I'm happy to hear that helped @"JOfE"! Since you mentioned never sharing the folders, if you created them via the website, is it possible you chose to create a new shared folder rather than a normal folder? Otherwise, I'm quite stumped as to why they appear as a shared folder if you never chose to share them with others.
-
Hey @"SPZC", thanks for reaching out to us here! Through the command line you'll only be able to share with a shared link. You can find more info on the command here. This will only allow them view and download access to the file, so if you need to add them with editing access, you'll need to go through the website instead…

Creating a ticket with our Support team will help us with investigating the issue @"Rudi B Rasmussen". You can check out your Support options from here to reach out, but if you have any trouble with this, don't hesitate to give me a shout here - thanks!

You should be able to attach the screenshot using the camera icon just above the reply box here @"reagananthony78". Also, could you try these steps to see if we can reset the folder paths a different way?* Click the Dropbox icon in your system tray. * Click the profile pic/initials icon in the top right of the window. *…

Thanks for your updates! @Immortaleye, I've just sent you a brief message, so please check your inbox when you have the time. I'm glad to hear that @"mm-nyc"! If you have any other trouble with this, don't hesitate to give me a nudge here.
-
Hey @"JOfE"! Could you just check for me, if you select one of these folders and choose the "Share" option, and then click the gear icon in the top right corner, do you see an option to "Unshare folder" in the bottom left of the window?
-
Thanks for getting back to us here @"babadb". It would be helpful to troubleshoot the issue since I wasn't able to replicate the behaviour you mentioned, and there are many factors that could potentially be causing this. Did you have the chance to try what Walter suggested previously?
-
Thanks for those screenshots, it's very helpful indeed @"li123". From what I could see in the folder you're having this issue with, it seems this is because the images 101 - 160 have the same date (1991-05-26) as the images up to number 40. The images 41 and after have a different date which is the reason why they come…
-
Hey @"li123", I hope you're having a good day! Just to make sure we're on the same page, can you let me know where you're checking your files from? Eg. the mobile app, desktop app or website. You should be able to click the "Name" column header to make sure that you're sorting by naming order, does this make any…

So that we can have a look into this in more detail, we'd need to continue through our Support channel alongside some device specific info. If you haven't already reached out to the team, would you mind if I reach out directly to the email linked with your profiles here @"DiggerDawson" and @"Immortaleye"?
-
Thanks for getting back to me here @"davidwh"! Before you open the files, are they already stored locally on your computer, or are they synced as "online only"? You can confirm this with the sync icon next to the file if you're not familiar. Also, are you opening the files by navigating to them in the Dropbox folder and…
-
Thanks for joining the discussion @"davidwh". Just to have a better idea of your setup, please let me know the following:* The version of the desktop app you have installed. * The version of the Microsoft Office apps. * Your device's OS and version. Also, just to confirm, are you seeing a slight delay in the files syncing…

Glad we could help out @"David Noone"! If you need anything else, I'll be just a post away. 😀 Hope you have a great week ahead!
-
You don't need to remove the Dropbox folder too, just the app @"KBE". You should be fine to go ahead with installing the app again now.
-
You should be able to change the settings of your Quick Access panel with the steps outlined here, @"David Noone". Let me know if that does the trick!
-
I'm glad to hear that worked for you @"Angelo326"! Feel free to give me a shout if you have any other questions. 😀 Hope you have a great weekend ahead!
-
I see, thanks for clarifying @"KBE". Could you try doing a basic reinstall of the app to see if that does the trick? You can check out the steps for uninstalling here if you're not familiar. Please bear in mind the 3 device limit if you're using a Basic free account, so if you have more than 3 devices currently connected…
-
If you wanted to keep those files in Dropbox for now, then you should be all set @"sherronnebattle"! Otherwise, if you want to remove some of the files that were backed up from those folders, you can just move them out of the folder in Dropbox. Nothing will be backed up automatically now though, so your browser downloads…
-
Hi @"KBE", I hope you're having a good day! Have you tried clicking the "Don’t show this to me again" option before clicking "Not now", to prevent the pop-up from appearing again? You will have the option to change this setting any anytime through your computer's settings with these steps afterwards, should you want to.…
-
Glad to hear that helped @"Uncleants". Keep me posted if you have any other trouble with this!
-
Hey @"Angelo326"! Could you try out these steps to see if that does the trick? Let me know how it goes!
-
Thanks for joining us here @"Uncleants"! Can you try disabling Dropbox as a location within the Files app, and re-enabling it? You can check out the exact steps here.
-
Thanks for getting back to me here @"wadeg". To open up the app, can you just right click any file/folder within the Dropbox folder, and choose "View in Dropbox"? Otherwise, if you have the app pinned to the Dock you can try launch it from there. Does this folder happen to be a computer backup folder named "My Mac", at…
-
Would you mind sending a screenshot of what you see when you try and edit the file @"AdamFerg"? Even perhaps a short screen recording. Also, you should be able to open the file in other apps, like Pages, by exporting with these steps. If you try exporting the file to Pages, or another app, do you have the same trouble…
-
Hi @"wadeg", thanks for reaching out to us here! When you check the folder in the desktop app interface, what sync icon do you see next to the folder? If you right click the folder from there, and choose "View in Finder", does this bring up the folder in the Finder window for you? Let me know what you find!
-
Awesome, thanks for checking that @"Firebrand01". The next time that you see the other icons showing on your files, instead of the green ticks, can you click this Dropbox icon again to check what the app is reporting?
-
The Dropbox icon is hiding away in your system tray just here: If you click or hover over this, what does it show?
-
Hmmm, I see, thanks for the screenshot @"Firebrand01", these green ticks do look like the Dropbox sync icons. While you don't need to open and interact with the app, when it's running you should see a Dropbox icon in your system tray (next to the date/time display), which will show the sync status as it sync your files in…
-
I'm glad I could help out with this @"Babe Mooney"! If you need anything else, don't hesitate to drop me a message here. 😀 I hope you have a great rest of your day!
-
When you see the green tick icons, could you send me a screenshot of how that looks? If you don't use the Dropbox desktop app, then you wouldn't be seeing any sync icons on your files, as these only show when the app is running on your computer. Is it possible you have another sync service running on your computer?
