Amen to that!

No there was no communication about this. I figured it out when I had to take a deep dive when it appeared that one of my technology inept clients it SEEMED had not downloaded some urgent time-sensitive files…and so before I shamed them for not downloading them [because ya know…I didn't receive a notification like I have…

Hi Neal, I chatted with Lindsay at Dropbox about this same issue 2 days ago. Reviewing all of my recent transfers, something changed at the beginning of August, at least for me despite what I am told, and now having to manually ACTIVATE turning ON notifications for each Transfer is senseless. It should be a setting to…

Thank you Thank you THANK YOU!!! I just went to send a bunch of files to clients after an all-night work session...and it was back to the previous interface!! Nice and fast...no animation. Thank you so much for rolling it back to the fast no-nonsense Transfer GUI. I really appreciate. -Ben

Hi Megan- One more detail I noticed last night. It is also evident that the animation duration is unnecessary because I consistently get my email notification that I have created a new transfer 5 seconds BEFORE the package loading animation is completed in the Transfer window. That means that dropbox is sending out an…

Hi- I would also like to add that I observed my network activity activity when I clicked on the "Create Link" button in the Transfer app window. There was no data being uploaded or downloaded from my computer. This is because I already have the files synced to the Dropbox cloud. There is a 12-15 second amimation waiting…

Hi Megan- I made a quick screen recording demonstrating EXACTLY what the issue is: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/2uq4clj36q2ye1gl5ro01/Screen-Recording-2025-04-24-at-1.11.39-AM.mov?rlkey=ng7wmyvfdrcg15m7b6322b06c&dl=0

The website does not do the new "silly" animation with the Package/Present being wrapped up with a bow on top. The website looks more like how the Desktop Transfer App used to look up until a couple of weeks ago. I have 1000 mb/s upload and download. There is nothing about my network connection that is causing this issue.…

And also to clarify...this is not to upload the files. The files are already uploaded as indicated by the green checkmark. This is once already in the Transfer App, and just waiting for the link to be created.

About 4 seconds for a very small file. About 15 seconds for a 250MB file. I don't know about the website...I never use it.

Dropbox is AGAIN silently quitting a few times per day for the last 2 or 3 days. It was working PERFECTLY when it was on version 219.4.4463. Mine is now on version 220.4.4126 and as I said, it has closed itself down at least twice in the last 24 hours with no crash log or notification of any kind. I wonder what has changed…

I just finished an 18 hour work day...and DropBox did not crash once today! I noticed on the menu bar, after hovering over the DropBox icon that the software version changed. Mine is now at Ver 219.4.4463 When I posted in this forum 3 days ago, it was at Ver. 218.4.4348. Fingers crossed that perhaps the new version that…

I have been experiencing this over the past month. Dropbox is quietly crashing/quitting/closing. I use Dropbox desktop all day long. I will go to drag files into my folder, and then expect to get the Green Check Mark indicating it is uploaded...and all of those icons are missing. I then look up to the menu bar and the…
