Shared folders use up the quota of all involved, so, if it isn't letting you add the share to your account you do not have enough free space to accept it. You either need to get more, or, get the shared folder reduced in size.

Why not just send them a file transfer? https://help.dropbox.com/share/create-dropbox-transfer

Hi @"andrei1911" You can use Dropbox Rewind to do this 🙂 However, its only available to paying users.

@"Merry2" wrote:Hi again hannah Dropbox just emailed me again saying I've used 80% of space and requesting me to update my plan and I need to make a payment, shall I ignore this. Regards merry As long as you are not over quota you are fine - just keep an eye on it 🙂

Hi @"Riyadh" The Amex offer will tell you if you read it. Usually its limited to a set value or date. So, if its the 31st Dec 2023 for example you'll often get multiple rebates back if they clear to the card before that. However, it isn't never ending - although they may give a new one after this expires.

Hi @"JSO" Is events showing other activities etc. happening on the account?
-
Hi @"conchristodoulou" 1) Shared folders will always keep the name it was initially given. There is no way to change that other than setting up a new share. Remember that people can rename and move it around as much as they'd like 2) What is the error? 3) Why not? What is it saying?

@"Nate B.7" wrote:Thanks for that. Will changing my plan affect any of my data? Hopefully minimal impact and investment of time. The only thing that may happen is team folders will disband to standard shared ones.

Its 2 factor authentication - so either an app you set up (such as Google Authenticiator or 1Password etc.) You may be able to disable it via the old computer at https://www.dropbox.com/account/security

Tried clearing cache and cookies as well as temp internet files and trying again?

Dropbox isnt a hosting service so things on websites are not going to always play well. Please use the correct tool for this and find a hosting service you can use. You are saving yourself lots of trouble in the long run.

This is what Dropbox is designed to do 🙂 Simply install Dropbox on both devices using the same email address and password. Then move the files into the \Dropbox folder and make sure you work on them in that location. They wont sync anywhere else. They will then sync to the cloud and the other computer when its logged in…

If it says you need one then you cannot circumvent that I'm afraid.

Are you using Camera Upload feature @"kkb7" ? If so Dropbox only detects the Camera Roll photos
-
Has anybody reached out to Google to ask why?
-
As long as the symlinks are not inside of Dropbox it will work fine 🙂

@"jgale" wrote:The file names show up but with zero content. Does that mean that they never were in the dropbox even though my screen showed them to be there (maybe it was saving to my hard drive after I ran out of dropbox space even though on my screen it was saying that it was in my dropbox)? Hi @"jgale" Yes it is…

Hi @"Mette1984" The only way to do this is to stop the iTunes subscription and wait for it to downgrade you. THEN you can go and upgrade again on the website. You will NOT loose any files at all. All that happens is your account is downgraded and so syncing stops and wont work until you reupgrade 🙂
-
Hi @"sarasvanberg" Dropbox will stop syncing when you are over space and will show an error on the software on your machine and also email you (if you have it set up). The good thing is if you bring the account under quota the files SHOULD reupload to Dropbox that have been missed as long as they are in your Dropbox folder…
-
If that is what it shows then for that file there was no update in August - either it didn't upload to Dropbox for whatever reason OR it was edited and saved in a different location. Have you tried searching your files for it?
-
It is a shared folder @"NOman334" - that's what the error is saying, you removed yourself from the share. Whats important to remember here is that a folder can be 'shared' but with only one person if you didn't invite anybody else or everybody else left. So, you need to rejoin it at www.dropbox.com/share to regain the…
-
Hi @"Sh1ning" Has your account downgraded yet at www.dropbox.com/account/plan ? Once it does you should be able to upgrade at www.dropbox.com/plans
-
That means you, or somebody else in the share, have removed the access to the shared folder you are in. You could have inadvertently done that by deleting the hidden files within Dropbox. You can try to rejoin at www.dropbox.com/share OR ask somebody to reinvite you.
-
Hi @"Buckminster419" Unfortunately once an account is deleted for inactivity it is permanently removed and not recoverable. I'm afraid if that's happened there is nothing anybody can do 😞
-
You will need to contact the developers Im afraid. I'm not aware of any of these products as I don't use them and wouldn't want to advise anything due to risk of data loss.
-
Its still not possible, no.

@"DanniViolet" wrote:Thank you Mark. I will try and find another encryption tool. I have downloaded thousands of photos already, can I add an encryption service afterwards? Thanks! That'll depend upon the tool I'm afraid.

Go to the web page while logged out (or use an incognito window) and click on the 'get help with account' option which should appear.
-
You must be part of an Enterprise Business plan. It is not available to home users.

That means, as it says, you already have an account with that email. So, you need to log on to it by using a password reset at www.dropbox.com/forgot and either deleting the account OR changing the email on it to a different one
