@"Здравко" wrote:Support is not need. You're confusing support from a technology standpoint (Product A working with Product B) and support from a business standpoint (Company A saying "No, we don't allow that."). Dropbox never officially supported Dropbox being used in such a configuration. They didn't design it to work…

@"chasDSO" wrote:'..There is no common format that is supported on each operating system....' That post doesn't make sense. In terms of Dropbox, yes, it does. Dropbox does not support NTFS for Linux, anything other than NTFS for Windows, etc. Are there workarounds? Yes, apparently, but that doesn't make my comment invalid.…

@"altofocus" wrote:So in short I need multiple units to upload via FTP to Dropbox. ... What is the best way to do this? In short, you can't with Dropbox. There is no way to directly connect to Dropbox using FTP. It's simply not a support protocol. You can do it if you have a computer that you can leave on all the time.…

@"GEGJr" wrote: Again, you don't work for Dropbox so I'm not really asking you. Then you need to contact Support and ask them directly as this is primarily a user-to-user platform. The Dropboxers that do respond here are generally not part of the product teams and wouldn't have such answers.

@"GEGJr" wrote: And, why doesn't Dropbox do what they need to do to get Samsung to restore the functionality? They already did. They made the API available to anyone that wants to use it. They can't force Samsung to use it. As to why Samsung doesn't support Dropbox anymore... you'd have to ask them.

They didn't go back to the older API. They simply never updated their apps to use the new API. When the old API was retired, they could no longer integrate with Dropbox without updating their apps to using the new API.

A preview is a download. You might not be explicitly requesting to download a file, but anything you view online is downloaded to your computer. It's just saved in your browser's cache. It may be a preview copy, meaning of lower quality, smaller, etc., but it's still a version of the file. You can't view anything online…

Eso es correcto. Si baja la suscripción ahora, simplemente cancelará la renovación automática. Mantendrás los beneficios de la cuenta hasta septiembre.

For those of you on older iPads, remember that the Dropbox app now requires iOS 10, and older versions of the Dropbox app that would previously connect to Dropbox are being blocked as they are no longer compatible with the service. So for some of you, this isn't a case of a simple problem that can be resolved, and is, in…

anonymous wrote: I thought you could still use dropbox on windows 10. You can, but you also said "Windows 10s" which is different. Windows 10 in S mode doesn't allow desktop applications. @"spedwig" wrote:Except for looking at file thumbnails in Finder... which is all I'm trying to do in Bridge, which then downloads the whole file. And as I stated earlier, why it does that is a question for Adobe. Dropbox simply downloads the file because Bridge is requesting it. It has no control over the functions within…

It's pretty simple... anything that needs to access a file, whether it's you opening it, a backup process, virus scan, etc., will cause Dropbox to download the file and mark it as Local.

@"spedwig" wrote:you're saying here that merely viewing filenames or image thumbnails in a Bridge window causes a download? Depends on what Bridge is trying to do with the file. Obviously it's trying to access the files in a way that is causing it to download and be marked as Local again. Why? You'd have to ask Adobe that.

Dropbox Support does not work weekends. You'll need to wait until they're open again during normal business hours, keeping in mind that Monday is a holiday in the US as well. Also, PLEASE stop posting your email address on this public forum. It's a security risk.

In the case of any inactivity, your account would sit idle for appoximately one year. After one year of inactivity, your account would be deleted. Dropbox would first try to contact you at the email address associated with your account and warn you of the impending deletion, and then the account would be deleted a short…

As this is a third-party application that uses the Dropbox API, you'll need to contact Mathworks for support. Dropbox will have no control over how the Matlab application saves files to your account, and there are no options on the Dropbox side to control that.

The only solution will be to have everyone move their Dropbox folder to a common location, such as C:\Dropbox, and ensure that they haven't moved or renamed the shared folders where these files exist (a user can move or rename a share and it only applies for them). If everyone does that, the links would be the same for…
