the address associated with their account. Furthermore, a workaround to this would be to create a new copy of the original folder in your…

Thanks for letting us know, @"Phil B 2". If the member with edit permissions signs in to their account from a different browser or a private browsing window, do they see the same thing?
-
Hey @"Photo O.", I understand where you're coming from. We really do appreciate your feedback on this and our team will take your comments into consideration. If you have any suggestions for new features, you can always use our ideas board.
-
Oh, I see, thanks for clarifying, Jenny. It seems like your sharing activity has been temporarily suspended, which usually lasts 24 hours, if it's the first time. You can read more about it and why it happened here.
-
Hmm, if you just close the app completely, and try to create a folder in the Dropbox folder, do you still see the same thing?
