  • Here is the official list of all things that may originate from Dropbox. https://help.dropbox.com/security/official-domains
  • Erica, Make sure the message is about your Dropbox space and not the hard drive space on your computer being low. There have been a lot of those lately.
  • I have also seen the message Dropbox is not linked to an account. In my case it came from our Internet connection being offline. For some reason the Mac didn't connect to the airport like it should have. Once I fixed the WiFi issue, Dropbox was able to start properly. After it successfully connects to the servers the…
  • You should not select the Dropbox folder but the folder you wish Dropbox to be placed in. Then it will be installed in that folder. If its on a 2nd drive and not in a folder, simply select the Drive in the chooser window. At least this is what I am thinking based upon your post. I made this same issue at first when trying…
  • They know about it already. Patience is best. https://status.dropbox.com - Read the message on the screen.
  • We try to help as much as possible (Super Users and users in general). Super Users are but users just like yourself, and we spend a fair amount of time here helping others. You did post to the User to User forums. With just a splash of staff here and there. Having said all that, I have started seeing more and more staff…
  • @Rick G. I am just a user like yourself and have no inner knowledge of the staffs plans. I would only learn of ways to disable it from other users or my experience with my own account. I merely provided a best work around to the user, to get back to the old web view. I have, as of yet found no way to disable it. I…
  • Click the link on the left side that says "files" you will see the old view. Its the first item under recents. If you do not see it, then I suspect it is a browser rendering issue. Please try another browser.
  • Place the folders, in the Dropbox folder on your computer, they will be uploaded just like individual files. https://help.dropbox.com/syncing-uploads/sync-time
  • Best bet would be to ask support directly. https://dropbox.com/support
  • @Stephan @Bob I use Klammer to open my mail files. https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/klammer/id386777877?mt=8 It is a paid app, so if you don't think .99¢ is worth it, you may wish to look elsewhere. It can also open various Windows email file types according to the app store. I however cannot speak to that as I have not…
  • Dropbox does not have phone support *, its either here or through the ticket system. * Phone support is available for business customers whom are paying for business rate plan. No they also do not accept onetime support payments. You can always explain here and we can try to help you as best as possible. Many of us have…
  • It may have been your client updated on the computer. Often when this occurs a reindex happens. What that is the client compares all the files to those on the server, making sure they are indeed on the client. It appears as a full upload is occurring, but its just sending small bits of comparison data and should finish…
  • You cannot disable updates.
  • What you may be seeing is that the LAN sync is working, but the file is being checked against the database online. I often see it checking against the database. Usually the inly time I ever actually notice LAN sync in the UI is when its a larger file type. * Also the file is first verified to exist online and only then is…
