Thanks for reporting this on our forum, @"Skarcio"! This is interesting, indeed. Are you encountering the same thing from different browsers or an incognito window? What if you click on the folders appearing in the sidebar? Can you see their contents then or do they still show blank? Keep me posted for more updates.
-
@"Scanmaster", can you send over the ticket number you should’ve received after submitting your support request? I’d like to locate it in our system and see if I can leave an internal note for our team to see and further help.
-
Hey all! Can you make sure you’re running the latest v378 app version and let me know if the issue persists?
-
Hey @"MustangSally ". The system tray is located at the bottom right part of your screen, where your clock settings should be showing. There should be a small Dropbox icon there.
-
Hi @"ZGM", and thanks for posting about this on our Community. I’ve gone ahead and forwarded your feedback to our team directly. This way, they can see your comments here. Feel free to give me a nudge for anything else.
-
Hi @"Xariel", welcome to our Community! What you mention is quite odd indeed. Can you send me a screenshot showing the two Dropbox folders you see with their syncing icons? What’s their filepath on your computer? I’d also like to know the syncing status and app version of the Dropbox app there. Keep me posted.
-
Hmm, I see. Can you quit the Dropbox app as the next step, restart your computer and then relaunch Dropbox, as well? Is the app still stuck syncing those two files? Please also make sure that your Dropbox app has full-disk access (by following these steps).
-
Hi again, Duncan! One more thing I wanted to ask before taking you to email; have you also tried these steps to restart your Finder? Do they help at all?
-
Welcome to our Community, @"bmers"! Hope you’re doing well. Have you checked your Dropbox app’s Sync history and Activity tabs? If you open your Finder > Dropbox folder, do you see any files/folders with a rotating syncing icon? Let me know what you find.
-
Hey @"Ripples88". The Dropbox website doesn’t show any syncing icons anyways, so it’s normal to not see any there. Regarding your desktop app though; are you seeing the Dropbox icon in your system tray? Can you let me know your app’s version and its syncing status?
-
Thanks for your post, @"Film Rescue". Just to clarify, is the option missing from the context menu on your desktop app? Can you send over a screenshot showing where you were previously seeing the "send a copy" button exactly? Finally, is this the only option you’re missing from your Dropbox account? Let me know, and we’ll…

You’re all set, @"xdkatethegreat"! I’ve left our team a note, and they’ll get back to you as soon as they’ve reviewed your case.
-
Hmm I see. Since you mention this is mostly happening for files they don’t access (and which I’m assuming they don’t need to have synced locally), I’d recommend removing them from their Dropbox app with selective sync. This won’t affect the files at all; they’ll be visible online but not locally on the computer, so this…

Hey again, @"Jalby"! I can’t tell for sure if what you asked above will be possible, but I’ve passed your feedback to our team. Also, about your question here “Is there a way to save a document to the dropbox app so you can see real time changes to a view-only file?”, can you clarify what you mean exactly?
-
Hi @"sleddog", and thanks for posting about this here. Can you upload a screenshot of the hourglass you mention? If you hover over the Dropbox icon instead, can you see its app version? Keep me in the loop.
-
Sorry for jumping in, @"ekmaster23". Can you take a look at this Help Center article and let me know if it helps narrow down the issue? It outlines all possible reasons why this may be happening.
-
Hey @"xdkatethegreat"! You don’t need to worry too much about the email address of that account. You can open the ticket with the steps Rich provided above and insert the email address of your current Dropbox account (the one linked to your Community profile here), while explaining the situation in the email you’ll leave…

Geen zorgen, @"Annette161979". Ik heb een ticket voor u geregistreerd op dit e-mailadres. Reageer hierop, dan zullen we dit verder onderzoeken. -------- No worries, @"Annette161979". I’ve logged a ticket for you to this email address. Please reply to it, and we’ll look into this further.
-
@"Sillebille", do you have access to this email address? I can message you there directly and further assist. @"angelahaley", I checked our system and I can see you have a ticket with our support team, which has been escalated to our specialists. Since I understand your frustration, I’ve left them an internal note to get…

Welcome back to our forum, @"mlon"! Let’s gather a few info first. Are you seeing the small Dropbox icon in your system tray? If yes, I’d like to know the Dropbox app’s version and syncing status.
-
Hallo @"Annette161979"! Heeft u misschien nog andere e-mailadressen? Heb je gecontroleerd of je daar een bevestiging van de upgrade hebt ontvangen? Heb je ook rechtstreeks geüpgraded via www.dropbox.com of iTunes/Google Play? ------------- Hi @"Annette161979"! Do you have any other email addresses perhaps? Have you checked…

Thanks for posting on our forum today, @"jolberding"! Can you send me a couple of screenshots of what you see while using the Adobe + Dropbox integration (when it comes to seeing the top lever folder and your Dropbox’s name)? That'll help me look into this further. Ping me, when you’re ready.
-
Hey @"arshia m.", did you see Walter’s post above?
-
Hmm, it doesn’t look like this is your General tab; can you click here and send me a screenshot of the setting I mentioned in my previous post?
-
Thanks for the screenshots, @"rwright", and sorry for jumping in. Can you send one more screenshot of what you see on this page, when scrolling down to the “Online-only files on Mac” section?
-
Thanks for all the updates! Appreciate it. Can you try to quit and relaunch the Dropbox app as the next step? Have you also restarted your device since the issue started?
-
Hi @"Jalby"! Thanks for your post. I’m afraid what you’re asking isn’t possible. At the moment, it’s only possible to change the sharing permissions of a specific member to the whole folder. In this case, this file will need to be placed outside of this folder and shared separately with view-only permissions instead. Hope…
-
Thanks for posting on the forum, @"giselbert74"! If I get this right, you noticed this issue right after installing the Dropbox app on your new Mac computer and the context menu options never worked properly there, correct? What’s the app version and syncing status of your Dropbox app? Also, can you clarify the Dropbox…

Phone support is currently available to paid Business teams, @"foodservices ". If you check your bank statement though, are you seeing direct Dropbox charges or a payment coming from Google Play/iTunes? If this is about a direct Dropbox transaction, I suggest following these steps to contact our support team. Send me your…

I’m afraid this isn’t possible. However, I’ve made sure your feedback has been passed on to our team, so that they can see how this affects you.
