@"ojnet" wrote:There are reports above that even on the 10 user plan it is not solved. I can't find anywhere that says you get unlimited on 10 user plan. There are 3 types of API and the one that seems to be affecting it is "Data Transport Provider API" which funnily enough only affects paid business accounts (??). Have a…

s @"ojnet" wrote:It's so sad this situation - the API limit is just too small. No news from the Dropbox Team on this either. Maybe one day it will appear in their Management Teams graphs showing loss of loyal customers and they will realise what has happened and react. Yes. very sad. Support is very limited on this issue,…

@"AgileLens" wrote:Same problem as everyone else. Also, somehow I was never alerted about the API call limit while I was testing out the trial. Literally got the message about being 'almost out of API calls' a couple hours after comitting to a subscription. Very dissatisfied. Has been a nightmare the 3 last days with the…

I have several clients with Synology NAS and Dropbox sync. Today one of the client received the email regarding the API calls limit has been reached 80%. 30 minutes later, the 100% api call limits has been reached so I understand the Synology will be unable to sync with the Cloud until December 01. OMG. I check the…

I have about 10 SMB clients with Synology NAS servers in sync with Dropbox since a couple of years now. Has been working nice but today I get the message about the API limit. OMG what's this? how we explain this issue to our client? This is non sense!

Most browsers have configuration available already for that. You can specify where do you want to put files you download. For example, in Chrome: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95759?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&hl=en

There are a number of file transfer services that efficiently handle large files. But this special services use architecture, platform and transport technology normally designed for big companies like ESPN, TV News, Big CAD corporates, etc. are really expensive. Signiant and Aspera both offer, for example, such services,…

Richard. You are correct. There is 4 options for file download: * Client. Install the client. Dropbox client will download the folders and files. * Link. Like you explained: Add the file to the Public folder. Using explorer generate a link. Share the link with the recipient. * Download from the Website. * Share the file…

I asked Dropbox support for help on this, but didn't get a response. Do you follow up your ticket on Zendesk? Open your ticket in this link: https://www.dropbox.com/support Track your ticket in this link: https://dropbox.zendesk.com Replies take approximately 1 - 3 business days with Pro users getting priority (longer for…

Hi Richard. You must understand a 100GB file is a huge, big file. The same if you get your own Exchange Email server and you want to transfer a 200MB email. You will just have issues. There is tons of factor for high size file transfers. You can control perhaps your environment but you cannot control your client network…

100GB is a big file for sure. Why you just don't split the file in 4.7GB chunks using Winrar or similar program? Will be more easy for upload / download. My 2 cents.

Trine. Install Dropbox in your computer. Use your login credentials. At the end, Dropbox will download your cloud content to your computer.

As Rich says: install the client in your PC. Files will start to download in the background.

@Mel: Why you don't create different shares. For example: a share for accounting department, a share for legal department, a share por HR, a share for IT, a share for sales, etc.

Yes. If you have a folder named folderX and inside this folder you have folder1, folder2 and folder3, all users with access to folderX will have access to Folder1,2 and 3 and the contents of all this folders. Subfolders inherit permissions from the top folder.

Hola Fernando.

why you don't put the files you want to share in a folder, compress the folder in ZIP or RAR and just share the ZIP or RAR file? Or create a folder, move files you want to share to this folder and share the full folder?

@Keith. I myself don't like the recent files feature in my Mobile. I don't use the web GUI too much, I normally access my files via our computers or smartphone. In my computer, I have direct access to my files. In my Android devices, I need to go back to my files (again, I don't like the Recent file features, not useful…

I don't like the fact that the default page is "recent files" Recent files can be turned off for Dropbox Webpage on Dropbox Settings in https://www.dropbox.com/account This is a user supported forum. You can open a ticket with DB if you want to report an issue or a new feature request. But we all want more customization…

If the account is shared between several users, they they all will have access to everything. I fear the only way you can keep a folder secure and away from other users eyes is by encrypting it. Boxcryptor do this work and is free up to some size (If I remember well, up to 2GB is free). It's very easy to use: - create an…

Another option I want to share with you. You can install BoxCryptor (free up to 2GB) for your dropbox. Boxcryptor create an encrypted folder. You can access the specified folder only if you have the password. https://www.boxcryptor.com/en
