Hi @"VikingPadre", does this behavior happen with all the files in your Dropbox folder, using a cloud icon? Also, I would like for you to locate your Dropbox icon on your task bar, next to your WiFi and hover your mouse there. That should give you the version of the app, could you pass it on to me?

Hi @"SubbaV", let's jump right into this! Is it possible you have a backup enabled and visible on this page on your account? Could you also check your account's plan page, and let me know what it reports there? This will help me to assist further!

Hi @"Megy86", thanks for posting here today! In regards to this email that you received, are you certain that it's coming from non-reply@dropbox.com? Based on the body, it sounds a bit odd indeed, but I'd love to be able to see some screenshots on my end of this too. When you try to respond back to me here, do you see a…

Hi @"Barbara 2022", welcome to our Community! In order to change the owner on your shared folders/files you'd need the current owner, to follow the steps mentioned here. That way, you can take ownership of the content that you need. Let me know if you have any questions!

Hi @"treborrobert", thanks for bringing this to our attention. In general, the Dropbox desktop application does require admin privileges to be installed on a machine, and this would also include any new updates for the app itself for it to function properly. Is it possible that you're using the app without admin rights in…
-
Hi @"IronOre", sorry to hear about that! In regards to the notifications that you mentioned, could you clarify where do you see them? Is it in email notifications, in the app or website? Also, are they notifications about possibly upgrading your account to a different plan? Keep me posted, and we'll take it from there!

Hi @"Slacasse", just to make sure we're on the same page here: did you Airdrop the content from your iPhone to your Mac? Because if this is the case, I'm trying to see how Dropbox is involved in the process, and the steps you followed. Have you checked the properties of these files? If so, what do you see there?…
-
Hi @"Greensandz", how are you today? That should be the path of your user Dropbox content, in your Finder provided you're using Dropbox for macOS. You can always locate your Dropbox icon on your menu bar, next to your WiFi and click the icon. That should give you a pop-up window, with a little Dropbox folder on the top of…

Hi @"Myrna1", can you try to do a quick re-install, using this link? As for the app's syncing status, we need to check if it's up to date. You can click the Dropbox icon in your menu bar, next to your WiFI. The sync status will display at the bottom of the window that appears.

Hi @"rastro2", it will sound trivial but have you tried restarting your device? If you have, I'd suggest that you try an advanced reinstall, and come back with the results.
-
Hi @"J2Harrell", let's jump right into this! Do you also have an Android device, which you're using when you're trying to open your Word files? If so, what is the OS of the device? Also, does this happen with all of your Word documents? Let me know more!

Hey @"Slacasse", thanks for using Dropbox and welcome to our Community! In regards to the creation date of your content, how did you upload it in the first place? I am assuming you used our mobile app, correct? Was it through camera uploads, or manually using the "+" sign? Do the files show the correct metadata when you…
-
Hi @"DaleC", I hope you're doing well! You mentioned this change in the behavior of your aliases, when using your Mac. When did you first notice that this started happening? Also, can you clarify the version of your Dropbox app, and if you're using the new experience of Dropbox for macOS? You can find your version by…
-
Hi @"yarkinzhan", can you check if you can preview the Dropbox link dl=0, using an iOS browser on your end without an issue? If not, feel free to send me a screenshot of what you see on your end, in order for me to have a visual too.
-
Hi @"Joycegtx1951", based on the info you gave us, it seems you might be using a Business plan, is that right? In general, this is a security measure to ensure that users are aware that deleting the file would delete it from other connected devices for others too. We appreciate the feedback on this matter and on the way to…
-
Hi @"Kali4672", do you see the Dropbox path appearing in the Files app on your device? I’m assuming that you have installed our mobile app? Also, do you use the official Gmail app on iOS, or the default iOS Mail app?

Awesome news @"scott117"! This is what I like to hear (or read in our case). 😎

Hi @"rastro2", would you mind trying these steps to see if they help? Click on the Dropbox icon in your menu bar and quit the application Open your Activity Monitor from your Mac Utilities folder Force quit out of the instances of the Dropbox application that are running by searching for "Dropbox" in the search bar, then…
-
Hi @"mg95", thanks for posting here today! The first thing that we need to check in regards to your camera uploads, is the version of the desktop app that you use on your end. You can find this by locating your Dropbox icon on your task bar, next to your WiFi and hovering your mouse over there. It's a bit odd that both…
-
Hi @"Myrna1", let's jump right into this! You mentioned that the files you need aren't available to you, but we don't have much info on our end about this. Can you elaborate a bit? Is the Dropbox app up and running, and if so, what is the current syncing status of the app? If you open your Dropbox folder locally, are you…

Hi @"EagleG", I just sent you an email! I'll see you there.

Hi @"Rob B.35", let's jump right into this! If I understand this right, you're coming across some errors when it comes down to syncing some of your socket files using our app. Could you clarify -or even send us a few screenshots- of the error you get when this happens, and some example file names that this happens to? I…

Hi @"pmurkowsky " , can I send you an email too, in order for us to have a closer look into this?

So, this isn't a consistent behavior, right? @"ben_galaxy" You could try to install Microsoft 365, just to check if you notice a difference on your end.
-
Hi @"PierreSchlum", let's jump right into this! I don't think your account plan could be related to the folder's permissions. Is the shared folder you mentioned visible to you when you access your account's sharing tab? Did your friend try out the steps mentioned here, in order to change your permissions? And if he did,…
