Hi everyone, I just wanted to chime in and let you all know we're still looking into this but one of the solutions we found for Norton users is to go to Security > Advanced > Smart Firewall and change the Default Rule: Action from Smart Mode to Allow (screenshot below).

Hi @"hannaheagle", I just wanted to step in and check something with you. I had one of our team take a look at your account and by the looks of it, the 8gb folder in question is no longer shared with you. I'm wondering when you clicked "Remove me", if it actually worked but that error message popped up mistakenly. Could…

Hi @"Keturi", Thanks for reporting this to us, I understand just how frustrating something like this can be. Could you let me know exactly which position that you were applying for so I can look into this?
-
HI Barrylsakson, Thanks for submitting your idea. So an icon/shortcut on your iOS home screen that takes you to an offline Dropbox folder? Sounds good, lets get the community to weigh in!
-
Hi pwkox171, Thanks for submitting such a detailed idea. I can appreciate how this would help a lot of photographers using Dropbox. I've opened this up for votes so the community can weigh in.

Hi @"dropce", Thanks for sharing your concerns, I completely get where you're coming from as this has the potential to cause a lot of needless hassle. This issue has popped up a few times and I've reached out to the relevant parties within Dropbox to review this. As soon as I have any updates to share, I'll let you know!

Hi @"Jeggi", Thanks for reaching out on the Community. Unfortunately root folder names for business accounts can not be updated. You can however could on your own add a symlink that doesn’t have the space. e.g. ln -s '/home/username/Business Name Dropbox' '/home/username/BusinessNameDropbox' I hope this helps!
-
Hi @"avatar382"! Thanks for posting on the Dropbox Forum and for sharing your feedback! I've shared this with the relevant teams who said they're still trying to strike the correct balance with the pop up behavior. I've asked them specifically to take a look at your account to see there is a reason you're seeing an…

Hi @"wendivad", Thanks for sharing your idea. I just wanted to touch base with you yo let you know that unfortunately "Online Only" files are currently not possible for Linux/Ubuntu. Thank you so much for confirming @"cortig"! And I'm glad to hear that there's no issues!
-
Hi @"Sascha F.", Just wanted to direct your attention to my reply to @"postnumbers" in case this clears things up for you as well. Unless you're noticing any actual performance issues.
-
That is absolutely more than fair @"postnumbers"! Better to be safe than sorry, I completely understand! Well hopefully in the meantime, some other users can weigh in on this to let us know their experience. Have you noticed any issues @"cortig"?
-
Hi @"postnumbers", Thanks for responding! I just wanted to clear something up. It looks like you're checking this using Furbo. That tool looks up what version of Electron we're using and infers from the version that our app will cause the Tahoe performance issue, but we patched our Electron fork to address the issue, so…

Thanks for confirming @"TrulyPotato"! That will make the process go a lot smoother! Now lets focus on getting some votes! 🤞

Sorry again everyone, can you all confirm what plans you're on as well for each service? I only ask as each plan gives access to different features and as stated below, there are a few features in each product that could potentially be causing this issue.

Hi @"Nostromo99", As I mentioned earlier, we are actively investigating this and we need some follow up information. Could you reply to me and let me know if you are using Avast or Norton and specifically what version of each are you using. Thanks!

Hi @"Nostromo99", I appreciate the apology but there's no need! I completely get the frustration when things like this happen! I can't say for definite if I'd be any different 😅 I'll be keeping an eye on the investigation and posting updates as soon as I have them. In the meantime, here is the results of some of our…

Hi everyone! Thanks for reporting this to the Community. In the meantime, I have actually been collecting all of the reports of this across the community and and Reddit as well, to put together a cohesive report for our internal team. This is now being looked into and hopefully we will have a fix soon. In the meantime,…

Hi gabe-babish, That's a fair suggestion. Keeping all the comments available would be quite handy. I've moved this to Open so the rest of the community can vote on it.

Hi wenner! Thanks for posting another idea! Agreed, that functionality would be quite handy! Let's try and get some votes!
