Does Dropbox take up hard drive space on my computer?
Why does Dropbox store all of its files in my "User" folder on my hard drive? The whole point of using Dropbox was to keep my hard drive free of all the files. I'm now out of disk space due to the Dropbox files.

For security reasons I've temporarily unlinked my computer from dropbox. Now I want to relink it but my computer is not shown in the list of devices in the security section of my dropbox account. Why are my files taking so long to upload.
I've used 45gb of my 100 without issue. I've uploaded folders of 20gb in 3-4 hours. Trying to upload a folder that is 30gb. It is taking 24 hours. What is wrong? Windows 8.1.
