@Jay to help you better understand what I mean, I’ll give you an example, including some screenshots. By clicking on a link created with DropBox Transfer, you land here. Up to this point, it’s fairly clear: you need to click on “Download all”. However, once you click there… On this second screen, everything becomes much…

I’ve just updated to Mac OS Tahoe and had no issues at all. That’s great, I’m really glad DropBox was ready this time. 😊👋🏼
-
It’s been almost two weeks. Could you let me know what the situation is? Are there still issues with Tahoe, or have they been resolved? Could you provide an update? Thank you.
-
@"Theodore S.1" do you mean that the latest version of DropBox isn’t compatible? That it doesn’t work? Please explain better. I’m one of those holding off on updating, and only because I’m worried that DropBox might cause me problems, as it already did some years ago. All the other applications never give me any trouble –…

At this point, it might as well make sense to create parallel folders within Dropbox and occasionally move the files created on the various Desktops of the different devices (in my case, there are two: a desktop Mac and a MacBook). It’s a shame there isn’t a specific tool for this, though – it seems like such a simple…
-
I’ve never tried that feature before, but I’m not sure it’s ideal in my case after reading your comment. Perhaps I’ve just misunderstood? I need something that’s a sort of middle ground between a backup folder and a synchronised folder.

This morning, my Mac Mini Pro arrived, and with the excitement of something new, I had to go through a migration. I preemptively added Dropbox among the Firewall permissions and activated all the usual consents. It worked with Mac OS Sequoia 15.1, so I’d say it’s functioning. But, as usual, the process was a nightmare, and…

@"DBX_Pedro"is there any news? I think it's been a month since I created this thread, and I still haven't understood what’s going on. All I know is that, out of everyone I know, I’m the only one who still hasn’t upgraded to Sequoia because of my Dropbox subscription.
-
The existence of a beta is encouraging. It's ridiculous to ask us users to test it, though.
-
Unbelievable... I'm glad I waited and didn’t update. It’s devastating to know that the Dropbox developers are aware of the issue and there’s no solution yet. Absolutely crazy. Sequoia has been in beta for months and months. Are they kidding?
-
It's been two weeks, and still no news. What a way to treat customers, honestly. I understand a misjudgment can happen once, but twice? It can only mean that Apple users are not a priority for Dropbox.
-
@"DBX_Pedro"I see you’re helping everyone, except for me, who started this thread. You replied days ago saying you would ask the engineers if Dropbox is compatible with Sequoia. I’m still waiting for a response! I want to provide an update, but I can’t do it without confirmation. Thank you!
-
A week has passed, and I still haven't figured out if DropBox is compatible with Sequoia or if it's just a matter of luck.
-
Still no feedback here. Why treat users like this? Isn’t there some form of respect for customers in the US? Isn’t there some kind of customer care? Just let me know if it’s compatible or not, so I can proceed with the upgrade.
-
@"zmre"so you're saying that the trend with Dropbox is to start working on new operating systems only once they're launched on the market, rather than during the beta versions?
-
@"DBX_Pedro"have you received any feedback by any chance? I’m more interested in official feedback rather than user comments. Thanks!
-
Why did you do it? Are you an incurable optimist or just a thrill-seeker?
-
@"Mark" I understand you want to justify things, and that's fair enough, especially when in doubt. However, let me say that a large company like Dropbox, after the mess that happened last year, shouldn't be able to avoid reassuring users about the launch of Sequoia. By now, something should have leaked out to reassure…
-
I tested the speed using iStat Menu 7, always measuring in MB/s. So I really don't understand your comment.
-
With the newly taken screenshot in hand, could you confirm that I can safely delete that copy made by Dropbox, which, as stated in the previous screenshot, has been unchanged since November 2023?
-
Hmm, hate to rain on the parade, but that's something I've already tried. Unfortunately, it doesn't work. Dropbox doesn't have that kind of "power." Maybe iCloud Drive does. But definitely not Dropbox. Don't ask me why.
-
@"Teddy73" did you previously fix the issue in this way?
-
@"OceanSunrise" I didn't uninstall DropBox. Just unlink the account.
-
With pleasure, I announce that I have finally resolved the issue. After postponing it for weeks and weeks, I ultimately decided to follow the procedure that was recommended to me (to be honest) from the very first day through Dropbox support, and that, after about a month, was suggested to me again, also through Dropbox…
-
I truly appreciate the goodwill of those trying to solve the problem in rather creative ways, with the help of Dropbox itself. But hey, some of us are paying not to have any hassles. How can we ask people to carry out partially complex operations with not insignificant risks? I'll repeat, we're talking about our documents…
-
@"Roberto B.9" the process for unlink your device essentially involves logging out and then logging back in through the preferences of the Dropbox app on your Mac.
-
@"FrankieAnn" in my case as well, email support suggested that I log out and then log back in, taking care to create a backup of unsynchronized files and being prepared for the possibility of momentary conflict copies. How did it go in your situation? At this point, it remains to be understood how to obtain a list of…
-
@"Foxapet" thank you for reinforcing the message. I'll add another point, while we're at it. As suggested, three days ago, I reached out to customer support regarding a single issue, hoping for a resolution. The person I spoke to was very kind. They acknowledged that the problem is, of course, known. After the customary…
-
@"BenDBX" I'm sorry to ask, but does the engineering team have any apologies for us? Dropbox has left us in the lurch for a month now, and so far, it seems like no one has wanted to apologize for the damage caused. We're talking about a month without me personally being able to use my paid subscription. This is quite…
-
@"BenDBX" this is simply not true. I'm on MacOS Sonoma 14.1 now and the situation didn't change.
